I feel for the war vet, I really hope he overcomes the anxiety, ptsd, depression and all the issue he has. God bless him and restore his life and body. And God give youthful life to Judge Caprio as this world needs him a lot.
Let's hope he doesn't hurt another innocent family cause he's an unaware driver late somewhere. But yeah let's make sure he's given breaks but can't brake for a law abiding red light like all of us legal drivers.

I'm just watching this a year later..My son is Severe PTSD & TBI from his Service in Iraq/Iran & Afghanistan. He was a Sr.Combat Medic and there isn't a day that doesn't pass that I don't Thank GOD that he came home alive. Even though the Veteran who was in your Court was hurt, an has to deal with Demons in his head..He & family sre glad he's back home safe.

Of course we all feel for the Vet, but Who feels for the victims he caused in Iraq ? because of the massive lie. No W M D's were ever found but now a country in ruins with No compensation.
Judges like him can do more good rather than harsh punishments. I once got a police officer let me go with a speeding ticket & because of his kindness, I ALWAYS OBEYED THE SPEED LIMITS BECAUSE OF THIS EXPERIENCE.

This man that served in Iraq needs lots of help. Even an nonprofessional like me could tell that he is “in a dire need to get through in life”.

Bring in more judges, who have compassion. He has an abundance of intelligence and common sense.
1. The Veteran should have been told the Red light was dangerous someone could've been hurt, that wasn't address!
2. That woman was correct in her observation but have no right to chastise the Judge, but she did not insult the Vet.

Sounds like she's pisses because was a Sargent (so obviously he has money) therlir pay is not that great by any means.
I love this court! The judge listens to every persons story and truly empathizes. I also love his stance on our military vets, thank you, may God always bless you.

If that was her husband in the background there, good on him for yelling out "you're my true love!" But, honestly, the veteran's story was heartbreaking. I like this judge. I'm British, if people in Providence are all as down to earth as this guy, we would get along fine. Judge Caprio, good on you, sir. I doff my hat to you. One more sub, and well earned.

Yesssss!!! (while they ALL have power; he's chosen to use it for good) That clause "at the Judge's discretion," is rarely used in the correct & human way it was MEANT to be used... GOD HAS BLESSED HIM God says: "for by his fruits shall ye know him." Clearly he uses his "fruits" for the people, good regular folks tryin to get by the best way they can. Caprio I've noticed gives respect first; if its not reciprocated then it's an issue cuz how can u expect it without first giving it!! Fantastic example of a real life down to earth, yet CLASS ACT..
I'm a vet and I know what he is going through I have 6 brothers and we all served my grandfather and my dad served I'm 70 now and still love all veterans ❤💙♥

This judge is such a wonderful man and role model. I don't have many people to look up to, but I'm so glad that I came across this channel, and I can definitely say without a doubt this man is someone I can look up to. What he said to the war vet brought me to tears, it was so thoughtful and kind. I wish the best for the war vet here and all those who serve.
Loss of hearing can make you very anxious. Plus the other injuries are sad. Our military are wonderful men and women. God bless them.
A film needs to be made about the judge and inspectors life. I would watch it.
That dancer, saying if the speed limit changes from 35 to 25 then she must go 30 somewhere in between assuming continuity in speed--very smart. This is actually the Intermediate Value Theorem from College Algebra... But the application falls victim to false initial assumptions; namely that one must drive the speed limit exactly, no faster, no slower. If this were true, then yes, an instantanious speed change from 35 to 25 would violate continuity and she would have absolutely been correct. But, since a speed limit is exactly that, an upper bound, it's possible to satisfy the constraints of the system by simply going 25 before hitting the new speed limit. Actually, inequality contraints are often very easy to satisfy, generally speaking. Still, her statement was very intelligent.

This poor Veteran has been experiencing so much trials,suffering & tribulations. I pray that he could get proper care & resolve all this mess.

I have had anxiety and depression since I can remember... it is no fun that's for sure. I feel for that vet, but his anxiety and depression is caused from war, mine is from God knows what, whether it be a chemical imbalance in the brain or what but its a real struggle that much I do know and it wears a person out because you can't just shut it off like a light switch!

As a pedestrian I chose not to drive because it overwhelms me and after getting hit by a texting driver that is it for me. So now I walk and bus to work. I have almost been hit by speeding cars running through red signals. Cars, busses, and even cops have almost hit me. I don’t cross the street if there is a red hand even if it is clear. Maybe I am paranoid now but if I did get hit by someone I would probably not be able to make it to court. I do sometimes wonder if those that I have seen run red lights that could have killed me if I was not paying attention got away with a slap on the wrist. I do hope the vet gets some help and I am happy the judge let him go. Still think maybe he should not be on the road if he keeps doing it. It is obviously overwhelming for him.

I do not think that she was insulting that war hero... I think that she meant that the war hero did deserve a chance or a break, but still, the war hero that risked his life for everyone just endangered someone else at a crossing by hurrying to his treatment... and no one knows if he looked around before crossing or it was just sheer luck that nobody came - rightfully - from the left - or from the right -. Giving him a "full pardon" was a risky move, but I really hope that it worked out and he still will be more careful in the future... and stay a hero.
Just by the words this judge used to address the veteran in his court shows this man is not only a patriot but also a compassionate patriot that reveres the people who serve our country. Add that on top of the fact he shows care and concern for every person that shows up in front of him makes this judge amazing. The people of Providence are lucky to have him.

She didn’t insult the war hero.
I can see both sides, on the one hand it’s great to be compassionate and show the upmost respect to those that served their country, on the other hand he really did fly through that red light, that’s how accidents happen. What if he’d have caused a serious accident that day simply because he was late to an appointment.
I’m glad there are Judges like this one and he does a fantastic job but I don’t think it’s fair to accuse someone of insulting a war hero simply because she thought he should be accountable for flying through a red light.
She probably should have quit talking as she was a head though, perhaps there’s a lesson in it for her.
That was her opinion and it's a fair one IMO but it's a perfect example of something you shouldn't say out loud LOL. She dug herself in a hole and couldn't stop digging. I can relate to it, happens to me all the time; luckily, hasn't happened yet with a police officer or a judge.

André Guia What are you even on about, who threatened him and told him not to return? That’s a bit of a drastic leap from saying he should have some consequence for putting lives at risk by running a red light.

I live with my dad just to help out with stuff. He has PTSD, due to his service as an Army Ranger. So I know how what PTSD looks like. And he is truly suffering from PTSD. It breaks my heart.

I thank the war vet for his service, the lady that the judge ask to pay the $20 for the parking tickets the judge give her a brake but she could not simpertize with a veteran that stand for saving lives, unbelievable.

My heart goes out to our veterans but this gentleman (Veteran) had you fined him I would have ran in to pay his fine ! Even thoe I know in this case you wouldn't but you can obviously see he was affected by his service to this country. Some people don't understand how it affects our veterans !
