    What happens after the interview? Will it be in the next video?
    I had been waiting to know about the interview part for so long. Thanks Dr. Anthony.
    I hope u address some doubts about
    1. How would a specialist fare during assessment? like would he be getting some stipend or not to manage his bills?
    2. How do the Specialist find accommodation during assessment? like is it easy to find on their own or not?
    3. About getting jobs before assessment. Is it necessary to get it before applying for assessment? Is there a situation possible that a person doesnt find a job before applying for assessment? If so then how will he proceed ?

      @@CareerDoctor Hi Anthony, what evidence is required for PLAB - is it the email confirmation of PLAB success or the GMC registration certificate? Thanks

      The college will determine if your experience during the past 2 years is comparable to that of a final trainee in your speciality. If comparable or substantially comparable, they will determine if you require 1-2 year of supervision and whether to take the fellowship exam in Australia. If not comparable, they will say that you will have to apply to do the specialist training in Australia.

    Good description of steps, thank you. You mentioned the response time from the interview is 14 days. What are the reasons it might be delayed for a month or longer?

    • @CareerDoctor
      @CareerDoctor  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question! The panel normally gets back quite promptly as they have made an initial assessment based on your application. I would only be speculating on a delay but it may be because another committee needs to provide input. I would ask them why there is a delay.

    Thank you for the great videos. From your experience, how many years of post specialisation experience an orthopaedic surgeon requires to get partial recognition in Australia, if he has studied and specialised in Germany. Would 12 months be usally too short?

    • @CareerDoctor
      @CareerDoctor  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In my experience that is too short. Specialty training in Germany is quite different to Australia. It's generally not well documented. It's hard to show your comparability.

    Greetings Anthony! A question for you: Could it be possible that my specialty isn't suitable for the Specialist Pathway? (Phlebology and Lymphology)
    I ask this because the Australian College of Phlebology does not appear in the list of colleges at the AMC website.

    • @CareerDoctor
      @CareerDoctor  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no such college. You are looking at either the RACP (physicians) or RCPA (pathologists) who both cover haematology

      As per my videos it's application + interview. If found comparable you have to find the job.

    Hello sir.. your videos are very helpful and informative. Is there any video to guide IMG on applying for surgical branches like RANZCOG

    • @CareerDoctor
      @CareerDoctor  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ummm so first off thanks... Second off I'd be careful referring to O&G as a branch of surgery in Australia. I don't have specific guides on each of the colleges as the basic principles are the same and I'm never going to have the time to do a guide on each. I'd recommend you take the free course on my website. Links in description.

    Hi Anthony, I wanted to ask you if when I register with the AMC for the specialist pathway, which certificate of good standing is required, the one from my country of birth, which in my case is where I studied medicine, or the country where I practice as a specialist?

    • @CareerDoctor
      @CareerDoctor  ปีที่แล้ว

      Both. You normally need COGS for any jurisdiction you have worked in.

      Its difficult for O&G SIMGs to work in Australia at present as the college has changed its standard requirements. If you want further advice on this subject I'd recommend booking a clarity call.
