@@sf_angler I was born out in San Pedro😊 My father was in the 11th Cavalry Band. Their band rode across the Golden Gate Bridge on the opening day festivities in 1937. They were stationed at Presidio of Monterey. You guys are spoiled with all the Salmon, Halibut, and crabs. All delicious seafood. I hope to someday go fishing out there. Congratulations on a great TH-cam channel. I'm now a subscriber. 😁
Fishing can still be decent during big tides, probably made it seem more important than it is. I don't think wind has much of an effect except for making it harder to cast
i’ve been on a losing streak with halibut 😂 i caught a shaker but it was attached to some old line and lost it, i caught a keeper and my brother was repaying the parking fee so i tried to flip it and it came off, and just today my brother caught a keeper but my brother didn’t set the hook, so when we tried to net it the fish flipped out and unhooked itself

when you plan a trip do you also look at how windy it is or does that not matter? is it just the tides have to be close?
