I’m having the same problem. And on high speed the bearing is making very loud noise. Vitamix should comment. It’s supposed to last 10 yrs or more.

Mine leaks too. When I took my blade assembly out, I found three hairline cracks in the bottom of the container. Inspect carefully as I didn't notice them at first.

Same problem here with kitchen artisan blender. Purchased 3 jars in last 5 years as there’s no fix to this problem. Any luck with yours?

Only way to fix this is by wrapping teflon around the blade hole(wich can damage your motor) or using a rubber seal

We've had one of these blenders for 6 or 7 years now. We are on our 4th jug, and again it's leaking, but our leak is VERY dramatic, it's basically POURING out the bottom. I can see that a rubber seal is chewed up looking. I'm frustrated that it will cost me nearly $100 AUD to replace the stupid thing again. I hope you were able to fix yours!

I'm on my 3rd jug in as many years ...ridiculous issue that should be redesigned to last

I am having a similar issue. My Klarstein mixer is leaking a very dark brown liquid from the bottom. I am disappointed with the quality of the product, considering its high price. It is unfortunate that such an expensive blender would break down so quickly, resulting in a waste of money.

The problem is that the part the bearings fit into starts rusting and leaking very quickly. We have the same problem with ours. Trying to get a replacement part from Froothie is impossible. They have taken nine months to get back to us, with many excuses in between. Their customer service is a guy at home who sounds like he just rolled out of bed, and he simply says "hello" when he answers the phone. The part is on back order on their website. They offered us a 10 euro discount on a model 9200 set of blades. You can replace the bearings yourself. They are very inexpensive. Just look up videos on how to fix a Vitamix blade on TH-cam. The problem with the Optimum is that the part the bearings fit into rusts very easily. So they're basically just poor quality parts. Perhaps a Vitamix blade (5200 model) will fit the machine, but I'm not sure. I will not be buying another one of their appliances. You end up paying a lot more in the long run in replacement parts, and you can't use your machine for long periods of time.

Have the same problem ....had 3 Optimum blenders now ...the first 2 the blades got stress fatigue and broke off in the jug. Froothie UK sent out for an extra £50 a different model blender the 9200a and the cog / bearings are going rusty ....cheap Chinese parts! Should be all stainless steel and not rust ....you're not supposed to submerge the base of the jug in water or a dishwasher but to be honest that's just a poor design flaw.... terrible!

I would contact froothie AU. I didn't have much luck with froothie US (were I'm from).
The rust seems like it's coming from the assembly. I would guess a bad seal, soon to be a bad bearing. You can find cheap replacements on e-bay (vitamix 5200 will fit), but they are just that.....cheap (junk)
