- Is the QUEST 3 worth the Upgrade over the QUEST 2 for iRacing? In this video I will discuss the Quest 3 vs the Quest 2 for sim racing titles like iRacing or whichever racing sim you might be playing. If you already own the Quest 2, is the Quest 3 worth upgrading to? I will tell you what I think are the main differences between the two and what makes one of them my 100% recommendation without a doubt.
Sim Equipment I Currently Use:
Thrustmaster T-GT II with Open Wheel Rim
Thrustmaster T-LCM Load Cell Pedals
VR Headsets: Quest 3 / PSVR2
Consoles: PS5
PC: RTX3080 / i7 10th Gen / 32GB RAM

Anybody who gives me the answer straight away = me watching the whole video. Mad props. My only suggestion is make the box you are in smaller so we can see more racing while you talk.
Never mind you made it smaller after a couple min.
The exact video telling me the exact info and unbiased opinion i was looking for. Well done.
This is exactly the video I was looking for. Thank you. I’m going to upgrade from a CV1 to a Quest 3 this afternoon
Thanks for the straight up honest video. Last video i watched about Quest 3 for iRacing was 30 minutes of just technical blah blah and a college level course on settings, then never gave an opinion on whether or not they prefer it over the Q2. Like... just tell me if you enjoyed it or not, idc about which settings could be adjusted or what fancy name the lenses are called...
Glad you enjoyed it!
As a 3080 owner playing sims your review is exactly what I was looking for. Heck I'm still on a rift s.
I got a quest 3, and needed to upgrade to a 4090 to get good performance using VD set to good mode, I had a 3080
@@obscured021 thanks man
Thanks for this review !! It definitely helped me to make my decision to go from my q2 to a q3 and I'm very happy with it, quite better than the q2. Running on a i5 11th gen., rtx3060ti, 16gb ram (not a monster at all) It's great with iracing ! Constant 90fps, nice and clear. I just have to reduce shadows and some details in the iracing setttings, push the resolution to 1.5 (90hz), bitrate to 700 mbps in the debug tool and it's perfect.
For Acc and f123 , my config is too weak. Impossible to play (same with the q2).
Great summary Sir and enlightening as fuhhhc.
100% Quest 3 is worth the upgrade from Quest 2 for VR sim racing. For me, I picked up the Quest 3 since my son wanted to start charging me for borrowing his Quest 2 😂
Haha. Bet he wants your Quest 3!
Your sons a true business man. U should be proud 😂
No, his son’s an asshole
Sons fuming you got the better one lmao, I'm sure you hooked him up during Christmas anyway.
Funny. I just got my Q3 and tested it today with all the racing games. IT IS SHARP AND CLEAR AND ANOTHER WORLD compared to the Q2. Love it.
Yeah, what a great headset. Enjoy!
I totally agree Q3 is excellent for sim racing i have retired my hp reverb G2 in preference to the Q3. As you have said you can just move your eyes in the headset & every thing is clear.
Is the Q3 harder to run over the G2?
So clear all around!
Wireless or via cable?
@@jimbochoo3316 via cable
@@syko846for me it's been easier you also have the choice of 72 / 80 & 90 hrz on the G2 you only really have 90 hrz as 60 hrz is dreadful for light strobing
Thanks for the video. Finally putting my old CV1 warrior to rest, systemwise i have a very similar machine than yours (9900k, 3080 and 32gb of ram), but i was hoping that you were going to say the quest 2 was ok, it costs almost half the price lol. But after so many years of joy with the cv1 (wich was really expensive back then with my 1080), ill surealy go for the quest3 to experience a huge upgrade and have several years of fun ahead again.
If you want to save money, the Quest 2 is not bad. The Quest 3 is just better.
