Banana Fish---The story captures the war between a mafia boss named Dino and a young gang leader searching for redemption Erased---29-year-old Satoru Fujinuma is sent back in time 18 years to prevent the events leading to his mother's death, which began with a series of kidnappings while he was in 5th grade.
Hi Lakia! If you loved this this movie you should watch Little Women (2019)!! It's unspeakably great. Great casting, direction, story (other american classic by a female author). It just makes you feel warm inside.
I actually agree with Mr. Darcy on his reasoning to break up Mr. Bingley and Jane. While those two were very much In love, Mrs. Bennett and her sisters were so loud and vocal to everyone about being an “advantageous marriage” for them that as his friend, Mr. Darcy obviously had the reason to protect Bingley and keep him from getting his life ruined. What he did was wrong (meddling into someone else’s relationship) but he did it with good intentions at heart.
And Elizabeth tried to dissuade Charlotte from marrying Colins for what she felt were valid reasons, it’s just Darcy was successful. I’m sure Lady Lucas would have been furious at Elizabeth had she succeeded in convincing Charlotte to break with Colins just as Elizabeth was with Darcy.
The more i watch the movie (i don't really remember the book), i get the feeling that it was really Mr. Bingley's sister that actually pushed for the breakup, but Mr. Darcy (the quintessential gentleman we find out he is) took the whole rap. I really can't see Darcy like, "bro, you gotta dump her, her whole family trifling". But i can see the sister saying that, and Darcy tacitly agreeing.
@@ltyancey4283 I just read that part in the book, and while his sisters were very much against the marriage for the same reasons as Mr.d Darcy, it was Mr. Darcy who was like "You CAN'T marry her," but his sisters just concurred, but they wouldn't have brought it up. At least not in so forceful a way. I guess it's just the opposite of what you said. Mr. Darcy said it, and Miss Bingley agreeing
For context, 15 years old would still have been considered a bit young to get married even in the 1800s. Wickham just totally took advantage of poor Georgiana, partially because she was so young and naive (just like Lydia). The actual average marriage age at the time was closer to 18 or early 20s (in other words, closer to the age of Elizabeth and Jane, who are supposed to be 20 and 22). Charlotte is, actually, supposed to be 27 and, therefore, she was getting closer to 30 which is why she was starting to get a bit antsy about not being married yet.
Yes. Only for royalty who are concerned with monarchical ambitions are bethrothals or marriages at younger age common. Even for the upper classes, the average age is late teens to early 20s.
« If Darcy is the main meal, Wickham is the appetizer. You're not even the snack ok?! » the best sentence the planet ever carried. I'M DEADDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to watch my favorite film!!!! I really like your comments about it!!!!
Not sure if anyone has explained but Mr. Collins, yes, is the Bennett's cousin, but he was also looking to marry one of the daughters because he was the heir to the estate (daughters/women could not inherit property). It would be in the family's best interest (and good manners) to marry him so that they could keep living in their home if their father died. As weird and awkward as he is, I always interpreted his actions to be done out of kindness. He didn't want to feel as if he were taking the family's home away.
THIS!! also, even if you didn’t like him, much like Charlotte you didn’t have to share each other company anyways, just for children and those things you’re suppose to do as a married couple. other than that, you get the estate and title so🤷♀️
Very true, I agree that was his instigating intent, but I will also counter that it was not flawless kindness. He was rather high handed, with an attitude of entitlement, and became a bit petty when Elizabeth turned him down. I understand he was a man of his era, and that his pride had been hurt, but if his pure intention had been to keep the home in the family's hands he could have considered Mary, I think she would have agreed.
20:31 The thing is, even for this time, a man Mr. Wickham’s age pursuing a 15 year old was still weird and seen as predatory especially because Georgiana was rich. Large age gap marriages happened most often in the high nobility because a lot of it is political marriage. Darcy isn’t nobility. He’s just rich. Jane Austen purposely wrote Wickham as the type to take advantage of young girls.
