      Super jealous of your itinerary with 9 days to explore the Greek isles. Glad yall had an amazing time. The day before and after in Rome is clutch, that city is incredible. Nicole and I want to go back so bad and will eventually in the future. What did yall do in Santorini and Mykonos?

    thank you so much. my wife and i have only done the caribbean itineraries from port canaveral and lauderdale being from florida. its intimidating planning for these bigger itineraries but you have steered me in the right direction and i feel much more confident. thank you! keep up the great work!

      Thank you so much for the compliment! We felt the same way when we were booking our first big trip, it’s one of the reasons we wanted to make these videos. Which itinerary are you leaning towards?

    Great info! I’m looking to pick one for next summer. I think y’all have swayed me towards the Greek isles!

      Thank you so much for watching and the compliment. We absolutely loved the Greek isles and would go back in a heartbeat. Let us know what itinerary you choose!

    Royal also has Eastern Med cruises out of Venice :)

      Yes they do. You usually get a couple ports that are similar to both of the cruises we talked about in this video and is a good compromise of both options. Thanks for watching!

    Hello
    Am planning this sunmer cruise , but need suggestion
    Which one is good to go split and montengro and greece?

    • @letsgetwanderlost
      @letsgetwanderlost  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Royal Caribbean has 2 ships that go to Montenegro. Explorer of the Seas and Brilliance of the Seas.
      The only itinerary that goes to Montenegro and Split is in May on Brilliance of the Seas. That itinerary looks really good but it does not go to the Greek isles. So if you want to do all 3 of those locations you’ll need to look at some different cruise lines like Celebrity. They have a cruise on Celebrity Ascent that goes to all 3. Norwegian cruise line has a couple itineraries that go to all 3 and the ones on Norwegian pearl look incredible.

    Great video. We did the Western Meditteranean with Norwegian Prima last year in November 23 (no sea days). We are planning September 2024 RC Odessey of the seas but are concerned about 3 sea days as prone to motion sickness. Grateful for your comments regarding whether there were rough seas in your Greek Island cruise with Odessey and which month did you sail. Thanks.

    • @letsgetwanderlost
      @letsgetwanderlost  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We sailed the first week of June this past year. I’m prone to motion sickness as well but we didn’t have any issues with rough seas during that cruise. Pretty smooth sailing from what I remember.
      How was Prima? We’ve been looking at a cruise with Norwegian and Prima, Viva, and Aqua are at the top of our list to check out with that brand.
      Thank you so much for watching.

    Hi, thank you so much for the video. The Greek isles cruise £600 cheaper than the allure - west med cruise. We have never cruised before but have read the pool area and open spaces are on odyssey compared to allure. Going school summer holidays. Do you notice that ? Thank you

    • @letsgetwanderlost
      @letsgetwanderlost  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      On our Greek Isles cruise there was more time to go to the pool and enjoy what the ship had to offer because you had that extra Sea Day. The ship didn’t feel as busy during sea days for us either.
      Obviously, Allure will have more pools and more things to do, we just weren’t able to take advantage of everything on our Western Med cruise because we were in port all day and then we finally had a sea day everyone else was trying to catch up on the water slides and pools and other activities so it was busy.
      We have a trip breakdown for our Odyssey cruise on the channel plus a full ship tour, same with our Mediterranean cruise on a symphony. If you want to check them out. (Excuse the audio issues on the Mediterranean trip recap we replaced those microphones after that)

    We are planning a cruise trip starting from athens and ending at Istanbul in June 25 for 7 - 9 days. What could be the options considering budget and overall ambience & hospitality ? TIA

    • @letsgetwanderlost
      @letsgetwanderlost  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Between those 2 ports I believe Royal only has 2 ships that do that route between Athens and Istanbul. Brilliance of the Seas and Voyager of the Seas. Nicole and I aren’t the biggest fan of Voyager but we haven’t tried Brilliance yet and normally those smaller ships are awesome for itineraries are amazing. I’d probably lean towards Brilliance for that trip when thinking about service, budget, and ambience. It’ll probably have more of a retro cruising feel.

      @@letsgetwanderlost Many thanks for sharing your thoughts. As this is the first time for me, are day excursions from port booked inclusive of the cruise cost or one needs to book separately ?

    • @letsgetwanderlost
      @letsgetwanderlost  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      With royal Caribbean you have to book them separately. There is a cruise planner website after you book, you can call Royal directly, or you can work with a travel agent to get them booked. They are not included with the cruise fare.

    Have been to both cruises several times..however you should have mentioned that those with mobility issues the Greek Isles will be very challenging.. especially Santorini and Mykonos..myself now finding i have mobility issues walk slowly with cane but do take my electric wheelchair with me i find the Western Med better.. Great Video though.. As a travel agent we have at least one group cruise every year in September or October..

    • @letsgetwanderlost
      @letsgetwanderlost  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for bringing this to our attention, as we don’t have mobility issues ourselves it’s not something we would have thought about without someone bringing it to our attention. Thank you for watching! We appreciate the feedback.

    Great video. We have done western mediterranian on Wonder of the seas. Great cruise.
    This year we are going on Celebrity Silhouette eastern mediterranian from Athens to Mykonos Santorini Kusadasi, Crete, Rhodes and an overnight in Istanbul and 3 sea days. Very excited. As you guys have been on the Reflection- do you think We will enjoy Silhouette which are sister ship?

    • @letsgetwanderlost
      @letsgetwanderlost  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We were very surprised how much we enjoyed Reflection and as long as the activities and the upkeep are similar you should enjoy Silhouette.
      It will be more subdued than a cruise aboard a ship like Wonder but I think Silhouette will be a perfect ship for that itinerary.
      Looking at those ports and still having 3 seas days, we’re jealous and I’m probably going to check some websites to see if we can book a similar itinerary in the next couple years.

    Good video. I am going on a western 10 cruise barcelona to treste italy in 19 days. We have only done carnival and this time NCL. WE AGREE LOTS OF ports only 1 sea day. One of reason we did not choose Rc
    We found balance in all day and short. Also I will let you know if Ncl was a good choice.

      Thank you for watching. Really hope you enjoy the Greek isles as much as we did. Are you doing the same itinerary that we did with Santorini, Mykonos, and Kusadasi?

      @@letsgetwanderlost yes. Any tips on debarkation? We will be going with our two kids. We purchased The key in hopes it’s better. Not a lot of videos on the subject of getting off and on the ship.

    • @letsgetwanderlost
      @letsgetwanderlost  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @carolinaaquino8933 getting off the ship is obviously our least favorite part. But a couple days into the cruise you’ll get an alert on the app asking what type of debarkation you’d like, self or assisted.
      With assisted you’ll put numbered tags on your luggage and Royal Caribbean takes all of them the night before you get off of the ship. Then the morning of debarkation you’ll just wait around until they call the number that was on your tag.
      With the Key you’ll be able to get a special breakfast and you can choose when you get off of the ship.
      What Nicole and I do, is we leave our stuff in the room and go get breakfast, we then later collect our stuff and go check out some suites or rooms we were interested in. As long as you stay out of the way of people trying to clean all the rooms they’re usually very inviting. After that we get a coffee and something to drink and hangout on the promenade until our number is called.
      Royal does a pretty good job of making it seamless.
      We normally have our transportation arranged before we get off of the ship, this includes what shuttle or car service we’ll be using and a solid plan of where we need to go.
