All types of metal detecting,. Including rivers , and private property permissions here in Illinois . I use the minelab ctx 3030 exclusively and mainly search old turn of the century swimming hole sites for old lost jewelry and relics.

Nice job! East central Illinois here.
I always have admired your honesty. I mastered an AT PRO. I laughed at your digs at Garrett's machines...giggled aplenty...but was steered towards them by Al in Plainwell. Al is a savant in detecting. I bought into Nokta's bullshit a year ago. Black Friday deal...I bought a LEGENDARY POS. Turkish crap that now everyone on "you screwed" is getting paid to say best machine ever. Mine died with my fist when AT PRO...out dated tech... blew the foreign piece of shit away. On land it was great. 1" of water and it sucked ass. I smashed that POS with my fist and pulled glass shards outta my hand with a smile on my face. TURKISH JUNK. Any suggestions as to a new machine? I'm leaning towards DEUS II?
@@garrettmarquart6702 the deus 2 seems to be what all the relic guys are using nowadays. I never even held one in person but it does look to me like a hell of a learning curve to operate it just from watching people using it. If I was to get another machine that would be the one. But again, a lot of people are paid to tell you how great it is for example detecting nyc … he’s bought and paid for by dues. So he can’t say anything bad about it. But from what I have been seeing from some top relic hunters is the deus 2 is unbearable in heavy iron infested sites.
Unbeaten in heavy iron sites. !
@hiluxyota7200 Respect brother. Buried my dad on the 1st of this month. He never understood the brotherhood of detecting. Criticized me for wasting my time...he was a crotchety old bastard but still my dad. Ty 4 taking the time to respond. Also I detect alone. Share shit and you get hit! Lumpy and you rule. Keep it up. Sending love to both of you from SW Michigan...no Bud Lite fella here!!!! 😂
@@hiluxyota7200 Thank you, brother. Thank you from the bottom of my heart...sincerely. 5 year warranty submersible to 66ft. That's where I'm headed. Garrett bought White's and I thought they were going in the right direction as it was White's that introduced so much. Leakonoxes are not the solution. The manticore did not impress me. You told the truth. It's an Aussie recap of an ersatz machine. The 3030. Might be faster....but it ain't better
Awesome
On the heels of MY previous, and less than professional comments,... I'm going to man-up here and say that I need to spend more time with the Manticore. I'm also going to say that I regret posting my negative comments about the Manticore and/or Minelab. Why the change of tune? Well, partly because I've been reading Dankowski's 'Manticore: Data & Performance' forum. It's great! In conclusion I'll say this: 1). This is a sophisticated machine with tremendous potential. 2). I'm a novice (very clear to me now), with a lot to learn about detecting... and detectors... AND the Manticore. 3). The more I learn and use the Manticore, the more I like it. Over and out!
Casper Metal Detecting here.... Glad to see you post again - glad your making good finds! Im out of the hunt due to health issues soooo have to live thru your hunts and finds - so hope you keep it up so I got something to see- continued Good Luck to you and Lumpy!
Looks like Trump is getting a good lineup for his administration including a reporter from Fox news for Defense Secretary. Lots of experience in military matters I'm sure.
Just subscribed! Great videos, and wow you guys kill it on the rings! Happy hunting
Totally agree with you,I only hunt in the water,4 hours everyday, it's equal to the EQUINOX 800,an in some situations its worse, like wave wash,an moderate black sand..
👍
Mark is Mark. You can take it until you can't. First time l saw it was with Ron. Maybe your split was something else but as long as you and Lumpy are happy. Congrats on the finds and Trump winning.
gday from oz,ive had the core for a year just before u got yours,i only hunt salt water,i used the ctx for 5 years before that and a whites tdi beach hunter witch kicks all of there butts but it leaked and no parts avaliable, the core is a very powerfull machine it performs better at lower sens and higher recovery speeds,it is deeper than the ctx in the salt its problem is ANYTHING deep 10 inches or deeper allways has an iron tone with a tiny non ferrous tone, its plenty deep enough on sens 20 for me the low conductor mode is the noisy, est i dont use it,remember less is best with this machine, good luck.
Thank you for being so honest. I'm on the other side of " the pond". Been usin AT PRO sine the "PLANDEMIC". Learned squawks ans squeaks and, even with outdated tech, you'll find stuff
My crypto is going through the roof!
