I'd love to see a video with the pie shaped stares in a narrow passage. Would be amazing to use in those cases. Also, is there a position for this that mimicks a typical mortuary stretcher in its horizontal position (not on the ground, but raised to the level of say, a hospice hospital bed)? If not how do we handle that type of removal?

It does navigate pie shaped stairs also. It does not raise horizontally like a stretcher in the "up" position. If you need something that does that, Stryker makes them. They are very heavy and very expensive. I am a licensed funeral director and I need help getting bodies out of houses by myself. I cannot do it with a stretcher. The Stepper allows me do navigate cluttered spaces, go down long narrow hallways and then pivot into the bedroom. I need an extraction tool. I also need to keep my back in working order. I already have 1/2 dozen stretchers. I needed a tool that would do all the lifting and lowering for me and one that was light (only 50 pounds) and easy to maneuver.

@@MortuaryLiftCompanyTM Thank you for the response. When transfering from the bed to the Stepper, do you lie it flat next to the bed? How does the transfer into the removal vehicle work?

@@tc1741 yes. You would lay it down next to the bed and let gravity be your friend. It’s not perfect but it easier to do that than lift the body plus the weight of a stretcher up and down stairs. It’s also easier to lower a body onto The Stepper than it is to navigate a stretcher through a doorway at the end of a hall. The benefits far out way the negatives. Ultimately, we want to save your back.
