Thanks a lot ! Yeah , I liked more with that rust , even more rust if it had , was more nicer for Halloween . But the rust eat the metal and I thought to save this awesome coin bank .
You amaze me with the breadth of your knowledge of the materials you use to achieve various restorations, to say nothing about the level of your skills.
Might be able to apply a "wash" to make it look older... tone down the shiny fresh powder coating... BUT, still a wonderful piece! And I am glad it was saved 💀👻
@@lacucaracha111111 -Achmed, the name given to the bank, is a reference to Achmed the Dead Terrorist. A puppet by Jeff Dunham. You should find some of his videos and laugh your butt off.
This was a fast one compared it seems!!! Stared watching your vides when u were expecting your daughter (hope she's doing well), and they are still as relaxing as ever.....
I've been following your restorations for a while, and I really admire your work! I have a question about the sandblasting process - what kind of media did you use? I'm genuinely interested in learning more about the material you chose and the reasons behind your choice. Also, I think choosing to restore such a unique piece was truly inspired. Thank you, and congratulations on an excellent restoration!
Hi and good Luck with your projects . I use: glass beads , aluminum oxide , red corundum . They are used for soft materials to the hard ones in the way I wrote them. 👍
This is amazing! You can tell the original was hand painted with alot of shading to make the bones look old and discolored om purpose. This a little too clean.
You did a fantastic job here, as always, though I can't help but think this guy would benefit from a more layered and intricate approach to the paint job. It already looks fantastic, but some highlights and some darker areas to emphasize the little cracks and grooves would really make this thing look great
Thank you. This was very satisfying and enjoyable to watch. Except for one part - I felt a little anxious when you burned and then sand-blasted the old white paint without testing if it contains lead. The object looks old enough to have lead white used on it. Be careful, stay safe and thank you for a great video :o)
Lovely restoration. My one of these has a gold band with red jewel (both painted) on the middle finger clutching the gold. You can see the bone between the knuckles is larger and rounded where its suppose to be. It also has gold on the bands around the neck.
@@CoolAgainRestoration It has made me wonder if mine has been repainted at some point, albeit poorly. Gold paint overlapping in several areas - the little finger has been painted over completely.
That’s a good thing. I have a huge scar on my right thigh from a play kitchen set I had as a child. It was a child sized sink, stove, and fridge made of flimsy sheet metal. Wanna guess what happened when I tried to climb on it? 16 stitches, that’s what happened.
dont get me wrong, i looove the finish. A cool idea would have been to leave the teeth with the bare metal and just polish them up, and just mask them off when painting the rest. Make it look like skelly-mans has a grill 😂😂
For your next restoration, can you please do a mountain bike (could be a cheap or expensive bike; does not matter)? I feel like it would be really cool to see how you would restore it in comparison to what other people do.
Oh no, I'm late! Tysy Tube restored one of these a few years back, and I've seen that video. Somehow, when this one came up in my feed I thought it was his that I'd already watched. Thank goodness I just searched your channel or I would've missed this video!
Thank you for the Halloween video! This is the cutest bank I have seen. You should get that silver dollar appraised, some of the older ones are worth 10k.
Nice little job there Mr. Cool Again 👏👏👏, and a fun choice for Halloween 😁👍, although he'd actually be pretty cool all year round 😉👉. Thanks for sharing 🙏. 😎
Awesome restore. Would live to see him looking a bit more skeletony. Maybe highlight the cracks and add some shadow effects to him. Maybe having him look like Tarman from Return of the Living Dead.
This particular object looked more convincing before the renovation :P But nice job :)

there are aways amazing artists and ways to replicate the rust appearance
Stop complaining loser

I knew I couldn't be the only one
🤣🤣🤣🤣
No bones about it, a result you can bank on! Spook-tacular job 💀👍🏻
Thanks a lot mate 😊
01:41 *There are 13 parts, now ready for the restoration process* here... How pretty unlucky, isn't it...🤨?
I laughed my head off seeing this comment, a real bone-rattler isn't it?
Awesome work my friend. I love the attention to detail polishing the shafts of the screws even when they will be hidden inside.
Thanks a lot my friend , yeah , they are hidden but the rust works there too 😬
This may not be your hardest restoration, but it might be your most jaw dropping one. Prefect for the season.
Jaw dropping and eye popping! So good.
Thanks a lot guys , glad you enjoyed 😊
Yay! A Halloween episode. Smoking skull, nice🦇
Thanks a lot , glad you enjoyed 😊
Я в приятном шоке! Очень интересно, а главное - великолепно!!!
Great job. A thin brown wash on the skeleton would look really good.
I enjoyed every part of this video.
Thoroughly, mechanical aspects, chemical techniques, the subtle quietness. I wish I could see another today.
I try my best to make another quality restoration very soon but quality took me time 🤯
This was a fast one compared it seems!!!

Thank you very much and glad you still enjoy 😊wish you all the best
I just absolutely love these videos, especially yours!
Thanks a lot and happy to hear that 😊 cheers
Honestly, I would have missed the guy holding on to coins. Saw that only when you painted it gold. Nice job!
Thank you very much 😊
His expresion during removing his jaw says it all :D
Jeff would love this at his house, but Achmed would probably glare at him (and you) and say I’ll keel you!!!
Lol, awesome job!!!
❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks a lot 😅😊 wish you all the best
Jawdropping restauration. The cleanliness I can feel it in MY BONES
You really brought this guy back to life 😂
great work
Thanks 😊
How amazing, what a gift you have to be able to do this!!!
Thank you for the show 😁

Not gonna lie, that thing reminds me of Achmed the Dead Terrorist.
Great job of restoring it.
Thanks a lot , glad you enjoyed 😊
@@johnpeterson9416 was thinking the same thing that the coin bank looked like Achmed
He’s not dead it’s a flesh wound
"Spook-tacular" restoration job. That "Hungry Skull" coin bank looks much better than before and it works like a charm too. Excellent work as usual.
Thank you very much and glad you enjoyed 😊 wish you all the best
Perfect timing your videos always help me sleep it’s so relaxing
IKR??? And it's a really good sleep too😂
That;s really cool, although his original condition did give him a bit more of a spooky feel.
the original look was really nice but i do love the gold coins in the restored one. very neat item!
Thank you very much and glad you enjoyed 😊
Creepy little money gobbler! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks a lot ! Yeah , could be improved but my first thought was to restore it like original 😊
This one creeped me out & then I laughed 😂 at the end. LOL. Worth waiting for.
Thanks and glad you liked it 😊
可愛い貯金箱ですね😊
Thanks 😊
Dişler beyaza, burun deliği siyaha ve kafatası da eskitilmiş bir renk ile boyanabilirdi. Ama yine de güzel görünüyor. Tebrikler.
Restoring the sulci in the skull was a nice touch.
Wonder if you ever recast? Seems as not that many parts and making own casting wouldn't be to to hard. Looks great especially the touch ups on cracks.
I never casted parts , but I will try in the future 😊

Relaxing to watch.

Really cool, I love it. 💀👍
Thank you very much 👍

I saw some of that but I thought them are not originally because most of them hasn’t that gold

I had an uncle who had one similar to this, I've been looking for one for myself since sometime in the late 1970s.
Awesome 👏