Finally a real review thank you for sharing your experience and opinion and not reading the marketing sheet/specs
🙏
Pancake lenses are enough alone to move from q2 to q3. I moved from Reverb G2 and i am so satisfied that i did. with 6e wireless router, opencomposite and openxr toolkit to 3508 reso under system is wonderful.
nice review....also you can get link cables which have a power socket on them so you can also plug into an outlet while linked to pc, so keeps it charged
I had quest 2 as well. Quest 3 is definitely worth upgrade. FOV is better, clarity, smoothness. Some people liked quest 2 I hated it. I run 4090 gpu with 5800x3d. All around better haadset I wouldn't even use the quest 2 I used my monitor instead. Hated it
I didn't think the Quest 2 was bad if you pumped everything up and at $300 when it released, there was really nothing else near it you could get in that price range.
So if you could have another chance to purchase or replace a new VR headset, what are the 3 most important factors you would like to consider?
Same I tired a quest 2 and it wasn’t much better than my Rift S. My rift S cable broke recently, so decided to buy a quest 3 to replace it (I was already thinking about upgrading) and it’s a huge step up!
@@maxcalder1010Please man, I'm on the EXACTLY same problem. I fear that this wireless connection, even on Virtual Desktop AV1 thing, could make me lose to much performance, or even the visuals improvements from the Q3 to Rift S aren't enough to justify the price. Can you breakdown the details, the goods and bads in comparison with rift s?
Agree with this 100%, Quest 3 blows away the Quest 2 in every respect. It does discharge wen using the link cable, but REALLY slowly. Like you might lose 3% in 1.5 hours. If it's fully charged when you start, I don't see any way you'd drain it dry.
Also, be careful, this does NOT apply to the Quest 3S (I know this was made before the 3S came out, so just thought I'd mention it so nobody makes a mistake). The Quest 3S uses the same optics as the Quest 2, so while you might get a little improvement due to the faster processor allowing for higher bandwidth, it wouldn't be worth upgrading just for that. The Quest 3 is definitely worth the upgrade though.
I stopped using my quest 2 for sim racing and flying because it was too low rez for me. I have a PSVR2 for gaming and love it but my selection of games is limited.
I am strongly considering get this Quest 3 just for flight stimming and gaming.
I appreciate the honest opinion. And I will also be able to play a different variety in games with the Quest 3 on steam that I own.
Fortunately I got a 500 bonus this year at work so I basically get it free. Woohoo😊
Nice on the bonus. Clarity is definitely going to be better on the Quest 3, but your PC will need to be powerful enough to push it.
First of all thanks for the video, starting to push me towards upgrading from Q2 to Q3 too but I have 1 more question I can't seem to find any answers to in any videos.
In Quest 2 if you look into the distance, it gets pretty blurry/low res after like 50-100m, is it way more clear on Quest 3?
I have a 4090 and I always cranked my graphics up pretty high but still looked blurry.
Awesome video btw
PS: I mainly played F1 23 but I also played Assetto Corsa/C and Automobilista where its a little bit better but still slightly blurry and that bugs me so hard
Quest 3 is definitely not blurry. The lenses are the best out there and with a 4090 you should really be able to crank up the bitrate and resolution.
Thanks for your video. I now have the Quest 3 now and I agree with you. My Quest 3 is much better than my previous Oculus Rift S VR headset. Quality, Resolutions, and graphic visuals are so much better with the Quest 3. I have my Quest 3 connected via a link cable right now and connects to my PC via USB. The only thing I modified on my Quest 3 is my head strap which I now have the Destek QH3 head strap.
I also have an RTX-3080TI and an I7 processor for my PC.
I do not have/play IRacing, but I have many other SIM racing games such as Assetto Corsa, AMS2, Project Cars 2, RFactor 2, F1-23, and Assetto Corsa Competizione as my top games. I have many other racing games such as several GRID, NFS, and I also run VORPX type games.
So far all looks and works good with my Quest 3.
Take care.
Quest 3 is such a huge step up from the Rift S. Glad you are enjoying it!
