This is exciting. thank you for the tutorials. it would be nice to have Corona cameras exported to vantage
That would be nice, agreed :) We'll see what might be possible for Corona 13. And you are welcome for the tutorials! Tom
The question here seem from people who have never seen Vantage. Yes you have to pay for it, as it takes a lot of people to develop it, and to continue to develop it, hence all the features. Its a serious time saver if you are rendering stills or Animations.
TY! Yes indeed, as you say, it's a separate product from anything else from Chaos, and just like V-Ray users, Corona users would need to purchase a license for it. Meantime you can use the trial version to test out the functionality from Corona! Thanks! Tom
this is a nice option,as stated it needs work, tbh the quality isnt as good as corona (but I think thats a vantage issue). So far I ve noticed it can get a lil weird with some maps and hdris.
Thanks for the feedback! I don't think the quality will ever be as good as Corona because GPU rendering has some limitations, even on today's hardware (which is why Corona GPU was never going to happen, as Corona is all about quality). Some of that weirdness you mention we may be able to improve on in future updated. Meantime, if you run into any specific issues to report, feel free to send us a ticket at support.chaos.com/requests/new so that the bug or feature request reaches our support team. Thanks! Tom
Hi Chaos Team! Do you have a documentation explaining the usage of Lumen like in real world?
-what should be the Corona Camera's setting in relation to a Real Lumen value?
-how would this affect the default Corona Sun and Sky?
This is an interesting topic - thanks
Hi! May I ask you to send that question in as a ticket, support.chaos.com/requests/new, as that way the tech support team can a) reply or b) make a note to write up some extra documentation or c) both :) They won't see the comment here on TH-cam however :( Thanks! Tom
permite al igual que con Vray trabajar iterativamente en la escena con 3dsMax y se actualiza en Ventage?
No, that is what is called "Live Link" and is not in Corona 12. Live link will be added in Corona 13, though primarily as a means of rendering animations created in 3ds Max or Cinema 4D - only time will tell if it is "fast and responsive" enough to use as a kind of "replacement for IR". Thanks! Tom
There is no livelink from 3DSMax Corona to Vantage rightnow?
Correct, live link is planned for Corona 13. Thanks! Tom
The corona ies light in my corna doesn't show the shape of the light, how to fix?
Sorry to hear you are having problems. For assistance with specific problems, please send in a ticket via support.chaos.com/requests/new , as our support team do not see and can't assist with issues posted as comments on TH-cam. Thanks! Tom
It would be really nice if, during the export, Vantage took into account the parameters of Corona's frame buffer.
It would, but not sure how far that is possible, given that the Corona tone mapping and the Vantage tone mapping are very different, and some aspects may just not translate across at all. We'll take a look during 13 to see if improvements can be made, though. Thanks! Tom
corona physical glass material appear black in vantage how to fix it?
For specific technical issues and questions, please send in a ticket to support.chaos.com/requests/new so our support team can help out (reply if it's expected, or log it as a bug if it's a bug etc.) They can't monitor TH-cam comments so a ticket is needed to get it into our system. Thanks!
I can export from corona 11, or only 12 can it?
Only 12
Thank you decosimple for getting in there with the right answer! That is correct, you can only export from 12, it is a new feature in 12. Thanks! Tom
Do we have to pay for vantage?
Ohhh yes! =D
Yes, Vantage is a separate product so needs to be purchased separately, the same being true for V-Ray users. This is something we emphasized when people on the forums were asking for Vantage compatibility. Meantime to try it out before you buy, there is a trial for Vantage so you can try out the functionality! Thanks! Tom
how to live render c4d to Vantage
There is no live link this version, as the tutorial and release documentation mention. That is something planned for Corona 13. Thanks! Tom
nice
❤❤❤❤
Interesting... I've been using Vantage with Vray for years with realistic quality final output.
This adds a second route to get content over into Vantage :) Thanks! Tom
What is the point of vantage when you have to pay for it seperately.
Same point as if it was included in the price, the use cases don't change. Vantage is a separate product though, developed separately from V-Ray or Corona, and so needs to be purchased separately from either render engine too. Hope this helps explain things, Tom

какая у тебя видехарта получается стоит?
Corona uses the processor and not the video card
@@robsonhenrique4346 это хорошо. А сколько ядер у тебя проц получается?
Howdy! This tutorial was recorded with a 5995wx CPU and 2x 4090 GPUs. Quick note, AMD cards also work with Vantage.

First🎉
Unfortunately, it is very outdated and needs a lot of improvement. Alternative options are much better; Blender GPU rendering or transferring to Unreal Engine to get much more controllable outputs is an advantage
Well, neither of those options is good for having a working scene in Corona that you can transfer to real-time with minimum of effort, especially with Unreal that would take a lot of conversion. So which options are "much better" definitely comes down to what the user wants to achieve and their preferred workflow. Thanks! Tom
@@ChaosCorona That is, instead of agreeing with a normal statement, you prove that this is not the case. What is wrong with you, you like all other developers, simply release something that is not ready and say that it is an advantage. And it is already several generations out of date. Instead of making such a function built into the chaos corona, you release a program that no one needs, and that renders animation 5 times longer than Unreal Engine. It's not an vantage, it's vintage.
You can now get worse images than Blender's Eevee at the low cost of 600$.
What I saw in this video looks like amateur renders from years 2002-2004. Abslolutely not acceptible by my customers.
Coincidentally, evee next is getting better with new raytracing options.😅
@@krzysztofbogdanowicz4543 You can take a look at my test. In fact, the quality of Vantage is amazing. Remember, it's a full Raytracing engine. Therefore, the quality of RAW images is very close to Corona/VRay

So its unreal engine now
Should actually be a much easier to use alternative for some projects and use cases ;) Thanks! Tom
