Many parts of the video show bubbles of water around the members, as if they were turning into this. The song itself, I interpreted as an impossible love story. Even though they love each other, they can never be together. so i hope you guys dont mind me talking a lot about the theories about the MV... I'm sorry I'm just so excited about this so there's one theory that this is the story of the little mermaid (that's my favorite theory) but it's pretty simple so I'll leave it at that and then the most popular theory right now is that the song is about manipulation and temptation, even though it sounds soft - that's the point. The album is called Siren:Dawn. The song sounds beautiful and almost gentle in some parts but the lyrics are about tempting someone to listen to their words, give in, "only exhale" (stop breathing) and relax into the water. There are a lot of eerily pretty cinematic symbols for death, corruption and evil, like the veils, the glass breaking, butterflies flying from Donghun's water thing and into Sehyoon's hand which in Goblin represented souls that Donghun guided to the underworld; the eclipse, etc. Which is so chilling, at least to me, because this is one of their softest title tracks if not the softest. It seems like in the MV they're tempting each other - some of them are tempting and some are being tempted; some have lyrics explicitly about temptation while some have lyrics from what sounds like a more grounded, human perspective. There are a LOT of connections between this and the Goblin MV, some very obvious like the veil and the butterflies but some less like the thorns, their use of lighting, etc. And because I love the little mermaid parallels so much Ive also been thinking about this one scene where Chan swallows the moon in a little ball of light - Chan seems to be at the center of all this, a lot of people are speculating that he's the one corrupting the others, and in TLM Disney movie there's that scene that's so similar to that one shot of Chan where Ariel is giving her voice away and a little ball of light comes out of her mouth; Chan swallowing that little moon could symbolize him taking someone else's voice like the sea witch (siren). Some people are also talking about Sehyoon and Narcissus; I'm not too sure how that one plays into it, maybe because he's sort of hypnotized by the reflection, but a lot of scenes seem like they're separating Sehyoon from the rest of them as if he's the one being tempted, and he's looking at the mirror kind of entranced until he touches it and it breaks (glass breaking in movies usually symbolizes death). On your observation of the "sinking" lyric and "Higher": I know the intended concept is sirens. But the moon features heavily in the M/V too. I think those lyrics refer to the ebb & flow of the tide. And CHOICE is represented by the moon. The "low tide" is technically when the mood is orbiting over the ocean and the water is drawn to the centre of the ocean & "rises" at the centre. A.C.E feels drawn to reach out to their fans, but there's a certain pandemic in the way atm lol. The constant Siren/Ocean & Moon imagery also makes me think of that iconic Book 1 ATLA finale too, with the ocean spirit and moon spirit that maintain the balance of the world. The idea of a mutual adoration & balance between A.C.E as artists/performers and CHOICE as fans that support their art is a cool theme to consider too. I adore this comeback tho! They ALWAYS nail it! I originally said jokingly to my family that Donghun was wearing a porcupine shirt, but I believe that it actually is a reference to their "Cactus" song. There are references to being thirsty and things becoming drier in this song. After the "don't be sorry" line, and the scene with the hands, you can see a quick glimpse of Donghun's face and a small part of his prickly shirt, and then there is a scene with the two guys facing each other, with a cactus in the background. I re-watched "Cactus," and there is a glowing lantern with a cactus in it, just like there is that glowing thing that Donghun is holding at the beginning. They refer to the cactus as having "thorns" in the original song, and the shirt really does look like thorns. I don't think this about mermaids because the album is entitled "Siren.". It seems more like someone trying to reclaim a lost love and taking risks of fighting the waves, but still trying even though they know it might be in vain. I feel like the song is sad, but also hopeful. The person is going all out to try to reach the one they love and be there for them, and even if they can't reach them, promising to be there for them--"when the familiar wind blows you'll know it's me." I think that this could be part of a story line because they had that first song, "Take Me Higher" which was about a happy time of love as opposed to the underlying sense of desperation to re-connect with love in this song. So I think that it isn't coincidental that this song is called "Higher." The album is entitled "Siren" so I'm assuming that maybe the lost love is the "siren" that is drawing them up into the crashing waves? There clearly is a mythological aspect to the imagery. Sirens lured men to destruction but the men came because they couldn't resist. Anyway, I think there are probably as many possible interpretations to this MV and song as there are people that see it, lol. I hope that the A.C.E guys will give a little insight into what they viewed as the concept behind the song and the MV.
7:38 Well I would like u to dig more deeper bout their feeling by throwing light to the outro part which shows that they sink deeper or go under water after the eclipse before which they turned into Sirens and the way Channie shows his nature at the last part symbolizes the true nature of a mermaid and they showed their talents after eclipse till the sun concept which showed their boldness and their true love for the moon especially!! After that they sink back deep into water eventually.. It's got a deep meaning which brings joy and gets emotional at the same time..

I remember that with groups like ateez, bts, stray kids, txt, etc, I somewhat learned them quickly but i guess it was maybe because they all looked different from the get go ( If that made sense at all lolll), but I do know that sometimes that what i would do is for a song or live performance or something, i would look at line distributions or those videos where it shows the lyrics and when the members sing and then go back to watch the live performances and figure it out that way, but I guess it's gotten harder to keep up with things now with so many new groups coming out and etc xD

I've always wondered... how do you guys learn members to a group so fast? I've been wanting to learn the members to a.c.e forever now but i just cant seem to memorize them. I always have an extremely hard time remembering anything, especially idols, so i was just wondering how you guys memorize them?? :)
just watch their variety/reality shows, then slowly their faces and names will just stuck in your mind hahaha
Haha yes like what S K said, we just watch their shows and all that so you naturally learn as you keep watching them 😜❤️ but definitely more members in a group, the harder it is… loll

I remember that with groups like ateez, bts, stray kids, txt, etc, I somewhat learned them quickly but i guess it was maybe because they all looked different from the get go ( If that made sense at all lolll), but I do know that sometimes that what i would do is for a song or live performance or something, i would look at line distributions or those videos where it shows the lyrics and when the members sing and then go back to watch the live performances and figure it out that way, but I guess it's gotten harder to keep up with things now with so many new groups coming out and etc xD