YES; and even more YES because of AV1 encoding inside of virtual desktop. the level of clarity over wireless is jaw dropping... it's better than using the cable. no joke
My next video is on this but can't test AV1 as don't have a 4000 series card.
This is true, for me AV1 encoding via VD really improves wireless performance, easily on par or better than wireless.
Great content, straight to the point
Thanks
I went from DK2 to a Vive and now I think I'm ready to come back to the fold.
I have been running a HP G2 for a few years. My Quest 3 is now my daily driver. OpenXR toolkit makes it amazing.
I too have hp reverb g2. How much better is it. Is it worth buying quest 3.
@@rudydoyle it's pretty bloody good
Love the answer at the beginning 11/10 YES!
So, coming from Quest 2, the Q3 has horizontal FOV of 108 where Q2 has 104. Do you notice much of difference ? I'm happy with Q2 quality and not really fussy about the clarity. All I care about is that if the FOV difference is noticeable enough, thus I can get better feel of the speed.
The FOV is noticeable as mentioned in this video where I did not see my left side mirror at all on the Quest 2 where the Quest 3 I could see a small percent. Also, things are clearer on the sides in your prifereral vision on the Q3 making things more usable as well.
I'm running the Quest 3 on iRacing with Virtual Desktop Godlike 90fps 400mbps, and its awesome. Everything is crystal clear, and no compression artifacts
Have not tried running it wirelessly yet for sim racing.
I thought virtual desktop was still a 2d screen. Does it allow for an actual VR experience?
What gpu u running please ?
A chip controlled link allows charging and usage at the same time. It will maintain around a 70% charge all day.
I'm thinking about buying what do I need for it to stay charged while using it for sim racing?
Regarding to comfort. Buy silicon face mask from Meta and Kiwi or ZyberVR elite Strap. With Kiwi you can go with battery or just use power bank if you are going to use wifi 6e router. For default settings there is no go. It is ridiculous that Meta is shipping sand paper with underwear straps. It thought that design and R&D was already done by Meta on Q3, but apparently it is not the case here.
With better resolution and comfort do you find it easier to simrace for longer periods of time? Thanks!
Resolution has not been a problem for years. For comfort, there is always third party add one to help with that.
Hmm... I had to return the Quest 3 and I'm back to my Quest 2. I'm running a 4070 vid card and it doesn't run as smooth. Likely due to the higher res needing more PC power and the ability to do 120hz natively on Quest 2 vs. max 90hz on Quest 3. I agree that the clarity is a little better on Quest 3 but not worth $300 worth of improvement.
Hmmm, I found it runs pretty smooth and the FOV boost is nice as well.
I have been seeing unanimity about the huge improvements of the Quest 3 with respect to the Quest2. I see a lack of will power for you to tweak the settings until you could get the best out of your Q3 😅
I`m using the Q3 with an older spec PC.
RTX 2070 and Ryzen 7 5700x and I'm coming from an Rift S. It feels like a big update especially the FOV and clarity is insane. It also seems to use less performance from my gpu and cpu than my rifts supersampling set-up.
Running the headset currently with 1.0 at 3456*1840@80hz + 550mbits in the debug tool.
I am still about overcome the discharging issues when it's a wired PCVR session - my current cable doesnt charge the headset at all which is not ideal (got a cheap one from Amazon) I'll try a splitter cable next. With that I doubt that I'll ever bring the q3 down in a single session, it is just important that the headset charges when in Standby.
Of course I have not maxed out all graphic settings in Iracing and i have used the official guide to optimize the graphics accordingly to my PC specs.
However I have the feeling that I still have some headspace in terms of performance, what settings would you turn up to get an better experience?
Quest 3 is definitely a huge step up from the Rift S. It's hard for me to say what settings to pump up. I usually focus on things that matter to me in race and lower things that don't mean much.
