Wow, that site is obviously an old swimming hole and lovers wishing well...pitching coins in and making a wish. Those are some crazy nice finds. Good job and excellent video
Holy crap that's got to be the best day in history of a metal detector!! I can't honestly believe you guys found all that gold and silver that's just crazy!! I thoroughly enjoyed this vlog!! God bless!!
WOW🙌 DEFINITELY THE MOST FANTASTIC SILVER HAUL I'VE EVER SEEN. Went back and viewed your part 1 and part 2 river hunt. What an incredible spot. All the goodies that we like to find. Congratulations and great video. Rob
Thank you and thanks for watching , you guys maks some great finds there at the beach , I need to start hitting the Chicago beaches after watching your videos , but ron cleans them out !
+hiluxyota yes I have seen some of Chicago Ron's videos where he and Mark load up on the gold rings. I think your River hunts definitely compare to that and maybe better with all the old silver. Congratulations again on a great spot and some great finds.
Awesome day for sure! You found a very nice mid 20's to early 30's swimming hole! Simply blown away, how clean, clear and shallow your diggin hole is! The best of all water conditions including a mild current as well! HWH and thanks for sharing your dig!
really amazing .. its like you can pick whatever you want ... your right this video will be hard to beat haha congrats Tom ... sweet rings tons of em congrats will be looking for the next
So awesome!... What a great site to hunt... a honey hole for sure. Can't believe all that was found in one day....Unreal!Congrats on the silver and gold. - Cody 'R.S.'
this had to be the rich$ kids summer swimming hole back in the day. maybe even private access . nice recovery guy's nice to know the right folks to gain access. that's key ! thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching , research definitely pays off , This was a very popular place in the early teens , people from the city would take a 2 hour train ride to get here and spend the weekend.. we were just lucky enough that it was never detected before.. we thought we would only find a few coins here n there, but we are still amazed at how much we are still finding..
Great Day in the Morning!! What a PHENOMENAL DAY of River Detecting!! CONGRATS on the INCREDIBLE Variety of SILVER COINS, SILVER INDIAN BRACELETS, SILVER RINGS, Old BOTTLES, and the (2) GOLD RINGS!! Also, Dirty Dan's Big SILVER COINS, along with the other SILVER COINS and RINGS!! Let's not Forget his (2) GOLD RINGS also!! CONGRATS on a GREAT DAY for both of YOU!! NamVetLesTreasureSeeker.
Wow. What a spot. I bet you didn't want to leave. I hope I have a day when I can say I'm getting tired of finding silver coins. lol. That's awesome. Mike
AWESOME AWESOME hunt!!! I would love to hunt a spot like that!!! Solid gold was used by assayers on gold that was imported back in the late 1800's to early 1900's. The Bracelet pretty sure is silver as well. I found one that the sterling mark was worn off. What a great collection of finds! GL&HH!
you all might wannta think about going back for another few more times to get the rest. I bet lots more is still to be discovered. Great finds. i bet we all wish we where there with you. ... but the water looked kinda cold
We been pounding the area every chance we get. And we pulled a lot more since this video. I have a few more videos of finds from this site that I still haven't uploaded yet ! And all have multiple gold and silver finds.
Thanks , we didn't expect to find very much thinking that its been detected before , but we were shocked to find that its virgin and couldn't believe all we dug up .. sites like this are very rare ..
woooow i loved those buffalo coins and the indian bracelet the other coins are a super bonus to you would be surprised how much you can find in a river i will be getting detecting eqipment soon
You will , sites like these were in almost every town or surrounding town ..just have to spend the hours researching ..I like to find the places that are hard to locate because not a lot of people will take the time to search for areas like these. the only channel that finds rings and searches sites like we do is detector comparisons . good luck
Now that's a dream hunt! Best location I've seen in a long time. I have a feeling you guys will be back there a few more times. No telling how much is there. Awesome video Tom and huge congrats on the the coins, rings and jewelry.
Nice! Those Native American cuff bracelets are silver, and very desirable. Fred Harvey era begins around 1890, and refers to the souvenirs sold by Natives to tourists stopping at the railroad stations. Yours are probably from 1890-1920. Do some research into the symbols on the bracelets, and it might narrow down to a tribe. I wouldn't take less than $100-150 on each of those. I'm so jealous! Thanks for sharing!
Man that's a hot spot!! If you get tired and need a break just let me know lol. Very nice finds Tom! Those Gold Class Rings are awesome! Nice haul man! GL & HH, Jerimy
wow! impressive guys! I guess I've been searching in all the wrong places. Been hunting for over 30 years and only found one silver coin ever, a 1947 quarter. Will try to take your tips on using the old platte maps to find something older than the oldest I've ever found which was a 1925 penny. The hunt continues ......
Dude...If I ever had a two-day hunt like yours, that'd be it. I'd retire my detector, because I would never, ever have another hunt like this the rest of my live-long days. Very, very awesome! The only thing you guys didn't find was the gold bars...I mean, everything else was in that river, right? LOL! Congrats! -Tim
Your Little Orphan Annie ring is quite collectable and comes under the categaorie or radio premium rings if I remember correctly. The radio is because they were made during the time of radio comic book character stories and the premium because it was probably something like buy so many boxes of such and such a cereal and turn them in for the free ring !!!
Thats freek'n awesome brother! I'm completely flooded in down here in Louisiana and this is an awesome vid to get my mind off the total devastation i've been looking at every day. Thanks for sharing!
definitely nicer to be in the water than on land detecting , theres spots all over like that in almost every town , Its just finding a virgin site like this , is very rare , we didn't expect to find but a couple of coins , but we were really shocked when they started to pop out everywhere !
Fantastic hunt...I've watched both vids and just subscribed. The 'junk' ring with the Chicago Hall of Science is from the 1933 Chicago World's Fair. Good luck on future hunts!