He wasn't nobility, but he WAS the grandson of an Earl, that is to say his mother would have had the courtesy title of "Lady". So he's not too distant from nobility.

It's not that Lizzie is not pretty - it's that she is usually overshadowed by Jane's loveliness. Also most of KK's beauty is in her eyes which is accurate to Lizzie.
They always do it pretty well, when Elizabeth reads the letter and finds herself comparing Darcy's story with Wickham's, realising how strange it was for Wickham to tell her basically his whole life story when they'd only met literally once before and were still relative strangers, how Wickham said he had nothing to hide and would never avoid Darcy's company and then didn't go to the party he knew Darcy would be at, and how he said he'd never disgrace Darcy out of respect for the late Mr Darcy's kindness to him and yet as soon Bingley and Darcy left the area somehow the whole town knew about it. "Pride and Prejudice" by the late Ms. Jane Austen is an absolute classic. My wife and I were blessed to be in England for a couple of months, and we visited the Burghley House (which in the movie was Rosings, Lady Catherine de Bourgh's home). We also visited the Peak district and Stanage Edge where Elizabeth stood on a cliff in the wind. We also went to Chatsworth, (which in the movie was Pemberly, Mr. Darcy's home) and it is magnificent. I'm so glad we watched the movie before being in England as it made our visit so much more enjoyable. We also visited Kirby Hall, which was the setting for Mansfield Park in the movie of the same name. Again, so glad we had seen the movie as it made the visit much more meaningful.
That conversation at the end makes you feel uncomfortable because it feels like you’re spying on a very personal, intimate moment between a couple. That tells us that you’re a good person, who doesn’t spy/eavesdrop on people when they’re unaware🙂
When you said "I fell into a trap" I literally cackled and shouted at my screen "That's what happens when you let Spark Notes read your books and do your homework!" - You are hilarious! I love it!
“Girl, she young and dumb” 🤣 best description of Lydia ever! Also I once had a dream of Pride and Prejudice where the Bennetts were Kris Jenner and the Kardashian/Jenner girls and now I can never unsee it 🤣
This movie is my favorite version of the book. I can’t mentally watch the longer version, so this gem is just perfect. I’m so glad you enjoyed it so much! (Good job on the little skit for the sponsor by the way!)
Joe Wright did such a phenomenal job directing this. He really encapsulated the vital points to tell the essence of the story, without the length of the longer, BBC version.
I agree. I think the main thing for me is that this feels more grounded and more realistic in a way, whereas the BBC version sometimes feels more "acted", more like you consciously know you're watching something fake. This movie is just able to completely transport you.
@@liv97497 lol how is the 2005 more grounded? It's so dramatic (crossing the line to melodramatic on occasions) and I am obviously not saying you aren't allowed to prefer it, just saying that just because it's more modernized and suited to 21st century sensibilities, doesn't mean It's more grounded or realistic. I can barely get through it personally because I experience it as a (very American feeling) themepark ride. Yelling and kissing in the rain? Elaborate dance sequences with long lingering looks across the ballroom? Not-like-other-girls-Lizzie giving lip while barging into Netherfield with her hair undone, her outfit unfastened and her dress half muddied? Literally not here to start beef haha but 2005 was NOT the more realistic version. It just used more modern ways to convey the story and was therefor more relatable to you.

If you're in it for the long haul, I would recommend the BBC 1995 Pride and Prejudice 6 episode series with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle. I can't tell how much I love this version! It goes into so much more detail and it is more historically/book accurate in the costumes/dialogue. I can't find a TH-camr who has reacted to this version and would love to see your take on it. 💙 Lovely reaction as always girl!
Hi! The 1995 version is my favorite and I’ve always wanted to watch a reaction too. I had just recently found someone that reacted to the 1995 version. I haven’t watched it just yet, but I’ve linked it below😁 th-cam.com/play/PLQgNiQVcpNPzeGA7twi7ogPysOd7tJyS1.html
1995 version is the best version ever. The casting was spot on, Lizzie was fiesty not pouty and D' Arcy was broody and cynical not just sullen. Loved the costumes and scenery too. Great direction.
