I was one of the ICT R&D graduates, graduated in 2016 as a software engineer. I have worked with San Francisco based companies and now working for a Danish company as a Software engineer. Just want to put this out that scholarships especially for remote areas helped us reach this stage. Also was part of DPLIT as well, so thank you Syed Ahmad for giving me such an exposure to reach this stage.

@@qasimshah6308 i dont think population matter much into it, labour does play an imporant role for labour intensive sectors like Infrastructure but IT need a quality educational infrastructure with a good aptitude from students. Bangladesh has 16 cr population but has 1 billion IT industry.
      What India help is..
      1. Intense Competition (look JEE exam)
      2.Logical aptitude of students
3.Boom after Indians solved Y2K issues for world
      4.Education curriculum
      5. Premier institutes(Believe me I have seen IIT’s, Students there are hungry to learn)
      6. Government Support(Make in india, digital india, scholarship, research grants)
What I think Pakistan can do is reap the benefit of demographic dividend and open the avenue for IT, It need government aggressive support(connecting world market, changing Pakistan image, spending on education and design a focused curriculum like india did with NEP2020)
Its sad that pakistan is missing out such a big market like India in their neighbourhood which has ample of opportunities, I have seen africans, germans ,swedish even Bangladeshi’s taking placements in google and other big tech from studying in IIT’s .
If relation improves both countries has opportunites but pakistan has alot to take.

Like there is a culture of not delivering the complete product in software industry so that we have "continuous" source of income. Also the people who have highest GPAs can't write a proper email. They don't know about body language. They are sadly tamed horses.
We have courses on soft skills but we are taking those just for passing it.

Mr. Ahmad seems to be totally oblivious to India's global success in the IT industry and the level of work being done out of India. This ho-hum attitude is what has made Pakistan a global beggar which is begging and pleading IMF for a billion dollars. And as of today that USD 10 billion is just a pipe dream for Pakistan. Why don't we speak pure Urdu or English. I have seen this in Pakistan people tried to express themselves in English even they're not comfortable. Please speak Urdu as much as you can and don't get into English complex.
