Liberty City is honestly such an accurate portrayal of my home. New York State doesn’t always look that pretty. But when it does, I always play this theme because it really represents my home perfectly. The dark New York atmosphere and the nice calm and cold feeling of the state!
Played this in December 2001 when i was 9 lol. Having previously played the PS1-era GTA's with dad. I'll be 32 in December, and still playing all the old relics. My own children when they arrive will be shown these pieces of history when the time is right.
If 9/11 never happened, we would see similiar buildings to WTC in GTA 3 and GTA 4. Still it is strange to me that 9/11 also effected to GTA get changed. If it was never happened, we could also have way different typs of GTA now.
honestly they could have included WTC in GTA 4 since in Driver Parallel Lines, game made in 2006. It has WTC in the 1978 era of the game while it's gone in the 2006 era.
This game shocked the world when it came out. It was the first of its kind, the beginning of the open world/crime genre, no one had seen anything like it before bc it felt like real life😂😂 The controversy of kids consuming it, 9/11 controversy, angry parents, and some nice parents queueing up to buy it😂 Without this game thered be no any other GTAs, no red dead, no bully, no saints row, no watch dogs, no sleeping dogs, no NFS, no simpsons hit n run, no open world games at all
The city's a sleeping giant. The skyline of Staunton's blurred by my cigarette, a bitter taste; like Liberty itself. You live somewhere so long you become a part of it, a part of the concrete. That's me. A private eye scouring the underbelly, turning up slabs, watching insects skitter in the light. Liberty City, the worst city in America. No place I'd rather be.
Man oh man I miss this smooth jazz theme. I can feel new york without even going there
Thanks

Yes sir… a lot of nostalgic moments right there 😢
Nah I am built different
Facts, I was 5 when this came out. I’m so thankful to have grew up in the era I did and wouldn’t want it to be any other way.

I’ve mostly always seen the beautiful side of New York and this slowed down is… perfection.

I moved out of state and this and LCS’s theme is making me nostalgic and miss home
This is…. Perfection.
Gta 3 had great music that complemented liberty city well and we ended up with the original atmosphere
Still my favorite GTA of all time. The feeling of getting to Staunton Island for the very first time was only topped by crossing Mexico in RDR 1.
Always 2001 nostalgia this game brings me just memories one of most iconic games ever made
I was little when this game come out 2001
This theme fits liberty citys dark and criminal atmosphere
