Easiest strategy is max poison resist, get at least 10k armour (have disobedience aspect), be at least low 90s level, have the bat evade vampire skill enabled for ez unstoppable. That's all the tankiest you need to be to facetank with your unoptimal build and ignore mechanics. Loot better new uniques, kill Duriel faster.
Just got him after 7 attempts on a lvl 80 pulverize druid. Used Debilating Roar with Blood Howl for the heals. Got flickerstep boots. Thank you for the guide.
i'm lvl 100, i today i tried taking him on, i put poison res gems in my jewels, + drank the best pois res potion. went in fully capped, yet still anything that touched me maked my lose 70% hp, the part when the maggots fall down, is insta death, and almost impossible to avoid, i tried until my gear was damaged in red, then gave up,
Good video. I have a level 100 Druid with Dire Warewolf pioson setup with all glyps at max level. You still do a lot more damage and take less damage than me so I guess I need to respec my character a bit. I managed to get Duriel down to 60% health but that is the best so far. I think I will change my paragon board to have more resistane vs poison that should make a difference.

I'm finally in the same boat. I haven't tried him yet but my BL Sorc. Build just reached lvl 100 and I want to try. I got one shotted by Lilith so I'm kinda freaked right now, lol
@@cypresscitycomics1185 don’t worry, Uber Lilith is a total different story (WAY harder!) as long as you‘ve got a decent ball lightning build and some defense stats, Uber duriel should be easy. Nowadays with optimized gear, it takes like 10 seconds for me to down him and my first try was less than a minute iirc
Use a potion of poison resistance, I practically died immediately. Soon as I did that, beat him easily. If you have a solid build and a potion of poison resistance he is easy.
i put poison res in all my jewels and drink a pois res potion, i went in fully capped, yet anything of poison that slightly touched me almost one shotted me, (80% hp gone in a sec). i tried taking him down until my gear was red of damage, i cant, its impossible
@@nightfalls5462 damn man, that’s how it was for me originally, but potion seemed to work, maybe get an armor piece that gives you more health potions? Just pop them constantly

Duriel isn't that tough but he'll wear you down to zero potions. Beating up his 2 buddies will give you more potions hopefully enough to survive. I'm 100 but it's still not easy. The two bosses you kill to get the eggs and shards for Duriel do become pretty easy to kill later though. Frustrating what crappy uniques you get though.
@@andrewoconnor3265 I'm just using a thorns bleed build. The only part I really struggled after learning fight was the ads shooting poison. That was hard. I have a razor plate but doesn't help at all in boss fights.

Is this on Tier 4?? I tried yesterday on my lvl 100 barbarian with DR cap and 76% poison res but I get facemelted. Can't get mich further than 20%.

I'm level 90 ball lightning sorc. Should I wait until I get to lvl 100 or can I try duriel? Don't wanna waste any mats
That's gonna come down to your gear. If your poison res is capped (use a flask), and you're tearing through L100+ content already go for it imo.

If ur at 70% poison res, u still need elixir ?
Elixirs increase maximum resistance so it'll still provide a significant defensive benefit.

I was under the impression that only the player who spent the mats got rewards with Duriel, unlike the other bosses.
Everyone in the room gets rare/legendary/unique items on Duriel.
I might need to tank up since a maggot dropped on my head and one shot me immediately from full health lol

There is no minimum level to fight him. However; he is tuned for level 100 characters so you might struggle at L80 depending on your build/gear.
So dont try and beat him when lvl 45 then

first try sorc is to easy..... got my core item.... killed him as a lvl 75 sorc lol..... nerf sorc.....
This fights laim and you get nothing 99.9% of the time except junk you can get anywhere, save yourself the hassle and avoid it
if your hota or death blow just one shot him.or any offem for that matter.
