Thank you for uploading a modified race as well! If I may request an - entirely different - race: the 1997 Winston 500, the fastest race in NASCAR history.
I was at the Service Electric 100, the last NASCAR race ever held at Nazareth Speedway that followed the final Xfinity race there in 2004. The racing they put on is electric, the fact they get around the track faster than a Cup car, and the unique smell of the different tire compounds and oil they use makes it stand out more. They raced 100 laps around the 1-mile track, and I'm not sure what happened but caution after caution came out. Todd Szegedy smoked everyone by leading 93 laps and beating Ken Barry and Ted Christopher after the race was pushed to 104 laps due to a GWC finish. Forty cars started, twenty-seven finished with 9 cautions for 52 of 104 laps. Mike Stefanik wasn't in the race, but Ruggerio and Hirschman were in it. There was a 16 car in that race driven by Rob Summers who finished 9th.
The real stars of NASCAR- then and now. No whiners, no rich and pampered brats, just real racers doing it for the love of the sport and the glory of victory.
Compared to a NASCAR cup car, the Modified is lighter than one, and and it’s actually more powerful than the Next Gen car (750 Horsepower compared to 670)
I feel like the whelen series should have some respect. They should be on national television. Very underrated series.
They are... Every Mod race airs on tape-delay on NBCSN.
@@racermac1988 yeah thats the point, they are never live
@@SvechnikovPucks they are on NBC Sports Gold.
@@racermac1988 yeah but who really has that
Some of the races were on broadcast TV in the 1980’s + 1990’s
Now THIS is the kinda classic content I like to see!!!

I guarantee you will not find a soul that doesn’t love modified racing
this series is so underrated, i always love this series tho, the first time i knew this series is from Nascar 09 game on PS2
Thanks NASCAR for the upload.
I like this. I feel like the modified series is underappreciated.
🤔 I support THIS decision... A LOT!
Those All-Pro races from Martinsville Spring 1994-1996 would be a lot of fun too.
Wow, they really cut back on how much grass was there lol. Now thy have none :(
I agree with you.
So much character gone. Now it looks like a parking lot
Does anybody remember Don LaJoie racing at the Danbury State Fairgrounds in Connecticut?
3:01 race start
I can not wait to see him
These cars are pretty slick
There's no fans in the grandstands
Great race from the 80s
This appeared in my recommendations after calling out of NASCAR
So uhh.. That Stefanik guy eh?
Which engines do they run
Awesome
Don't worry about what others think. People are always negative,
don't let it bother you. Stay strong. Move on .

Yess finally
Wow what a peculiar model for a nascar car
Well this is a first! 👀

No starting lineup? Weak...
Same, like to know who's in the field. Islip, Riverhead, Northeast racers. Long Island contingent