I have rx 7900 xtx combined with the ryzen 7 7800x3d and would like to give VR a chance, i tried it on the Sim Expo couple weeks ago , I am wonderig if it would perform good on my gpu , people always tell VR runs better on Nvidia GPUs 🤷
I only have experience with Intel processors and Nvidia GPUs, so don’t want to give you wrong info.
the problem with amd gpus for vr is encoders, nvidia’s are faster + av1 support
The link support for the Nvidia is the deal something to do with older H264 encoder that the Quest uses. I switched from AMD long ago because got tired messing about with drivers and never could get good results.
Is it worth coming from the G2 VR? What all extra do you have to buy for iracing?
I haven't tried the G2. As for iRacing, when you sign up, they give you some free cars and tracks to get started. As you move up the ranks, you will need to purchase other cars and tracks if you want to race the higher licensed stuff.
i really wish you have a pico 4 for comparison to the quest 3, as it has very similar specs and whole lot cheaper.
Great vid. Helpful. #Mirruh
Thanks!
Thank you. Really appreciate that!
Id be interested in your feels for iRacing in vr compared to GT7 in vr. Already i can see flat textures and zero light bouncing around the cabin. Does that impact your sense of immersion after spending so much time in gt7?
I have no loss of immersion in iRacing. It always feels and looks good to me even if it's using an old graphical engine, and the clarity the Quest 3 brings with it only makes it better.
thanks for the bottom line up front
Its so worth it!
Would the remarks about clarity in your peripheral, perhaps this could be called immersion due to motion blur?
The lenses keep everything clear and gets rid of having a small sweet spot.
Hey how are you recording with such nice quality? I just got a quest 3 (massive thanks to this video btw) but when I use oculus mirror it doesn’t seem to let me record in any higher resolution than 720. Just wondering if you found a way around that if you’re using something different entirely
Hey. This video was not recorded through Oculus Mirror. I can't remember if I used Nvidia Geforce to record this one or OBS. I get less stuttering when using Nvidia to record Quest footage. OBS seems to be more of a resource hog.
Ok good to know thank you!
if you connect the quest 3 to a USB-C port on your computer the discharging problem is not really an issue. YES it will discharge...but maybe like 10% an hour. which is fine, I don't have time to game 10 hours in a row so I'll never get it fully depleted anyway. maybe people doing serious endurance races ....but that's a really niche market right there.
I wonder if USB-C will discharge slower than USB-A.
Wired Quest 3 only discharges if refresh rate is above 72Hz, right? That is the case on the Quest 2 as I remember.
@@ti55e28 I always play on 72 hz and it still discharges. but it drains extremely slowly. I think the main variable would be the brightness you put the headset to, but im just guessing.
Omg the quest 3 still dies while being plugged into a PC?! Fuck that I’m out. My races last 3 hours or more sometimes. Like WTF?! What a joke Meta. My oculus rift would stay powered for an eternity if it was plugged into a PC so why can’t they do that with the quest 2 and 3. I’ll NEVER understand that. What a joke. They are missing out on thousands and thousands of units sold because of this. So dumb.
Appreciate not stretching the video into a movie.
Have you ever used headphones with quest 3? I find audio from 3.5mm jack very flat. No depth whatsoever. Same goes for viewing TH-cam. I play Project Cars 2 on Ryzen 5 1500 and gtx 1080. Frankly I'm surprised that it even works with decent settings. Experimenting with super sampling to get the most of it. What value would you suggest?
I have not used headphones with it. I'm surprised any supersampling would work with a 1080.
My wife is going to hate you, I'm using your video as one of the reasons for a upgrade.
😁
Ok what about if MQ2 is like £80 and MQ3 is £300 used and you have never used either before would you still hold out for the 3?
Depends on your financial situation. For me personally, the Quest 3 is a nice boost up from Q2, but that doesn't mean you won't enjoy the Q2.