Just amazing that all this was found in a stream or river like that. Over 50 - 60 years of people wading, fishing, swimming, playing I suppose you could lose all sorts of things. It must have been a really popular haunt over the decades to be able to amass that many lost items. I know that they weren't skipping coins, money was too valuable. You could do a lot of things for 10 cents back then.
I was very fortunate to find a site like this that has never been detected..the water level recently dropped at the beginning of the year , making it easy to detect where otherwise it would of been too high to get in there..
just found your channel(and subscribed)very interesting as i am caught up in park hunting as of now, mostly clad and can tabs.x arrowhead hunter and going to the river!!!
U guys have outdone urselves, outstanding. U gotta keep going back, should be a lot more there. Wonder why so many coins, was this a swimming area or ssid ome type of amusement area? Those old HS rings r neat n I haven't seen a little orphan annie ring since I was a kid growing up in the early 1950s, thanks for that memory. There used to be a Marshall HS here in Brazoria County, TX that is no longer in use as a school, it was an all black school. It's now used for administration offices. Looking forward to ur next hunt, good luck...
Tanks , yes it was an old water park back in the early teens to late 20's , I expected to find maybe a couple things thinking it was hunted before , but we were shocked to find all those old coins and rings , which tells us its never been detected before , very scarce to find a virgin site , we don't want to draw too much attention by going there every day for hours at a time !!
Wow! nice finds! those gold rings look antique there worth alot of money. I do metal detecting i found a small gold antique wedding ring, one tiny diamond in it worth $400-700 dollars. antique gold is worth alot money n black hills gold.
WOW, what a find. Great video and hunt. What is the history of this place ? I would go back there again. Very nice finds. I wander why there are so many class rings there. Good job and I can't wait to see your next hunt.
Where were you guys, the land that time forgot -- or the land of the lost?! Like you went back in time for the day. Neat! :~) Double check all those "junk rings"... I can't imagine junk rings lasting in the water that long. They look old also.
Un fricking real! Any clad? Love to have seen all the junk found also! I can't wait to see your next hunt. Got me wanting to jump in my car right now and go! lol One of the top videos of the year so far!
Thanks , much appreciated , I should have my hunt from the second day there uploaded soon and I was only there for 4 hours and walked away with some amazing finds..
I believe the ring you show at 21:20 is from the 1933 Chicago Worlds Fair. It's probably not worth anything due to the condition but still a neat find. It makes me wonder if any of the things you called tribal bands were from the expo as well. You moved so fast in the video I couldn't quite see but I thought some of the markings looking a little "deco" ish. I had fun watching. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching , the tribal band bracelets someone commented were from a certain jeweler that made them by hand . forgot the name without looking back for the comment , but they are very collectable ..
Thanks for watching , I found a few more gold rings and there are some markings on it that I would like you to see , since you do seem very knowledgeable on them.. their all early teens or 20's from the time period of that site . I will have the video uploaded in a few days , I hope you can check it out and maybe give some input on them ..
God, next time i need a laugh remind me to stroll through any popular metal detecting video. It's Al btw from DDD lol, some of these comments are hilarious
What's up with the badge with the longship at 20:50? With Leif Eriksson. If it's all stuff from the 20s, it seems a bit out of place. Unless i miss my guess, i believe there was an overwhelming resistance against anything that suggested that Columbus wasn't the first European to reach North America, in the US for a long long time. If it's really from the 20's then that item is pretty damn interesting, let me tell you. Of course, if it's from some sort of annual viking age reenactment thing up and down the river, then it's cool as well. Have you looked it up?
Ring has my initials! What is really amazing is that the people who lost the items have been gone for many years in most cases, just can't believe your luck.
Thanks , I only found one ring that had initials on it I am in the process of tracking down the family of the person that wore it. not an easy task but I am going to try .. I was definitely shocked as well with everything that was there , we figured we wound only find a few coins and maby a silver ring like the other site we detected , but what a nice surprise to find that it has never been detected
I enjoy watching videos like this to see the details in what you find, not what the metal is or your count for the day. You had some great finds where you could have held still & let the camera focus for a little bit so we, the viewer, could actually participate and see what you see. Instead you flip it around like you have Parkinson's & only show the metal stamp. You were finding some really cool lost history. With practice I believe your videos will get better.
well I know I cant please everyone.. this is youtube , none of us are professional film makers , most of us on here anyways..I try to get good close up shots of everything , its hard to do sometimes holding the camera with one hand and trying to look through the view finder trying to get it to focus along with the sunlight or glare from the water.
What state are you guy's from? I'm in southern Illinois and I'm just getting started in river hunting. I've got the AT Max I've still got to buy the waterproof headphones I've been trying to find some used Garrett blue but it isn't looking like I am going to be able to find one used.
Wow, that site is obviously an old swimming hole and lovers wishing well...pitching coins in and making a wish.
Those are some crazy nice finds. Good job and excellent video
All I can say is WOW! That is one of the most prolific water hunts that I have ever watched! Thanks for sharing! That was exciting!
What a fantastic day hunting. I hope you have many more like this one. Huck
Holy crap that's got to be the best day in history of a metal detector!! I can't honestly believe you guys found all that gold and silver that's just crazy!! I thoroughly enjoyed this vlog!! God bless!!
Wow! What an awesome spot! great finds...looking forward to seeing what else comes out of there.
Thanks for watching , I cant wait to get back there ..