Glad to see you back!!!
Too bad about the fallout with Mark….sad to hear, but shit happens…on a better note,I reside in Pennsylvania and my home provided 5 Trump votes which helped deliver the all important swing state to the next president …enough was enough with the Illegals and the lgbtq gang….let’s direct the attention now to our families for 4 years
Hell yes Trump clean sweep.
Glad trump got elected! even though I am from NH Im not one of those pickle smooching liberals! lots of them up here! Manticore is a super saltwater machine hot on gold! had great luck with the XP2 in the water also! good luck on the deer hunting season and treasure hunting!
Hey Tom, tell lumpy I said congrats some great finds she got. We need to get together one of these days. It’s been too long. Tim dug an 1832 capped bust half dime at the button field last weekend
Nice. . I didn’t get no invite!!!
@ your always welcome
Expressing political opinions is a good way to lose watchers. I don't recommend it.
@@Drview1000 I don’t care what people recommend when it regards to my political opinion. I’m not like these other metal detecting TH-cam guys who cares about views likes and subscribers. If people don’t like then they don’t have to watch. One thing I learned on here is there’s no way to please everyone. And I not going to waste time trying ..
@@hiluxyota7200 For me politics has no place on this format. If you want to Express your political opinions that is your priviledge, but it ruins it for me. There has to be some where you can get away from the political rancor that's going on in this country. It's destroying us and I can't take it anymore. I'm gone. By by
@@Drview1000lol. Well make sure you pour yourself a tall glass of soy milk with that whaaaa burger your eating because me congratulating that trump won on here shouldn’t bother anyone but again ,I don’t care ..
@hiluxyota7200 you are a problem. I don't care makes you a jerk in my book. I know there a lot of other people who do care and pretty sure they wouldn't like your attitude either. You are an opinionated jerk.
Keep being you! Who cares if they dont like what you say@hiluxyota7200
Congrats Lumpy, Dang nice finds. Those CTX are like carrying around a bag of rocks. (Lumpy probably getting bulked up using it..8-)
I purchased the 900 versus the Manticore. I hunt old parks, beaches, rivers and lakes. My first good find was an SLQ in a trashy old park. The separation of the 900 allowed me to see it under a square nail. I have found many silver coins and jewelry hunting with the 900 in places I had already hunted multiple times with the 800.
Try using the depth audio profile .. its way better than using tones... easy to separate iron from good targets by the size... I have never used a better machine in iron infested spots ... also use the 2d screen as an indicator of good targets(iron tends to show far below or above the centre line) ... you will never dig another bottle cap ever again unless its ultra deep and the machine cant quite identify it!
+1 for the detector portion of the video.
Really sad that things work out the way they do.. but gold fever is a weird thing ... we all face the same things with other detectorists.. would you believe me if I said the Manticore is an absolute beast in heavy iron ? 😅😂
I plan on getting a Manticore since they have the $1199 sale going on. And after talking more with Frank Lopergolo. GL&HH Matt
Gold can do some pretty crazy things to friendships for sure. Sometimes your the bug, sometimes your the windshield. Hope you guys work it out. Love the manticore in the ocean, not so much on land and visa versa for the D2. 🤙
Go figure Mark being Mark. 😂
Deus2 It's located a lot of dirt rings for me.
Good to see you again, Deer season also ready. You know how it goes with friends, some go some stay and other leave, which why I hunt myself and my Deus 2 is really a gold finder. Keep us informed and yes will know how it goes, keep swinging. Do shows your end year finds. Is it break time yet?
hey Tom ! i miss your farm field videos brother ! y’all are always welcome down here and hope you get a trime soon . Congrats on the bucketlisters Lumpy 🇺🇸🤝🏴☠️ - Matt
Congrats to Lumpy. She killed it that day out in the fields. 👍💯🤓
Thank you Mark! 😊
Glad you are posting new content love it all good content.
Nice to see you posting a new video. Congrats to you and lumpy on your finds 👏👏👏 I have been getting some very old coins lately my favorite is a 1853 Trime. Off topic love the CBR 1000 I have a CBR929 😁
@@mikeycod7377 trime is still a bucket list coin I haven’t found yet.
I was like you with the CTX and I still have it but don't use it anymore because of the weight. But I will say I switched and went XP Deus 2 and I ain't looking back and it's better than Manticore for just the reason you described falsifying signals and will do just as well in the areas that the Manticore shines
@@Findingwithfrequency a lot of relic guys are going with the Deus 2. Looks like a huge learning curve on it.