@@thecasualracinggamer personally im hoping valve make a pcvr with DisplayPort and Pancake lenses next so im thinking of cheapest possible starter just to try it, but I dont wana ruin my view on it with rubbish tech 🤨 only came about sim racing. Also I only have a ryzen 5 and 3060ti
@@TomenskiI'm exactly in the same place as you.. I want VR for sim racing.. I've got a AMD Ryzen 5 5500 and a RTX4070. Not sure if I should go for a cheap 2nd hand Quest2 for £80 or get a new Quest3 or a Pico4 but no sure if my PC config will be beefy enough to push Quest3 to an acceptable level of performance/quality..
have you found that the quest 3 is more taxing on the PC than the quest 2? I just purchased a quest 2 but am thinking of returning it for the quest 3, that being said, I want to make sure I will still be able to get good frame rates.
I don't believe it will be any worse. What is you PC specs? Also, you can just order the Quest 3 from somewhere that accepts returns so you can test it out.
Bro your videos are great!!!!! However I can’t get behind a VR where the battery still dies while plugged in to a PC. For the love of god can someone tell me why they do this?! I’ve owned both Rifts. I want to own the Quest 3 soooooo bad but that’s a huge problem for us who do this competitively. I know dudes still running the Rift because of this. We so desperately want a VR with a good picture and will stay charged. Seriously why would they do this? It’s so simple to fix too. I’m literally baffled by it. If you are going to have it plugged in anyway at least make it so the battery doesn’t die. Yeah it’s great for standalone and people who play for a short periods but for the rest of us we are screwed. I have no doubt the picture quality is great but damn the battery.
Some people have claimed there are cables that will keep it charged but not sure which ones and I count vouch for it.
"side mirruh"
If you watch any footage of a real racing driver, you will see they turn their heads to look in the mirror, they don’t just move their eyes. So in reality it’s not an issue, it’s more natural to turn your head rather than your eyes. The Reverb G2 is still the best headset for sim racing in my opinion.
I'm not sure how a larger FOV and better lenses is not a good thing and something you would want in any headset. If you like your G2, which I am sure is still a great headset, will PSVR2 be the better PC headset than it then? Still has a small sweet spot due to the lenses, but a wider FOV and OLED screen.
thanks. I am new to sim racing. so basic question: do I have to access iRacing via Steam in order to use it in VR?
No, if you sign up directly with iRacing they have their own stand alone app. That is how I access it. Not through Steam.
@@thecasualracinggamer ok great thank you
I'm wondering between the PSVR2 and Quest 3 regarding image quality for SIM racing....
Quest 3 image is sharper with clearer compared to PSVR2 and GT7 if you have the system to raise the bitrate up and resolution. On a lower end PC, the Quest 3 will not look great and suffer from a lot of compression at lower bit rates.
I’m still trying to decide if I want to upgrade from g29 to Fanatec dd pro or step into the psvr2 world for gt7. Ugh!
Its great for racing. Bought a link cable with charger on it. So the battery problem is solved.
Nice
@@thecasualracinggamer can i ask you a question? Do you got aliasing in the game? I got shimmering lines and walls in the distance. It ls making me nuts.
@Snakkers Do you have your resolution turned all the way up in the Oculus app and not set to use default? If the resolution is not turned up you will get shimmering.
@@thecasualracinggamer i got it on 1.5 maxout.
@Snakkers What about your settings in iRacing? Do you have that stuff turned up too? Is the issue on all tracks or certain ones.
i'm using rift s at the moment and that's the only headset I have ever tried. Would you say it would be a worthy upgrade if I bought the quest 3? Running a ryzen 58003dx cpu and rtx 3080 graphics card. anyone upgraded from rift S to quest 3?
I have a Rift S. The Quest 3 is on a whole other level. The difference is huge.
Yes! My rift S cable broke a few weeks ago and decided to replace it with a quest 3. Huge improvement! The quest 1&2 never seemed like much of an improvement to the S so I never bothered with them.
Don’t do it bro! The Rift stays charged while it’s plugged in. The quest 2 and 3 still die even if plugged into a PC after an hour and a half. I do iracing. I have races that are hours and hours long. Can’t have your battery dying on VR during a race. What a joke. Why can’t they make it like the rift where it stays powered on no matter what if plugged in? So dumb.