Spectacular. Big congratulations on working such a great site. Best of luck on your future hunts, and thanks so much for sharing your adventure.

just found your channel(and subscribed)very interesting as i am caught up in park hunting as of now, mostly clad and can tabs.x arrowhead hunter and going to the river!!!
Wow! nice finds! those gold rings look antique there worth alot of money. I do metal detecting i found a small gold antique wedding ring, one tiny diamond in it worth $400-700 dollars. antique gold is worth alot money n black hills gold.
I mainly detect old swimming sites from the early 1900's so they all range from the late 1800's to the 1930's
Enjoyed watching your video! Way to many "Awsome's".
Wow !!! What a kick ass spot. Great job and awesome finds !!! HH & GL
Thanks for watching , I never thought I would find that much great stuff from there ..very rare to find a virgin spot like that one..
Amen to that brother
Super Hunt Boys ! Thanks for shar'in !!
Sweet finds...
Marshall HS Chicago, Illinois
Un fricking real! Any clad? Love to have seen all the junk found also! I can't wait to see your next hunt. Got me wanting to jump in my car right now and go! lol One of the top videos of the year so far!
Thanks , much appreciated , I should have my hunt from the second day there uploaded soon and I was only there for 4 hours and walked away with some amazing finds..

Thanks for watching , the tribal band bracelets someone commented were from a certain jeweler that made them by hand . forgot the name without looking back for the comment , but they are very collectable ..
The solid gold ring is older than the turn of the cen. when K marks were not regulated. If it was lost in the 1920's it was already old.
Thanks for watching , I found a few more gold rings and there are some markings on it that I would like you to see , since you do seem very knowledgeable on them.. their all early teens or 20's from the time period of that site . I will have the video uploaded in a few days , I hope you can check it out and maybe give some input on them ..
wow nice finds I have to start hitting swimming holes I have a bunch up in New York where I live
Wow! Awesome day.
God, next time i need a laugh remind me to stroll through any popular metal detecting video. It's Al btw from DDD lol, some of these comments are hilarious

Really awesome hunt!

that log might be worth up to a grand itself depending on what kind of wood it is
What's up with the badge with the longship at 20:50? With Leif Eriksson.

Ring has my initials! What is really amazing is that the people who lost the items have been gone for many years in most cases, just can't believe your luck.
