As a "gate keeper" (hiring manager) I would imagine it was your lack of job experience coupled with the non traditional approach to college that prevented you from getting the job. Unless its an entry level position, A bachelors degree just checks a box in my eyes. Your previous job experience gives me an idea of how you'll perform in the role. Keep building your resume and your degree will pay off in the long run!

Having a degree at 18 yo is very impressive indeed, but don't think you're late if you get one at 20. I'm 27 and still haven't got one(tried multiple traditional colleges but always dropped out because I hated how long and slow it was), and I'm now looking at getting one from WGU only because having a degree would help me with my plans of getting a visa and living overseas.

I would say definitely your age has to do with how people react. People still have this idea that the amount of time you spend in the classroom is the most important factor. It won't always be that way. People take a long time to accept something new.

I have a bachelor's degree already in Criminal Justice from a University in my area, but I did an internship near the end of my degree and realized that the field of work wasn't for me. I applied to WGU and bc of my degree it transferred over all of the gen ed requirements so 30% of my degree is already done! Writing this for the benefit of anyone thinking of doing WGU at an advanced pace. This week I'll be finishing my BS in Supply Chain and Ops Management. I transferred in a general business AA that covered by general ed and basic business classes, so it was half way done, but I did the second half in 7 weeks.
    Strategy:
Objective assessments: take the pre-assessment, then learn what every single term means in that pre assessment. The key terms are constant, but questions aren't. One issue you may hit like I did is that sometimes the key terms covered on the pre assessment are different than the objective assessment. However, if you came in solid enough you'll still pass. If you absolutely bomb certain categories of the pre assessment, go into the course material and take unit and section quizzes to learn the info and key terms. Never assume you weak category will be covered by your strong ones.
Performance assessments: Just like the dude says, just break down the rubric. Cover every section completely, even if it seems blocky and silly sometimes. Personally, I'm good at papers, but there are also powerpoint and excel assessments. For each, it will still ask for in depth explanations of things, so I always wrote a paper and copied and pasted relevant sections into presenter notes.
Time: I work as a CDL yard driver, so I had some downtime and would do my pre assessments, studying key terms, and performance assessments at work. The I'd schedule the post assessments the next day.
FYI: If your goal is to achieve a massive depth of knowledge from scratch, WGU is not for you. If you want to promote in a field that you already have knowledge but not a degree in, WGU is for you. Personally, I found that I knew a lot of the material, but not all of it. In my case though, my best choice was to finish and promote quickly, but I will be going back and ordering books to deepen my knowledge of topics I scraped by in.

You'll have issues initially just because you're so young. It won't matter to a company if you have a masters at 16 if you don't have any experience. You don't really even know how to work the floor at McDonalds, much less will you know how to manage a company with an 87 day education. They will ask you questions about your life. Make lies up. Don't tell them you got a bachelors that fast. Tell them you started at 16 online, and it took you 2 years. Being this young it is not going to help you at all being so young. If you were 50 right now with a masters you'd look appropriate for a high up management position. They are not going to bring you in, this young unless you drop Harvard or Duke on your resume LOL. You are ahead though, just get your life experience out of the way.
It definitely is your age. You don't look right to fit into high up management roles lol. Think about it. Workers would walk out immediately if you walked in and became their boss. It just doesn't look right. Once you're 25-26 and have 6-7 years working with your dads company or your dads buddies business, you'll get picked up. I'd go immediately for your MBA though. You never know when you might want to apply for the FBI or something badass in the government, and most require a bachelors or higher. You can get a Job right now at 21 as an FBI agent, you have the bachelors, and if you had a masters you'd be ahead of all other applicants. They don't more so care about your degree or where it's from. They are basing your age off these positions and in a corporate setting, no it isn't going to look normal.
I've heard WGU will transfer as a 3.0, maybe bang out or LSAT 160+ and go to law school. You'd be 22 as a lawyer, that'd be legit.

You just take more classes than and max out classes each semester at traditional uni and do summers. haha this bro actually said "I got a 4 year degree in 3 months". NO sorry you did not. What you got was a 3 month introduction and a piece of paper from a place telling you that you got a degree. You 100% DID NOT get a degree even if they said you did. Besides anyone who has obtained a legit degree knows that getting a degree is not about having the piece of paper, it's the actual knowledge you obtain from getting that degree and the evolution of your mind, body and spirit of having gone through the process to get a 4 year degree. You're simply trying to short cut the learning process and that cannot be done.
I say this as someone with an actual 4 year Comp Sci degree from a major university where the program is actually ABET accredited and I was on the President's Honor Roll (4.0/4.0) for 4 semesters and the Dean's Honor Roll (3.50+/4.0) for all other semesters I was eligible. I never scored below a B in any class and graduated with a cumulative 3.84/4.00 GPA.