I love how girls who watch Jane Austen, all of us, always get that starey eyed look during the confession. I don't know why this video popped up in my suggested videos but you're so funny and silly and I hit the subscribe!

YESS I’m so glad you liked it!!! Please watch the series, you have not known slow burn till you’ve suffered through six episodes of enemies to friends to enemies to lovers I’ve seen this movie SO many times but your edits absolutely cracked me up x
This was such a great reaction, usually people who react to this movie have seen it many times, it was so refreshing you didn't know what was coming! Ahhh you should check the book, and other Jane Austen adaptations. Sense and sensibility is amazing too!
i think mr wickham ran off with lydia in attempt to ruin the bennet name so Elizabeth could never be with Mr Darcy because in the book he found out (i forgot when) at some point that they have feelings for each other. Mr wickham only married Lydia because Mr Darcy gave him money. Also yes Elizabeth is her father's favorite
P&P is the gold standard of enemies to lovers, because they are really only "enemies" due to misjudgment, misunderstanding and miscommunication that is not contrived, but rather is the nature and standard for their class and time. But when that is allowed to fall away, it's apparent how well matched they actually are (nevermind that they were instantly physically attracted to each other as well). There's no real heinous or relevant barrier, they just needed to get over themselves, get to know each other, grow into better people and take the chance despite the perceived imbalance of their standing (although after all Mr Darcy is a gentleman and Elizabeth a gentleman's daughter)
I love this movie so much. I remember seeing it for the first time in highschool and I was trying to act like I wasn't completely swooning the entire time
I was a late bloomer when it came to romance (picture Fred Savage in The Princess Bride: "Ew! Kissing!") but now that I'm later on in years I've come to appreciate and adore beautiful romance stories like Austen's.
As a long time Jane Austen fan, this is my favorite reaction to any of her works. You absolutely nailed the subtle social comedy and drama she was portraying. Well done!!!!!
i usually get so uninterested halfway through reaction videos, but ohmygod. i was so intrigued the whole 30 mins by ur energy, the movie itself and the editing!!! new subscriber yes ma'am
I get you about the weird discomfort at the end, I often feel the same with scenes like this. For me, I think it has to do with how intimate it is? 'Intimacy' is implicitly supposed to be private & between the lovers only; in these contexts, anyway. Idk...I feel weirdly voyeuristic when film scenes get too intimate lol. I'm SUPPOSED to watch them & these characters aren't real anyway but idk....I have sense & respect for privacy, regardless ig lol.
girl, I legit never comment (I really be a lurker) but your reaction was exactly what I needed. I was having a horrible week and your reaction was amazingly edited, you spoke so well, I was dying half the time with your jokes. I am so excited to binge hour videos! Thanks for uploading!
I'm laughing so hard, you are so funny 🤣 from the beginning mattress segment to the memes and you putting yourself in Elizabeth's role. I'm glad this was recommended to me
AMC re-aired that version some years ago and I set out to watch it because I have always wanted to and that was as good a time as any. My sister complained about it but sat to watch it with me anyway. She watched with me every night it was on. Then when I bought the set on DVD it somehow mysteriously made it's way to her room and if I wanted to watch it I'd have to go get it from her.
@@Ms.July-Moon My brother used to do that with my albums back in the day. He’d talk crap about the bands while we listened to the records. Strangely, many of those albums, from bands he purportedly didn’t like, would mysteriously end up in his room, as if by magic. Of course, he’d have ‘No idea how they got there,’ or, when pushed further, he’d blame his friends for taking them. Yeah, sure, Matt. I believe you…🤣
Girl, I feel you on the discomfort of romance scenes. I even do what you did by pulling my shirts or dresses over my nose and I don’t why. I feel like giggling and hiding my face at the same time. I also laugh when uncomfortable and I can’t stand awkward scenes on TV. I fast forward over those scenes if I’m alone and just cringe if I’m not. I don’t know why I have these reactions.