@@hiluxyota7200 No it's easy, right out the box programs.
👍
I've owned a Legend for 1.5yrs. A $500 machine. Some folks badmouth it, but I love it! Not perfect, but, less Iron falsing, and better in EMI. Nokta listens to customers and modifies code often. Nevertheless, I decided to buy a top-of-the-line Manticore 2 mo ago. I do have good things to say about this machine. Iron Falsing is not on the list... neither is EMI. "Lower the sensitivity" some folks say. To what? 16, 17? That doesn't sit well w/me. Then there's the new "Stabiliser"..(I assume that feature was added after release of this vid). Does it reduce falsing? I've played around with it and I say no!. It simply modifies or "modulates" the tone....the non-ferrous tone! And frankly, I could live with the fact that I'm getting a NF tone for a large iron nail, but, when is shows up directly on the NF line with a friggin VDI of 90!!? For all you D2 owners out there, does your D2 do that?... and if so, how often? Minelab needs to get their thumb out of their ass and fix this! Meanwhile, I am looking forward to the release the Legend 2.0 🙂. And yes, there are MANY popular, likeable, money-grubbing Y-tubers out there of whom I trusted when I did my Manticore research. My bad! They should all get a job an MSNBC.
Subbed from Finland! Happy hunting from another detectorist!😊🍀
Awesome finds
Nice hunt and finds!! But maybe nextime try to find where the wind blows and turn your mic cause ouff my friend it was terrible to ear your comments1 cYA NEXT VIDEO!!
You sound like you have a lot of experience with the 3030 and the manticore. I primarily beach and salt water hunt. What machine is the better one?
@@Quickcat21MK the manticore does hit harder on small gold than the ctx. I haven’t used either in salt water. In a cut with heavy iron I’m still struggling with the manticore. It’s definitely lighter and has a faster recovery speed than the ctx but I’m still learning it . The ctx to me has a better tone variation, I can tell the sound difference between a pull tab and a nickel. The manticore, I’m still trying to distinguish the sounds. Both great machines but for the water I think the manticore has a small edge in finding gold.
@@hiluxyota7200 I had my 3030 setup so I could tell if it was gold. A nickel sounded the same. I will have to see how the manticore plays out I just ordered one. Thank you for the reply. If it isn't as good on my main beach ill just...have to order another 3030 lol.
@@Quickcat21MK I hated it at first but for fresh dropping it hits hard on small earring backs and Bobby pins. I had to slide a small piece of a pool noodle on the end of the shaft behind the arm cuff because if you let it go it will sink. Where the back of the ctx actually floats. I’m not sure about salt water but in fresh water the beach low setting in enhanced audio seems to work the best for me in my areas.
Half way through the video. You are on a good spot!
Love your videos. You rock with your prowess and love the sense of humor in former vids. GL & HH I find stuff too but my pouch is loaded with zink pennies and sharp shit so I can display junk lol😅 Show jewelry and every mfer on the beach tries to say they just lost it. Worthless POS thieves.
Dang nice finds!
👍
Can I ask a question, my diamond tester there is a silver triangle near where you test the diamonds that your fingers have to be touching to make it work. Does yours have that?
Nice load of rings between you..what settings you running on the manticore, I had one for a month but so chatty in the water..
i use beach low with enhanced on and sensitivity around 24
@hiluxyota7200 thanks I'm beginning to think my coils faulty..can't run above 18 sensitivity with 11 coil.
@@mickbalton7028 24 is pushing it for me , but mostly I’m in 23 to 24 most time with recovery at 3. If I’m in a cut with iron I will turn it down to 22 and it seems to be smoother. You probably have a lot of mineralization where you’re at.
@hiluxyota7200 thanks for your advice..here in the Mediterranean its super salty an I was advised to get the M8 coil but it's not available in our country yet I'll go back to the equinox untill I can get one..the equinox even in beach 1 is super smooth in the salt..
Shweet hunt... well done !
Where you been, I missed your channel, I thought the Tube banned you?
What detector are you using? Cool finds
My God, people sure lose allot of gold in your area!! Holy crap!!
It's almost totally unbelievable. Nope, not almost.
anywhere people swim , there will be rings that are lost...
