That’s how they were really. We’re so used to clean-air in stations it’s easy to forget how smoky the first generation diesels actually were. In my memories of the London termini, Paddington, Kings Cross, St Pancras, and Liverpool Street could all be rather hazy in those days. What wonderful days those were.
She's got a couple more things booked a heavier freight run shes already done the cement and a one way passenger in april London Paddington to bescot and then a tour to devon or cornwall from norwich in june
Lol ive seen another video by a lad called destination trains and planes taken from the bridge down the line and it literally disappeared makes good viewing though
It's a shame there was a speed restriction at the end of the station otherwise I think it would have a much more smokier departure if you you watch destination trains and planes video further down the line the engine disappears in clag lol thanks for watching
What a wonderful sound!
Best looking first generation UK diesel class… but engine seems a bit smokey🤔
It was a shame there was a speed restrictions at the end of the station i think it would have been a much smokier departure

I agree with you best days as a trainspotter sadly I missed the westerns by a year
@@kevinbradley1112 I count myself lucky for witnessing a mostly steam railway.
Padd was a blue haze.