I know you said you love a period piece so I 100% recommend the movie: Emma.(2020) I think it may qualify as another enemies to lovers and it’s pretty funny due to the director’s style and choice of filming
I absolutely love the soundtrack in this film! The end song where mr Darcy is walking through the mist sounds exactly like what I imagine falling in love sounds like.
Girl you’re making my day!! Every time you post a reaction video I’ll be like celebrating because you’re my favorite person who makes reaction commentary videos and you got me laughing girl lol. can’t wait for the next video!!
I love watching your videos because it feels like I'm watching them with a really good friend! Especially this one! This is my favorite movie and I love seeing your reactions because that's exactly how I react to these scenes!
Now that you watched Pride and Prejudice you have to watch: Lost in Austen a 4 episode mini series: A twist on Jane Austen's classic novel sees disillusioned modern working girl Amanda Price `swap' her life for Austen's celebrated heroine, Elizabeth Bennet. Trapped in the unfolding fiction, Amanda must try her utmost to fit in among the Bennets, Bingleys and Darcys, but her presence in the characters' lives sets unforeseen episodes in motion.
Depending on your interpretation of the text, Gilgamesh and Enkidu (from the Epic of Gilgamesh) are the oldest Enemies to Lovers. The depths of Gilgamesh's grief for Enkidu's loss is telling.
I think it was well received, I honestly don't remember, but I know I liked it. I've only seen this version and the Colin Firth one from 1995 but there's a bunch more. I happen to be a big fan of historical movies. P.S.: Lol, that was not Fleur (Clemence Poesy) from Harry Potter, that is Rosamund Pike, I guess she's probably most known for being in "Gone Girl" with Ben Affleck.

That conversation at the end makes you feel uncomfortable because it feels like you’re spying on a very personal, intimate moment between a couple. That tells us that you’re a good person, who doesn’t spy/eavesdrop on people when they’re unaware🙂
"Sir do you own a home"
Me, knowing he got a big ass house: "GET HIM SIS!"
When you said "I fell into a trap" I literally cackled and shouted at my screen "That's what happens when you let Spark Notes read your books and do your homework!" - You are hilarious! I love it!
The way she was awkwardly laughing uncomfortably and enjoying it at the same time lmao I feel her
Bruh, I love the skit! Out here being an actress, as you should 😎
💀 thanks
@@LakiaJaiTV YES wasn’t expecting the skit but LOVED it! You’ve worked hard Lakia! 👋🏼🌷
“Girl, she young and dumb” 🤣 best description of Lydia ever!
Also I once had a dream of Pride and Prejudice where the Bennetts were Kris Jenner and the Kardashian/Jenner girls and now I can never unsee it 🤣
Her getting flustered when Mr Darcy shows up unexpectedly, like, he didn’t give her anytime to primp and get prepared 😭
I also much prefer this version to the BBC version. Everyone in the BBC version just looks whaaaaay too old for the age they're supposed to be.
4:44 Rosamund Pike can play an English Rose and Amy Dunne. The Range. What an actress 🔥
"Doc what's that suppose to me?" *Doc ignores* "For you and your partner if you have one....which you don't" "Your problems are solved you don't need to be here, Get Out!!! 🤣🤣 Doc Lakia a savage.
I love the skit!! Such a creative way to fit a sponsor. (Get that money!! 😎)
Thank you lol
I absolutely ADORE this version of Pride and Prejudice I honestly think I watched it like 37 times
Lovely reaction as always girl!
Hi!
The 1995 version is my favorite and I’ve always wanted to watch a reaction too.
I had just recently found someone that reacted to the 1995 version. I haven’t watched it just yet, but I’ve linked it below😁
th-cam.com/play/PLQgNiQVcpNPzeGA7twi7ogPysOd7tJyS1.html
DUDE this 10000x. I absolutely hate this film.
1995 version is the best version ever. The casting was spot on, Lizzie was fiesty not pouty and D' Arcy was broody and cynical not just sullen. Loved the costumes and scenery too. Great direction.
