Hey there Sajah, please also acknowledge that acid reflux is very often not because of too much heat and too much acid but is because of too little acid and a cold stomach. In this situation the sphincter at the top of the stomach doesn't get the chemical signal from HCL acid and remains open allowing the symptoms of reflux to occur. This is exacerbated by the fact that food is remaining in the stomach for too long. In this scenario an antacid effect is exactly what we don't want. I personally experience this and get great results using a HCL supplement. It's very common as we age to have reduced HCL. I realize that you understand Meadowsweet isn't actually acting as an antacid and you are explaining it holistically - it' just that every time I hear you explain this scenario about heartburn I kinda cringe because that's the way most people are interpreting these symptoms and very often treating it with actual over the counter antiacids or approaching it this way when using herbs.

I think he is very clear an yor comment is just irrelevant. There are endless cases of heartburn, the herb can help in some... lets look at all the posibilities and get the conclusion that otc are the way.... come on.

Unbelievably brilliant videos Sajah! I love that you go on a deep dive into the energetic architecture of the plant, its ruling Planet and tie it into tissue states and patterns which the plant addresses from a medical astrological perspective. You are a fantastic teacher with a great depth of esoteric knowledge. I am subscribed to your monthly materia medica classes. I previously studied with the Ecoversity herbal course which is where I heard about you from one of the teachers on that course.
Best of everything to you and Whitney and family for your wonderful herbal gifts to the world,
Much Love to all, Ru x

Thank you, Sajah! I often grow plants that I feel called to without knowing much, if anything, about them. I recently added meadowsweet to my garden so it feels serendipitous to be receiving this teaching now. I loved hearing your short take on meadowsweet and I appreciate you and all you offer to the plants and the community!

I learn so much from your videos. I don't even use many of the herbs that I grow, but their beauty alone earns them a place in my garden. Thank you for another fantastic video. ❤

This is an herb I haven't yet grown or used. I'd really like to grow it. Not sure if it'll grow well in north florida though. I've had great success with many herbs. Just harvested a huge bowl of elderberry yesterday.

Hi, she is hardy to zone 9. I just started growing this lovely plant last year. They love rich, moisture retaining soils and regular watering. I haven't had much luck starting her from seed, tho. I will certainly try again next year. I have been drawn to this plant for some reason. She smells amazing when she blooms!

Always wonderful words and amazing teaching. Thank you Sajah 😊🌸 I've just a question: do you advice to make a cold infusion or a hot infusion of Meadowsweet with Marshmallow root for relaxed tissue state that passively leak fluids?

Meadowsweet was sacred to the Druids. It is obviously more than the sum of it's parts.

How did you learn all of this knowledge?
And can you learn it based on just a scientific level? For example, excluding the astrology and chinese beliefs of being hot and cold? I find the science fascinating and learning about how nature can help us, but I can't get into the astrology parts. No disrespect!
