I think the ambience and lighting is a lot better in 1.0, I also perfer the visual glitch effects when encountering Slenderman, especially the warble around his model when viewing him.
You forgot to mention 2 differences about the stereo in Kate’s house: 1. In the 1.0 version, if you played the stereo and walked further away from it, it would still keep playing no matter how farther away you were from it unlike in the 2.0 version when you play it and it stops playing when you walk farther away from it. 2. In the 1.0 version, it had a song by the name of Wildwood Flower by The Carter Family. In the 2.0 version, this was replaced with Take Me Out To The Ball Game due to copyright reasons.
Probably 2.0 is inferior to earlier versions in terms of graphics for optimization, and this is a big step back, but in 2.0 new story levels Have to choose between better graphics and additional levels Thank for comparsion
I'm personally not a fan of how they re-balanced Slender. The original Slender AI seemed to constantly be on your tail, following behind you as you rushed to get pages. New Slender AI seems way more erratic, which made him more unpredictable and scarier, but he'd force you to change your path pretty often as he'd teleport in front of you, which would lead to getting lost a lot so it's more frustrating to deal with. Not to mention the many times I died for seemingly no reason - I'd be looking away from him and running, yet he'd somehow kill me despite being pretty far away from me.
Was going to say the same thing but you beat me to it like should have just kept everything and made it darker with the original graphics frfr I have the new version on PS5 and the original on my PC because it's still better
@@stivothemenaceI personally like that he's less predictable and makes smarter moves like teleporting in front of you, but what I also am not a fan of is the random instakills or the bullshit moments where he starts distorting the screen so you begin running, but it doesn't help and you just die. Was he in front of me again? Who the fuck knows, I can't make out shit from the warbly screen that has overstayed it's welcome for 10 seconds now.
Despite some lower quality textures and models in areas, 1.0 has the strongest atmosphere and style. The stillness of the beginning, and the cooler color pallet lends to an eerie but ultimately very calming vibe. I really hate how the Shadow of moving clouds is so fast in 2.0. Its weird and uncanny, which i will say may add a cool vibe for some people. I could see how the cloud shadows would act as some sort of ominous current trying to warn you away from continuing. Kinda trippy in that way since the Skybox isnt moving. Ultimately i feel 1.0 is still stronger. It feels almost serene
Version 1.0 hands down. Best graphics ever. And I really hope that the remodeled version of Slender the Arrival does the Same thing as the base version.
The graphics were downgraded to some degree around version 1.5 because 1.0 had notably bad performance. Althouth they sometimes use better textures and models in the newer versions, a lot of the particle effects got trimmed down and therefore in my opinion negatively impact the atmosphere. Also the camera noise effects seemed to be trimmed down a lot.
Version 2.0 is so dark that it is practically impossible to see without increasing the brightness in the settings, and sometimes even that doesn't help

The real question is... why Lauren had a Camera if she was going to visit Kate?
For the same reason Jay had a camera in Marble Hornets. She was going to investigate Kate's disappearance.
@Unknown_User or as a evidence
To record the moments with friend bro, it's cannon
@@SillyCatRetroand then it turned into a mess with Slenderman so she got to record it in case she escaped (she doesn't)

Don't forget all the bugs and worse controls in 1.0
1.0 has way better graphics and lighting while 2.0 has better gameplay, less bugs, and tells the storyline way better
1.0 had the best graphics, but 2.0 had a scarier Slenderman.

1.0 is my personal favorite cuz nostalgia
I like the visual style and animations of v1.0, i like the gameplay and levels of v2.0

1.0 had better looking graphics, but 2.0 had more content
1.0 has a better color palette, it was more blue and usually was darker. 2.0 is way too purple
The eight pages level in 2.0 without a flashlight: Am I a joke to you?
@@heavenandhello6629 the darkness in 1.0 felt more natural though, if you get what I mean

Nintendo switch version the shadow is back on the house part 👀
What the hell did they do with the vegetation in version 2.0 lol, 1.0 is so much better
1.0 vs 1.5 please
1.0 best version on this game, 2.0 really sucks....
Game just got better over time.
How to download version 1.0
activate the beta version in the game settings in Steam
I was hoping for some side-by-sides.
1.0 betters graphics 2.0 downgrade but more levels
I'm in the minority here but I prefer the color scheme of 2.0.
1.0 is laggy for me while 2.0 (which i modded graphics for shadows lmao) was way smoother
how did u mod it
What about 1.5.6?
1.0👍 2.0😡
thank god now its on ue5 engine :) .. ps: v1.0 wins by far compared to 2.0