"I'm a guest here."
"You're a guest everywhere, sir! Do you own a home?"
Killed me xD
I love how girls who watch Jane Austen, all of us, always get that starey eyed look during the confession. I don't know why this video popped up in my suggested videos but you're so funny and silly and I hit the subscribe!
this is literally my first time watching you and i absolutely ADORE your sense of humor. you're a fucking GEM of a human being. SO witty AND charming! honestly, the intro is what kept me hooked. the Full House theme song took me OUT =))))))))) i am SO happy that i discovered you. initially, i'd been watching Zzavid and your video popped up among the recommended list. THIS is the kind of content that i signed up for ^-^ thank you!
Hear hear!
Aww So sweet
Omg a zzavid fan! Hell yea
I love Lakia and zzavidddd
I can’t ahah
“He did not JSUT call me ugly”
“Say it Darcy why are u here”
Literally me inserting myself as elizabther
YOUR REACTIONS!!!! god i love that you FELT the hand scene 😩 you watching this was like looking in a mirror 😆😆
this movie was made for the female gaze and your reactions are even more proof lol you giggling every time darcy was on screen made my day, like yes thats the mr darcy effect lmao
im so glad you reacted to this, its one my favorites of all time and you’re one of my favorite reaction channels 💛💛
This is one of my favorite movies! I literally watch it at least once a year. It's just so wholesome. Since you enjoyed this I'd recommend you watch Emma. It's another Jane Austin romance adaptation. The 2020 version was really good.
Lakia: "You're a guest everywhere, sir. Do you own a home?" 🤣
13:52 “You spineless bastard”- me after my professor doesn’t give us extra credit
😩😭😭
😂😂😂
You have bewitched me body and soul...this scene gives me goosebumps and sheer giddiness I can't get anywhere else!
Your reactions are EXACTLY how I react every time I rewatch this movie. 🙌🏼🥰😂
16:49 I can do this, I can do this, I can do this-PANIC! 😳
So relatable…
*"Mr. Darcy is engaged to my daughter!"*
*"Now what do you have to say?"*
*INCEST!* 🤣
LOL you're reactions are too cute!
BTW try out audiobook if you don't want to read the book.
the ~cinematography~ of the sponsor portion
9:30 fangirling over holding hands how true of you 😩🙌✨♥️
YESS I’m so glad you liked it!!! Please watch the series, you have not known slow burn till you’ve suffered through six episodes of enemies to friends to enemies to lovers
I’ve seen this movie SO many times but your edits absolutely cracked me up x
not you being a doctor 😂 this nickelodeon role play
editing is hilarious and top notch on this one
thank you for visiting one of my favorite movies
This was such a great reaction, usually people who react to this movie have seen it many times, it was so refreshing you didn't know what was coming! Ahhh you should check the book, and other Jane Austen adaptations. Sense and sensibility is amazing too!
"I felL iNTo a TrAp" hahaha felt the same way when I first watched this ahahah
i think mr wickham ran off with lydia in attempt to ruin the bennet name so Elizabeth could never be with Mr Darcy because in the book he found out (i forgot when) at some point that they have feelings for each other.
The scene in the rain is superior, it's so good 👏 also 11:38 is iconic😂😂💔 imma use that one day
The end might feel a bit awkward because it’s such an intimate look into how much they love each other. I love this movie and I love your commentary 😊
i usually get so uninterested halfway through reaction videos, but ohmygod. i was so intrigued the whole 30 mins by ur energy, the movie itself and the editing!!! new subscriber yes ma'am
When a duel of minds is a means of courting. This movie does it best.
"You're a guest everywhere sir, do you own a home?"
Omfg I'm dying 😭
I get you about the weird discomfort at the end, I often feel the same with scenes like this. For me, I think it has to do with how intimate it is? 'Intimacy' is implicitly supposed to be private & between the lovers only; in these contexts, anyway. Idk...I feel weirdly voyeuristic when film scenes get too intimate lol. I'm SUPPOSED to watch them & these characters aren't real anyway but idk....I have sense & respect for privacy, regardless ig lol.