@@adamthompson8432 thanks mate but it's too late. 🙂 I bought the Pico 4 and I love it. I also bought the cable that needs to be wall plugged as well and with that the battery hardly discharging. So that's not in issue when SIM racing luckily. These high Res panels give lovely crisp image compared to rift s. Thanks for the reply though. 👍😉
@@TAM4Soh really? I will have to check that brand out. Do you do iracing?
if i don't have a vr headset is it worth saving up extra for the q3 or just go for the q2? the q3 is 479 where i am and the q2 is 250
Q3 without a doubt.
Yes worth it
I dont get it does quest not cause extra latency over displayport headsets? would think this would matter a lot in racing games.
It usually does, but not enough where you would even notice. If it feels good, looks good, I'm good. I have a Rift S that uses a display port, and it's not like anything is different with my racing when I use that.
latency only matters in some flat first person shooters.. anything you have to move your whole arms to achieve anything 40ms will be plenty.
I try hard to perceive the delay but I just can't... so that must mean something....
I had my quest 2 combined with the old gtx1070ti and was not using it at all. I thought it was because the GPU wasn`t powerful enough, but this week I upgraded to a 4080super, maxed out the quest2 resolution at 120Hz and still don`t like the experience (imagem quality) enough to switch from my monitor to VR on a daily basis. Do you think upgrading to quest 3 is game changing enough to solve this? Some people say the image is much clearer, but it`s hard to imagine.
Did you up the bitrate? The Quest 2 or 3 will not equal the quality of a monitor, but from me it's all about the immersion. You are not going to get the best clarity out of the headset unless you boost the bitrate though.
I use the cable link, with the bit rate set to 400, if I remember correctly. I was playinh automobilista 2 on VR right now, the experience is good, but for me just as an experience, I am way faster on the monitor. Might give quest 3 a chance if I can sell the q2. @@thecasualracinggamer
You can up the bitrate to around 920 or 940 max. Can't remember which it is. Anything over 500, you need to type it somewhere else, then use copy and CTRL/V to paste it into the debug tool.
That is new to me. I will try it later today. Thanks!@@thecasualracinggamer
Sorry, I noticed I had a typo. Ctrl/V is the keyboard shortcut to paste.
$200 for the 2.. $600 for the 3...
3 is definitely not worth $400 more...
Not sure why you are inflating the price of the Quest 3 by $100. The 128GB version is $500.
@@thecasualracinggamer $650 for the 512gb
Well, then it's $300 for the 256GB Quest 2. You can't compare the lower version of the Quest 2 to the higher version of the Quest 3, but why would you even need 512GB version for sim racing. Its a waste if money to spend more on storage if your purpose is to use it for sim racing.
@@thecasualracinggamer regardless, it's not worth the price diffence.
For you, maybe, for others, it is. Respect your opinion. There is no right amswer.
Did it improve your fps compared to the q2?
I run at 72Hz so wasn't looking to improve my fps. Was looking to improve clarity, sharpness, fov and sweet spot which is does.
so this is a pc game running on a pc and viewed on a quest 3???? so can the quest 3 actually do decent racing games, even ps3 quality????
Correct, this is all being powered by the PC and and the Qiest 3 is acting like a PCVR headset in this case. For the standalone, there is only one full racing game called GRID LEGENDS. It's not the greatest looking game but it's a full conversion of the PC version for Quest headsets.
So what about Quest 3 over Quest 1… yea I think it’s Quest 3 time for me
I was not a fan of the Quest 1. I returned it and got a Rift S at the time. The Quest 3 blows the original Quest out of the water.
I have 3070 10th gen i9 32gb 3600mhz and considering the upgrade. I will build new pc in couple years either way and it will just get better.
