That poor straight six is one of the nicest engines they have ever had on the show, and they ripped it out to put a coffee table in it's place :( OF COURSE it seems worth it when the six was only running on four cylinders :D MURICA!
To whoever is running this channel, congrats.. I'm from Brazil and here we're cut off from the motor trend app. So it's the only way to watch roadkill now. Big thanks! 🎉
They went away from the motortrend app at least in the US. It’s all on discovery’s streaming app now. I had a motortrend online subscription and they cancelled it when they moved.
I missed so many episodes when they stopped posting it on TH-cam. I’m so glad that there’s a bunch uploaded now so I get to binge watch and catch up on the ones that I missed.
So i had an '89 chevy k1500 back in the day. I sucked water into the anemic tbi 350 and bent probably 2 out of 8 rods. I was pulling a damn good check for a 19 year old kid at the time (2007) so i bought a 600hp blue print 383 stroker, pulled all the 4x4 stuff out, put a built t400 in with a 3200 stall converter. If you remember those late 80s early 90s GM trux, the speedometer was like something out of robocop. They went up to 85 then somewhere around 90, it would start coming up on the other side. Now keep in mind i dont know how accurate it was. I was on my way to my girlfriend's house on the freeway and i had the thing go all the way up to 60mph after it had already been buried. Thats gotta be close to 135-140mph. WITH a 2006 yz450f in the bed. That truck hurt so many feelings. I actually ended up swapping in Dana 60s from a 97 f250 with some decent coilovers. Skyjacker radius arms up front and i made my own trailing arms with a stick welder and old tractor parts. Lockers, np205 tcase, 40 inch baja claws, black d window beadlox, it was an absolute monster. I pulled my buddies mega cab sunk to the frame out of a mud hole and i had to do it on like a 20 degree hill. Pitching softball sized rocks like 100 feet it was badass.... Until one smacked my buddies brand new megacab. I was like "U shouldn't have been sitting there!" Hahaha
Hell yeah, you only need rear wheel drive anyway. Blazers C10 and square body Chevys have always been my favorite trucks. One of these days I’ll get my hands on a nice old square body, or one the old Chevy models.
There's a 55 out there that the guys got on TH-cam the motors locked up and they had to beat the Pistons out of it and all that yada yada. This would be the perfect motor for them dudes
It is an old video, but these 2 dudes hang onto anything/everything even remotely usable(as any worthy hotrodder should!lol) Shoot both of them an email.

The shot of the sideways drift at 22:40 has got to be the best scenes, with that music, on Roadkill thus far. A truly magnificent shot. Well done.
sure was spillin' gas out the cap at 22:27, tho

Love how there was gas pouring out of the cap when sent it off road lol sick truck though

I miss my 72 c10 😢 had a 383 stroker with a big cam 700 cfm carb and 3.73 gears with a welded diff lol got into mid 12s 1/4 mile !
You guys at roadkill always make my day better. Thanks. For the upload.. shout you a brewsky.✌️
I wish u could do an episode about the 292 and upgrade it
Anyone else notice what a suck-up Dulcich is?
Anyone else notice how Frieberger's crazy ego, eats it up?
They are a match made in heaven
C10 is the modern day hotrod

I want this truck so badly
You could have used the notch that was cut out of the frame and flipped it over and welded it in to strengthen the frame
I would love to see that truck go 200mph
Without ground effects it would be very unstable!!☠️
David, I could use that 292 for a 51 Chevy Coupe build.
Brother this video originally aired in 2018.
Dave has his own you tube now
It is an old video, but these 2 dudes hang onto anything/everything even remotely usable(as any worthy hotrodder should!lol) Shoot both of them an email.
We need the crop duster 440 stroker Episodes please
What a sleeper
Did you ever change the gasket/gascap so it doesnt gush out gas when you make a hard right?
Why on earth would you notch frame instead of noting the bolt holes?
Does that truck have the original lower swings arms on the original rear four link ?
What do you guys do with your inventory of builds? Do you sell them off or collect endlessly?
Id take that moter for my gramps truck .
I want that truck ,is it for sale ,I don't plan to tow with it.
Hooligans 😅 👍 🍻
Need a new cherry picker with air come on guys
i needthat truck in my life. not fair lol 😢
Why oh why do these guys not have and use cordless ratchets, and impacts, and other power tools ?
They haf to on a road trip because old tools are bulky and heavy!
Fry-complainer geez just have fun bruh
Id take thst moter for my gramps truck .
No comment about the gas pouring out of the fuel cap as soon as you drive it offroad. Also, at least get both headlights working. 🇨🇦
Don't get it right, just get it running.
THAT'S ROADKILL!!
@@ludicrous7044 BAM!!!
Ali Babba LaLaLaLaLa La Aha ....
Nice swap but really? Drifting it in the dirt... they could have done that exact thing with the 6 banger.