Lakia, you’d be a great candidate to play Elizabeth Bennet. You have the infectious humour down pat 😂
Seeing this reaction I am so happy that the version I watched all these years does not have the awkward “Mrs.Darcy” ending! 😂
I couldn’t help but laugh when you said “incest” in immediate response to Mr. Darcy’s Aunt asking, “what have you to say?”
😂😂😂
I laughed so hard through this whole reaction!!
girl, I legit never comment (I really be a lurker) but your reaction was exactly what I needed. I was having a horrible week and your reaction was amazingly edited, you spoke so well, I was dying half the time with your jokes. I am so excited to binge hour videos! Thanks for uploading!
Not me watching this because I love the way you speak about the characters
"Sir you're a guest everywhere! Do you own a home?!" that made me laugh out loud!!!
I'm laughing so hard, you are so funny 🤣 from the beginning mattress segment to the memes and you putting yourself in Elizabeth's role. I'm glad this was recommended to me
you GOTTA watch the series of this from the 90's
it's a 5 episode series based off the book as well, it's so romantic
Jane is played Rosamund Pike, she was Amy in Gone Girl and was the star in the recent film I Care a Lot
I know you said you love a period piece so I 100% recommend the movie: Emma.(2020) I think it may qualify as another enemies to lovers and it’s pretty funny due to the director’s style and choice of filming
Do uk where can I watch it
"You a guest everywhere, Sir do you own a home?" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I absolutely love the soundtrack in this film! The end song where mr Darcy is walking through the mist sounds exactly like what I imagine falling in love sounds like.
Girl you’re making my day!! Every time you post a reaction video I’ll be like celebrating because you’re my favorite person who makes reaction commentary videos and you got me laughing girl lol. can’t wait for the next video!!
💯💯
I love watching your videos because it feels like I'm watching them with a really good friend! Especially this one! This is my favorite movie and I love seeing your reactions because that's exactly how I react to these scenes!
THE WAY YOU DID THE SCENE WITH DARCY AND ELIZABETH ALONE IN CHARLOTTES HOUSE LMAOO THE MUSIC AND THE ZOOMS IM WEAKK
bro ur so funny and i love this movie! haven’t seen that many ppl talking ab it so glad u reacted to it
Now that you watched Pride and Prejudice you have to watch:
Lost in Austen a 4 episode mini series: A twist on Jane Austen's classic novel sees disillusioned modern working girl Amanda Price `swap' her life for Austen's celebrated heroine, Elizabeth Bennet.
The editing on this is SO funny lmao. My favourite P&P reaction yet.
not me watching the whole ass ad completely hooked on the story 😆
lakia you really know how to make an ad not feel like an ad 😉
This is one of my favorite movies. I love the chemistry between them, and the pure romance 😍. Amazing reaction 😊
The editing and your commentary are just *chef's kiss*
this is always going to be my comfort movie
The first time I heard Mr Darcy say that about her Dad I almost took my hoops off and said "Whatchu say about my daddy?!". I felt that! But yeah, Mr Darcy totally redeemed himself. 🥰💘
Guurrrlll....this shyt lit af. 24:23 is all im living for. " he may not be the most sociable but he always around"... Deadass. Also thanx for living my dream, i likr tothink of myself of a somewhat eliza smyself, but then don't we all
How did I stumble upon this magically hilarious video?! I loved this reaction! Thanks for the laughs this morning
This is one of my favorite movies of all time and I can’t explain why. Its another costume drama, but It’s just so wholesome, and the music, the scenery. The message about how your pride can stand in the way of your happiness. The romance is just chefs kiss. Idk this movie is a 10 for me.
*i recommend "gosford park", "jane eyre", "macbeth", "marie antoinette", "the other boleyn girl", "v for vendetta", "mary queen of scots" and "sense and sensibility"*