I think the wider fov alone is enough for racing but the clarity being able to move eyes and not your whole head is the next level immersion for sure and thats what I want
Great review for sim racing with the q3
Thanks!
Can you tell I’m very bitter about the headset dying while still plugged into a PC? Hahahahahaha. I love the headset and would own two of them. One for me and one for my son but nope, I own zero because they still die while being plugged into a PC. Returned mine the same day I bought it.
Did you actually use it to the point where it died plugged in?
@@thecasualracinggamer yes 3 times. When it’s plugged in I even see the lighting bolt through the battery indicating it’s charging as well. Two other guys on my sim racing team have the same issue. It’s does last a little longer plugged in vs not but some of our races go 3 hours or longer so it just doesn’t work for us. It’s sad because I love it and the picture is great but I just don’t understand why it has to die at all when it’s plugged in? I mean the Rift doesn’t die which yes I know it was designed like that but it doesn’t seem like it would be hard to change.
are you from new jersey? I can hear the accent lol
I grew up in Bklyn, NY. 😀
Just make sure your PC/GPU is powerful enough & you will be fine.
Yup, lower end PCs just won't be able push the bitrate and will suffer lots of compression due to it.
His answer was yes
Maybe, Maybe Not.
RIP to his eyes lol
Huh?
The quest 2 discharging is false info as long as your mobo gives out enough juice and your using a decent cable or official link it will stay fully charged
It's not false info if it actually discharges when using any USB-A cable. It has nothing to do with the quality. It's a known fact it will slowly discharge.
@@thecasualracinggamer well it's not recommended to use a usb a cable that's like getting a petrol car but putting diesel in it it's not going to get you very far
@chotus69 You get the same exact speeds and quality using a C or A cable. Link limits the speeds, and USB-A 3.0 supports more than Link will output.
@@thecasualracinggamer I agree but your going off track I'm not talking about bandwidth were talking about holding a charge you said quest 2 can't hold one over link which is not true as it can when using the official link cable or a powered usb A there for your statement is not correct if you actually use the proper cable is all I was saying lol
@chotus69 The Quest 2 will charge when being used over link but uses more power than what it charges, so it will slowly lose battery. For the Quest 2, I never had it anywhere near dying even after hours of playing though. I haven't used the Quest 3 long enough on a single session to really see how bad it is compared to the Quest 2 in this sense.
dammit...now i have to upgrade
😁
Quest 2 to Quest 3 upgrade was very worth it for me.
I've noticed so many details on the sides of AC tracks that I could never see before. Quest 2 looked more like mud.
Yes, the clarity all around is great!
1:42 - Yes it’s worth upgrading,
Thank me Later
What are we thanking you later for?
So much rambling. Don’t do that.
Thanks for watching!
People don't waste your money on a quest 3 it is not worth it......... don't buy any quest for vr sim racing there are better vrs out there. Quest 3 is dog shit. I just wish I didn't watch this video and waste my money on one........
Feel free to leave your opinion of better VR headsets for sim racing at $500. Also, how about letting people know what you didn't like about it. It's all opinions here and everyone's opinion will be different. And where did you buy it that you can't return it because all major retailers take returns on it included Meta themselves.
i dunno im on quest2 with a 2070super and i710700 and i can see my far side mirror perfect and ive tried both standard head straps n they are both terrible get yourself n elite strap but assetto corsa so maybe a slight diff there , i got my son quest3 but ive quest2 quest is by far the better choice if you want best value and then after a year if youve bothered to actually use it enough then yeah get q3 or q4 but id say try the 100buck one first so you dont waste money if its not used but yeah my son loves his i love mine but il upgrade soon nuff im second my kid gets first haha
Yeah, different games are going to have different views within a car, so ACC will appear different with what you can see compared to iRacing. I guess it depends on how the game scales things.
Nice to know, but does it get too hot with those bad fans, many people complain about it being too hot
I have not had a problem with heat in the Q3. Not sure how long those people are using their headset in one sitting.
