    It was a busy three days but we made it to three places in Italy! Which of these Italian cites would you visit or re-visit? Florence/Pisa, Rome, or Naples/Capri? 🇮🇹

    Can you please make a vid showing you getting on and off the ship/tender boats? I am nervous they will take up most of our time. Thank you :)

      Hey Zhane! Unfortunately I don’t have a lot of footage showing me getting in or off the boat 😬 there is a security screening that takes place so I can’t film parts of it, but thankfully all the ports we stopped at didn’t require a tender boat 🚤

    Great video - we are taking the very same cruise in early June. QUESTION - when you return to the ship in ports of call are you allowed to bring on SEALED NON-ALCOHLOIC beverages such as bottled water, juice or soda? Thank you!

    • @FrolicAndCourage
      @FrolicAndCourage  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You’re taking the same cruise in early June? How exciting, Rick!
      You bring up a very good question 🤔 The Guest Health, Safety, Conduct policy states you can bring sealed non-alcoholic beverages (not to exceed twelve, 17oz cans/bottles) as carry-on items on embarkation day, but is vague on whether or not you can bring sealed non alcoholic beverages specifically from ports of call. In the Alcohol section, it says “Security personnel may inspect containers (including water bottles, soda bottles…) at any time…” In some cruisers’ experience, they stated they were allowed to bring those items onboard from a port while others said they had to toss them. I’d call Royal’s guest services line for the final answer or, just in case, drink the non-alcoholic beverages before you get onboard from a port to not worry about it 😊

    Thank you for this playlist. My wife and I just booked our 1st cruise for our 1st anniversary and are doing this same port itinerary. We are now debating which excursions to do and if we should disregard the cost of the big ones because YOLO or try and explore on our own.

      Thanks for watching Steven and happy early anniversary! Congratulations on your first year 🎉 My husband and I debated the exact same thing - to explore on our own, go with the cruise line excursion, or book through a reputable company (since we travel often and are comfy with doing so). @FrolicAndCourage  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Jeffery, thanks for watching! We went on the "Best of Florence & Pisa" excursion because it gave us the most value for what we were looking for...although I must admit we had a hard time trying to narrow down what we wanted to see because Italy has so much to offer! What excursions are you considering?

      @jefferyanderson4793 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FrolicAndCourage that is the one we are leaning towards also. I think it will cover the most in the amount of time giving. What about the port in Naples? She really wants to see the Amalfi cost. What did y’all do?

    • @FrolicAndCourage
      @FrolicAndCourage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That was our rationale - I’ve been to Florence before but my hun has not, so he really enjoyed seeing all the sights for himself 😊 In Naples we did the “Amalfi Coast & Pompeii by Land and Sea” excursion.

  • @jefferyanderson4793
    @jefferyanderson4793 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What time did y’all get off the ship while visiting Rome? What time did you have to be back on board as well, I believe our cruise in October says we are there 7am to 8pm and we are trying to pre plan what we can accomplish.
    Thanks jeff

    • @FrolicAndCourage
      @FrolicAndCourage  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Jeff - good move pre-planning before you get onboard 👏🏽 The schedule in Rome was from 7am-8pm.
      Breaking it down, the boat technically arrived around 6am (they have to dock and get prepared), were able to get off the ship around 7am. Don’t quote me on this, but I believe we had to return around 7:15pm. The cruise staff will communicate the time on the television (cruise news channel), through the security staff, and through the daily planner (received the night before). General rule is to plan to return at least 30min before (some prefer 1-2hrs before to be extra safe). If you’re taking an excursion through the cruise line that includes transportation, there will be a set time and place to return to the bus that will take you back (and they will wait if it’s late.) If you are traveling on your own…keep good track of the time!

      @@FrolicAndCourage Do you have to book an excursion with the ship to get priority disembarkation? What if you go on your own without booking an excursion with the cruise ship? What time realistically do you think we can get out of the ship in Rome?

    • @FrolicAndCourage
      @FrolicAndCourage  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey TofuGurl! It all depends on what time the ship reaches the port. They will announce the disembarkation time on your cruise planner (if you’re cruising with Royal) and on the cruise channel. Realistically, ours was around 8 or 9am but nobody can leave until the ship is properly docked and cleared by the port authorities.

      Hey Radeef! We went on the “Amalfi Coast & Pompeii by Land and Sea” excursion booked through Royal Caribbean cruise planner. I wouldn’t recommend it for people who want to explore shops because we didn’t quite have enough time for shopping, but we did have a lot of time at Pompeii (totally worth spending the time at Pompeii!)
