REX Smog Mode & Strange Noise Fix

This video is about cativation of REX (range extender) emissions testing mode, and the diagnosis of a strange sound coming from the engine compartment during the use of the REX.
Instructions for activation : (Make sure car is in a safe location and well ventilated area, )
1. Open rear hatch
2. Turn on car (Press START/STOP) and have gear selector set to P.
3. Press accelerator to floor for up to 60 seconds.
4. Press brake pedal to floor & release three times within 20 seconds (display will show emissions mode activated) then...
5. Hold brake pedal down and then release accelerator pedal and press the START/STOP button
Engine should start.

TLDR: Strange noise was not the AC compressor failing, but a leaf caught in the engine bay cooling fan making a rubbing noise.

did you run it for the full cycle and notice how much range you got? nevermind, looks like you got 3 miles
