I love that Magna guns have sticky 3 and is great for tail cuts. Stun the switch to slicing , after the tail is cut switch to spread or pierce. Its more fun to use compared to Narga guns.

Just finished building the Sticky lbg set last night. Thankfully I had a reload speed + spare shot charm so I only needed to craft 2 spare shot decos instead of 3. Time to start farming.
I got a WEX 2, 3 slot today too, unfortunately my hair didn't grow back, i still have to go to work and my crush didn't text me back. Why talisman, why??
Spare shot on Mango Spread 3 synergizes really well with the Slicing and Stickies, and thanks to the level 2 slot I just barely fit both it and Ballistics 3 in with my Wex2 Atk 2 talisman. Only 65 affinity but you pew pew for days sometimes just like Puke breath. Its slowly becoming my most preferred Spread set
I really appreciate the no talisman builds, thanks. I have several 3-2-1 slot ones, but not with anything useful. I only have a single WEX1 with no slots :( (190 hours of play so far too, BOO) but it does mean I can make the no talisman version, then see what nice additions I can make from the talismans (men) I do have. So thanks for doing that, it's great. EDIT: I'm aware that any 3-2-1 talisman effectively can be WEX2 with a 1 slot :)
I feel like spare shot would be pretty amazing on both sets. SS is great for the stickies and slicing in magnamalo, while also boosting the spread dps for less reloads and makes other ammos in pukei viable, like slicing. I think you should atleast mention it in the skill priority list. But, I can see that if you add spare shot to the sets, they might be very similar to builds you've shown before. So thank you for this
They won’t be for both sets right now. For the Magnamalo HBG, you won’t be able to fit it at all unless you sacrifice some core skills. For the Pukeii HBG, 8 per clip is already too much - going for spareshot to further increase ammo per clip would not give you a “significant” attack boost. This is the spread approach for now. Maybe when we get good armor with good slots - there will be more room for spareshot but for now.. it’s not really good :)
@@AngBata11 yeah I agree with you. It's just that all the slice and sticky cheese in MH rise fried my brain and I can't process HBGs or LBGs that have the ammotypes but don't utilize them lol
Ballistics 2 only affects minimum critical distance which you don't need for spread ammo. Ballistics 3 is an entirely different skill changing your maximum critical distance, the part that makes spread much better. So go for 3 or none at all.
I would highly recommend using shield mod on a heavy bowgun, as it lets you tank pretty well. I have personally only bothered to use the Magnamalo one my self as it is more versatile. But personally I would have chosen spare shot over attack boost, as attack boost gives almost nothing. 1 Spare shoot trigger would win over the extra damage you get with 7 attack boost.
@@AngBata11 I think max skill value for a charm is 15 or 16, skill value being determined by level of slot and the level of decorations a skill would require. Basically if you get a charm of that value, it's a God charm.
totally - but dont force it - if you have a good talisman why not but if you don't... i feel like it's really expensive since you gotta build up ammo up 3 with at least slugger 2... mmm and spareshot too if you want to easily aim for a third K.O but yeah .. dunno

I give up on attack boost 4 cause for bullet nothing really change. My pukei build is 3crit boost, 3weak exploit 3spread up, 3ammo up, 3reload, 3recoil, 2 aim booster, 2flinch free and 1 evade extender
I have been a spread gunner in World for a long time. But for some reason i feel that some pellets miss half the time in rise. Either it be LBG or HBG. I feel you have to be in smooching distance with monster for all the pellets to hit even with mods.
2:25 magnamalo no talisman build deco list has to be wrong, none of those armors have wex and none from talisman so how else u get 3 wex without slotting 3 x tenderizer jewels??

well... you can just easily swap power barrel with shield - shield the fast attacks and the big attacks with a big wind-up are usually one hit rather than multiple hits - you can easily just block it with counter charge or counter shot :)

At least on pukei, you ended up not needing it, you get more damage by increasing damage per shot, then by increasing shots (you will already be reloading fairly rarely) And spare shot is only a 20% chance at level 3. Level 1 and 2 are rare enough to proc that it's really not worth it :( That being said,not you have an amazing spare shot talisman, and no weakness exploit talisman, you could still get some milage out of it (but I would use maganamalo HBG in this case)
guard up is for chip damage guard is for knock back in world knockback and chip damage was relying on one skill which is guard. Anyway, I’d really advise against going for a shield build.. if you have to.. eat for fighter to mitigate stamina loss from guarding instead of counting on guard and guard up. but i think the minimum is 3 guard and at least 1 guard up
I have a wex 2 with a 2 and a 1 slot. I guess I got lucky. I thought it was a shit charm since I was looking for the god charm. Almost re re rolled it.
Pukei already has 8 shots, and Magnamalo's build is focusing more on squeezing in Ballistics/Aim Booster with the power skills. Like Angbata said in his reply to you, it's just too costly as of 2.0 to squeeze in power skills + comfort skill 1 + comfort skill 2/3/etc all at once. Now with that said, if you wanted to go with a more mixed build with Spread/Slice/Crag ammo with Magna's HBG, then Spare Shot is definitely a good option. Spare Shot 3 is just too good with Slice and Crag ammo!
Imo, Spareshot on these badboys is kinda redundant since they have HUGE clip size already plus the reload speed at fastest only takes about a second, so, dps-wise, AB is the better choice.
Exact same name, just got to send your buddies out on submarines for specific items. If you look through the menu each item will say what it can give as a bonus, and dreamshell is one of the bonuses from honey and mushrooms etc.
Lol I don’t think you cheated for your talisman. I have a wex lv2, fortify lv1, with 3-1-0 slots that I got without cheating. I also have a wex lv2, attack lv2, with no slots.

I use the magnamalo HBG with a slicing set, 5 slicing per clip 300 charged damage for each shot in an enraged bezelgeuse

sure, long sword is cool, but shotgun blast to monster mouth is undeniable

The deciding factor for me is that one looks like a shotgun and the other looks like a .50 cal crossbow.
I'd still go with Magna gun probably. The dps only shines with the Pukei f your target is pretty much staying still. They're both still great.

Shrapnel was made for the rampages it isnt great on hunts because it was designed to hit multiple monsters at the same time not solo damage.
Spread UP skill boost damage on both Spread ammos and Shrapnel. So, it will work. But I would suggest you use it on Rampage quest.
