Alice, as always, got it right. When the City machine started to grind, M. Olivier came to the rescue. Last season he didn't give Kovacic a second yellow card because "I didn't want to kill the game", but today he decided to kill the game. Webb will defend him, but the shame will remain.
Couldn't of said it better my friend exactly that the only excuse that can now be given is it's a different season different rules all clubs where told in the summer this is how it is now. an any other industry, this ref wouldn’t be allowed anywhere near a City game. It would be considered a conflict of interest by the companies ethics code… but in EPL it’s perfectly fine apparently. Embarrassing

Correct me if I’m wrong, Havertz blonde sided Rodri today and got no card and yet Arsenal fans didn’t say a word; Troussard kicked the ball away in the 1st half after he got his first YC and nothing happened (just like Doku and both should’ve receive one) yet no Arsenal fan upset about it; Troussard on a YC goes through the back of Silva with an elbow and doesn’t get a YC when that’s a YC everyday and then kicks the ball and get a YC.
Arsenal score when the whistle hadn’t been blown AND you moved the ball 10 yards further forward that the spot AND Walker has been called by the ref, was out of position when Arsenal kicked the ball without a whistle. I noticed you’re not complaining about that either, yet you’d be crying murder IF Coy had done.

We had to play on Sunday against spurs away, Thursday away at Atalanta (first time I ve seen a team play on Thursday in a champions league game) and Sunday away at city... on the other hand city have played at home the last three games..

Raya has been class since about half way through last season. He's a very complete keeper that does everything well and doesn't buckle under pressure. He was a bit wobbly at the start with us but boy has he grown into the role now. The way he's going he could be our player of season come next May.
He’s already in the running for Save of the Season in the PL and in the CL in the span of a month.
City face 10 man low blocks all the time. It's a testimony to Arsenal that City struggled so much against a 9 man low block.

Fair analysis, only things that no one speaks about is the amount of times city surrounded the ref with no consequences, Reuben on a yellow card elbowing Havertz in the face, Haaland flooring Partey and if kicking a ball into a player is a yellow card then why is throwing it into a players face not one.

Trolls will be trolls. they'll say anything, as illogical they are 99% of the time, to trigger a response from arsenal fans. proud of the performance, real frustrating to see this sort of shite officiating happening on week by week basis. Whether it is our game or another, it is a clear indication that the officiating in England is total rubbish and is smearing the name of the Premier League and the beauty of the game.

Fair play to you. You know what you watched. Some fans are boneheads. When do City ever get refs sending their players off. With Arsenal the refs changes the temperature of the reffing mid game with us. Its infuriating.

Fine analysis Alice-as usual. I have to laugh when City whine about other clubs doing a bit of time wasting and they are out of control when surrounding the ref with every decision-no one else gets away with that. Black arts can be used both ways. Arsenal did well , and I feel are the moral victors today. I do think Trossard let the side down for such an intelligent player-if refereeing is as inconsistent as it has been one must tread carefully to prevent 2nd yellows. David Raya has been on another planet-wouldn't mind him being 2-3 inches taller but you can't have everything.

The draw was daylight robbery. How Arsenal turned around the 1-0 and turned into 1-2 going in did in no way deserve that sending off. 1-2 was the correct result but imagine if it had ended up 3-2. City won’t know it for a bit but that was a very significant game.

The ball almost touhes Trossard's foot when the whistle was blown. They say the yellow is for kicking the ball away. This is the same referee that gave Martinelli 2 quick yellows in one move. He hates us.

Last year Michael Oliver was paid 20K by the City owners to ref a game in UAE days before the Arsenal v City game during which he declined to give an obvious second yellow to Kovacic because “he didn’t want to ruin the game”. Yet he was happy to ruin this game (again to the benefit of the team who has greased his palms).
If Rodri is out for a while that could swing things Arsenal's way, Pep can't seem to find a way to cope without him, much of the time anyway.
Defensively Arsenal have a swagger when the attack is flowing it will be ridiculous.

I’m hoping Rodri went down at 5 secs because Havertz deliberately totalled him. I’m hoping that was deliberate. The second totaling took him out of the game. It’s a tough old struggle at the top end.

Check the stats Alice. City are one of the quickest teams to restart play, take goal kicks, throw-ins, and corners, as well as having the highest percentage of total minutes with the ball in play. Its only free kicks they delay the same amount as Arsenal.

As usual a fair, unbaised take from a rival fan. People dunking on Arteta for going haram ball but what else can you do 10v11 at City? Had we tried to go toe to toe with them we'd have lost the game, probably gotten battered. We've been naive like that before and been punished.
The match officials have now stated that Trossard got his second yellow card for a foul and not for preventing play from continuing.
And the problem with that is that Haaland run through Saliba as he headed a ball away and took him out. He got nothing. That seemed like a yellow if the Trossard one was as well. For every reason/excuse they have, they have a ruling that blatantly negates it. It's the inconsistency. They keep moving the goal post.

Arsenal fans here, but I don't think we would have gotten this result if it were 11v11. Arteta will fight attacks with attacks and lose stamina, as the MC players had more time to rest and were playing two home games vs. our two away games beforehand.
It is because it was 11v10 that Arteta resorted to playing counter football like the tot game to get this result
Last season, we lost due to our lack of rotation and our players' fatigue. So, if we go atk vs. atk, we will lose more stamina overall. I think the result is best for the season. Saka got the rest he needed, and others used less stamina due to playing defensively for the second half.
if we needed to pick bones from the egg, we could have won if we had just stayed focused a little bit more, but that's life. Stones always come out for MC, just like the game vs Liverpool 5 years ago
