    As a relative beginner (1 year) this is brilliant what blender 4 should have included. They should buy this system from you and incorporate it into the next release. Easier that Maya.

    Thank you, that looks really incredible. Maybe a stupid question, but can you maybe tell me where I can set the length of the added hair? I thought that will be taken over by the Groom01_Part01_Hair Generator.

    • @iraklikupunia
      @iraklikupunia  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! Actually it is a good question. You can't do that at the moment. If you add the hairs to the hair object using the density brush directly, you will not be able to change it's length.
      I was thinking, that we can add some kind of grow/shrink node to the system.
      It is now on my to-do list.

    hey there, just got the addon and love it. wondering if it needs to be rendered in cycles to get the effect "real" effect or if it can be done in eevee as well

    • @iraklikupunia
      @iraklikupunia  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for you feedback!
      I would say you could definitely achieve the realistic hair look in some Eevee scenes, but it is definitely easier to do it in Cycles.

    • @iraklikupunia
      @iraklikupunia  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No there is no such function that will convert the existing groom to Medusa Nodes' groom, not at this point. It requires some manual steps in the node editor.
      This option is on the To-do list.

      Yes, you can check this post out, there is a video in it where I add a collection with the curves in it to Generator node of the Guide object:

    Is it possible to select a single Guide Particle? It's difficult to try sculpting multiple guides since one move will move all overlapping guides.

    • @iraklikupunia
      @iraklikupunia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I would use the Selection Paint brush for that.
      It is the first one in the toolbar if you are in the sculpt mode on the Guide hair object.
      The brush makes it is easier to isolate painted guides.

    • @knackepizza2480
      @knackepizza2480 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@iraklikupunia Thats amazing! In my viewport, I do not see Guides as blue like in your video. They are red, and selected guides are like 1% darker, so its difficult to see guides through hair as well as difficult to see which guides are selected. Is it possible to change Guide color or make Guides visible through hair?

    • @iraklikupunia
      @iraklikupunia  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@knackepizza2480 something is probably messed up with your Guide hair object.
      But yes you can still change the color by selecting the Guide object's Material and searching for the Viewport Display panel in the Properties Editor.
      There you will find the Color parameter.

      @@iraklikupunia Wow you are AMAZING for responding so fast. This plugin is amazing. At some point could you do a tutorial on long hair or braids? I'd believe that you would know an optimal way to make those, since I'm basing long hair off your short hair video

    In this video at 10 o'clock, the hair set at the beginning is applied well in the guide. However, I'm following the tutorial, and the hair I set at the beginning doesn't apply to the guide, and if I add a guide, I'll add a hair that's too long, not the hair I set at the beginning.
    Isn't there a solution?

    • @iraklikupunia
      @iraklikupunia  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not sure what exactly the problem is in your case.
      You have to disable "Generate" option on the Generator of the Guide Curves object first.

    Really awesome! I've been wanting something like this to be in Blender for a while now, Blender hair particle system and even the curves now are not really comparable to xgen and this seems to up the game quite a bit
