    The offset attachment for the three point hitch on the front is for aligning the plows with the tractor..As you rotate the bar the rear of the plows move left or right you adjust them so they run in line with your tractor as you set it up. Also if after each use I use cheap spray paint or used oil on the fronts of the plows where they shine.. Whatever you use wears off the next time but at least you don’t get that deep rust happening on your steel.

    Thanks for the walkthrough. I purchased a Dearborn 2 bottom plow for my 51 Ford 8N. I don't farm, just food plots for deer hunting.

    I think the 135 might be less than 40hp

      Thomas Schmitt Homestead project it's a good piece of the puzzle but it does take a good tractor to pull it.

    Where are the coulter wheels normally in front of the plowshare?

    He don’t know what he’s taking about on the offset where the hitch arm attaches!!! Has nothing to do with the spring trip bottom

      So could you explain what it is for then?

    • @randallstewart8487
      @randallstewart8487 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@redneckmini14 its off set on level ground,but after you plow the first furrow,your right side wheels fall into the previous furrow and tractor sets low to right side,plows are off set to level up when tractor sits into previous furrow,if more adjustment is needed you can use the bottom right side adjustable hitch on tractor to level it more if needed so both moldboards are plowing at the same depth!

      @@redneckmini14 Certainly, it is used to align the plow to the tractor as the tractor is driving down the furrow, keeping the plow level and cutting to a consistant depth.
