I have a 03 coupe 6 spd that I have bought months back for $1500…has a lifter tick so I’m thinking of completely rebuilding the motor but charging $5500…I’m about to just build her from the ground up and keep the g forever…had an automatic coupe but the 6 speed wayyyyy more fun and goes with a 2 door car imo…my son gonna want it or I got my classic car for the rest of my life…I’ma big fan of infiniti have a 06 fx35 as well
Oem air filter setup is way better than what you have going on. I have a pop charger too but with a heat shield and air tunnel cut through radiator support. Your actually gonna get hotter air intake temps with your existing setup. The oem would be much cooler and the setup I have with heat shield and air tunnel keeps it 5-8 degrees cooler while driving.
I would recommend purchasing a glowshift sandwich plate. I have it paired with the G plus oil cooler on my g35 and haven’t had any oil leaks ever since!
This might be a dumb question but I just bought a 05 g35 sedan. Before I deep dive in the channel are the couple and kinda similar even though it’s a coupe. I’m just wondering cause you made the videos super understanding.
So you find the oem connector that connects to your spec d’s, the oem connector holds the purple or green wire you’re looking for, from there you just splice into it and hook it up to your side marker. I should have done a bit more explaining but you may have to dig in their to find it if they’re tucked away under the headlight assembly!
Can a bad oil cooler seal cause all of the oil to drain at once? It happened to me after an oil change and replaced the oil filter. After a few days it's still leaking even though I legit lost 4.5 quarts of oil right there and then haha. I want to make sure that's the issue because before oil change no oil leaks, only from the valve cover gasket.
@JoeVazquez appreciate it boss. I fixed it! My 03' G35 didn't come with a license plate light. Any idea how to wire up an Alpena aftermarket license plate light? Only has a red and black wire. I was thinking black to ground on chassis and red on a wire that gives the tail lights power. But which wire?

Great question! I went with 5w30 because I really have no need to jump up to 5w40 as a daily, specially with an oil cooler! I’ve been using pennzoil on the car for a good while and haven’t found any issues because of it so just figured to keep using it!
@@JoeVazquez that makes a lot of sense! So without an oil cooler, is it better to run 5w40 to daily or just stick with the 5w30? Summer is coming here in so cal and it gets hot !

Just buy a used motor for 1500 with 50k miles, way cheaper!
I had a tick sound. Ended up being the timing chain guide rail. It's made from plastic, and gets in the way of the chain. Hence, the "TICK".

I would but I have sensors hooked up on the sandwich plate and the glow shift is just for an fittings from what I remember or else I would!

I have the sequential side markers too but I’ve been too lazy to splice it onto the headlight wires 😅 gotta get them on with the sped d’s asap

5w30 will do just fine if you’re gonna be driving it normally! 5w40 if you beat on it quite a bit
