    How can a person branded 'crazy' by mainstream media gave a speech that makes so much sense?

    • @DaUsher
      @DaUsher 8 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      Easy.
      That media is simply the mouthpiece of the government.
      A government that sees a legitimate threat to their power in Dr. Chee.
      And so they do all they can to shame him. To put him away.
      The PAP is scared of him.

    It's very hard to discredit him when all he speaks makes sense,honestly i don't really care about politics.Just listening to mainstream medias is enough or so i thought.This man here helps me to really see the bigger picture and how it's going to affect Singaporeans in the long run.He's not crazy as how the media paints him to be,he's a visionaire who stood the test of time and still soldier on for his cause..I believe he can and will make a difference,give this man a chance!

      +MultiOasisfan Correct. He was labelled as crazy by those siding the ruling party. This one sided name calling and snide remarks can damage a person's reputation and his family.

    I'm not as educated as Dr Chee, but certainly I can comprehend his messages clearly. I also know that he cared for us -- Singaporeans and Singapore future. So I encouraged Singaporeans to give SDP (Dr.Chee) a chance to get into Parliament, just once for SDP to prove us.
    Do give SDP a sounding victory in this coming General Election.

    PAP 是个强势政府机构,20年前的Pap 是从下层阶级来的,他们了解人民的感受,知道人民的疾苦,能够代表大众人民。现在的Pap 领导班子,生在官僚家族,长在富贵人家。已经与众不同了!他们不了解我们下层人民的苦衷,不了解人民的感觉, 不知道理解我们的想法与思绪。他们已经不能够有效的代表我们了。

  • @giamcai9381
    @giamcai9381 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    basically for any opposition party to get into parliament the first step is a very long difficult process. if you want opposition representation in parliament you need to vote them in your area even if you feel the party there cannot make it because of great importance is the polling results you need to make an effort to "soften the ground" for opposition to feel they have a chance to win and that can only come from the polling result of the last election, so what you do this election affect the next election, an area showing low opposition vote could mean next election no credible party will turn up because there is low chance of a win.
    why vote opposition? My wish is not to ruin the country but out of 88 seats in parliament 33 will be in opposition hands. This means that PAP will still run the country but it does not have 2/3 majority whenever they want to pass laws or policy that will affect us like the population white paper, cpf extension, internet censorship laws.
    it means PAP when comes to passing new laws or policy they will be forced to more closely examine it within themselves and later also to make deals, negotiate, compromise with opposition groups in parliament who are representing our interests and that is what I want.
    So think carefully your vote I'm being neutral here you want PAP to win then vote them, if you want our interests to be better represented with more check and balance then vote the opposition in your area.

    一直以来,国家强大,人民不一定富庶。国家富饶,人民不一定快乐。统治阶级强憨,势在必行,人民就只能默默无闻,被动接受。pap一直来都很强悍,过去20 年的统治者,真是有人民的心。因为他们来自人民,他们的童年青少年是从下层阶级上去的,他们了解人民的需要,人民的不满。今天的统治阶级,已经完成了从下层上升到上层社会,生在富贵,长在官僚家庭。他们离开人民越来越远。不了解人民的苦闷,不理解下层人民的怨言。不会从小市民的观点了解问题,找到解决方法是我们能够接受的。他们的态度也越来越自以为事。和人民在物质上精精记缴,与人民服务的精神已经很难找到了。

    The PAP need not be too proud of the landslide victory. It didn't contest on a level playing field. What is the value of the victory when they intentionally tilt the contest hugely to their favour.
    1. Gerrymandering - We know how the carving of boundaries can allow one party to have an advantage over the other. THere is no justification nor transparency on how its done.
    2. Election Department - Reports to the Prime Minister. He calls the shot. In fact, he kept the appointment of EBRC from public until it was asked in parliament. Appointment of EBRC signals strongly that election will take place soon. By trying to hide it, he surreptitiously tried to slant the favours towards his party.
    3. GRCs - Allowing weaker candidates to be elected into parliament while heavyweights from the alternatives were kept out.
    4. Only 9 days of campaigning - Too short for alternatives to explain in detail and touch base with the ground. Some may argue that the alternatives have 4 years to connect with voters, but one must remember that the boundaries are changed every election and thus making it impossible to know the boundaries.
    5. Political Broadcast. Air-time is allocated by the number of candidates rather than a standard time for all parties contesting. As PAP has the most number of candidates, this automatically give them as long as 13 mins for the political broadcast while the alternatives get 5 mins max, 2.5 mins minimum.
    6. Control of Mainstream Media - Biased reporting to shape and sway the voters opinion. The mainstream media seldom report news that are unfavourable to the PAP but is always quick to paint the alternatives in a bad light.
    7. New rules every election that doesn't make sense but serves only to cripple the alternatives - Disallowing candidates from different parties to speak at each other's rally.
    Until there is free and fair elections, there is no honour in winning. It's like a teacher setting exam papers but leaking it to his/her children for them to benefit. There's no glory.

    There are many educated people who are aware of the TEMASEK and GIC troubled investments in the USA . But why are you bringing up old stories? Even other countries who invested in the US were caught too . I don't think you should point to their errors and risks taken . I can tell you that if Opposition were ruling there will be more troubles created . the opposition do not have proven International investors or entrepreneurs to invest the monies of SINGAPORE to grow the wealth - it will be more risky .
