The Shingo Institute, a program of the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University, has awarded Noel Hennessy and John Bicheno the Shingo Publication Award for their book Human Lean.
Human Lean provides a comprehensive overview of the human aspects essential for successful Lean transformations. It covers concepts from operations management, psychology, systems thinking, and change management drawn from over 150 authorities.

As a person driving Lean transformation in four global companies for over 20 years, I am so happy to know that this book on human side of Lean is published. Human Lean is the most important yet the hardest thing to develop in Lean Transformation and therefore no surprise that majority of Lean Transformations stayed at tool, process and systems level, not a real transformation in my view, as it is not suitable and not achieving the full business potential.
