Great Video! I was a big PTCG fan before I found Snap, it's so cool to see Azul again. If you get the chance, please try to get Andrew Mahone on the show, he's such an awesome, positive person!
The problem with snap monetization is that a experienced player like Azul would have to passively build his collection over 12 months before getting to the "real" game. Modest cost with a time sink... Or spend a comically large amount of money.
This series is awesome! Thanks for keeping up the great content! One small note I realised is that you haven’t mentioned that players start with 3 cards for a while now, which I think was relevant for a few cards in the MTG commander queen episode.
i don’t know if KM will see this but hear me out: what if you brought back all of these guests and had them play against each other in a mini tourney? it would be super cool to see how they face off against each other with the knowledge from these videos! (they might need to borrow someone’s account tho 😂)
@@KMBestInASnap that makes sense but regardless this series is probably my favorite snap content out there right now and i appreciate all of your hard work 🙏
Always excited to see new one of these videos drop! It would be cool if you could get Day9 to do one of these. He played Snap in the early days, but pretty sure hasn't played in well over a year at this point.
Something that always stands out to me in those videos is that other card games' players overestimate the importance of tempo in marvel snap. An uncontested 1 drop in hs/magic/ptcg attacks 6 times over 6 turns and can directly impact your opponent's board. An uncontested 1 drop in snap is worth 2~3 points whether it's played on turn 1 or turn 6.
About the low level / high level play disconnect I wonder if they could use the Infinite Rank as a game changing feature. Like you pass infinite, and they go : "we know you're a decent player, you won't mind if we change your cards a bit right ?" and then boom, Infinite only patching, only for this mode. This way you have two ladders. The common one until Infinite, and then the one made for the high level players. That would mean doubling a lot of things for Second Dinner though ( analytics, QA, QC etc ) but maybe it's simpler to have to balance what is basically two game modes, rather than one where everybody is displeased.
Azul didn’t even bring up his podcast, he hosts a podcast with commentator Chip Richey called Uncommon Energy (available on youtube, spotify, and apple pods) where they cover tournament results, predictions for future events, new cards, and other community news. I’ve qualified for Worlds 3 times in PTCG and still find it a helpful resource.
It's not *that* bad if you just wanna play casually, and by casually I mean all the way up to Infinite Conquest which for most players is the top of the content. You won't have every card in the game but you can definitely have a lot of fun even f2p. They were specifically talking about being competitive in it. Card acquisition is still miserable but it's not bad enough to prevent you from playing the game.
There have been pro players from other games that came over and were still highly competitive with decks I would call trash. Card acquisition isn’t great but you can overcome that with great play.
Finally brought Azul to the show, please bring more Pokemon creators, maybe Tricky Gym(Andrew Mahone) or LittleDarkFury. And please consider doing the opposite, as a card games fan that mainly plays Pokemon there isnt a lot of Pokemon card ratings out there, so please rate some!
Ya know I never thought about using Jean as a straight tech card. Turn 5 make them play in their weakest lane and play a deck that holds priority well early. Could be an interesting surprise include.
KMBanger of an episode as always. They didn't nerf Thanos enough to make it a bad deck..it just makes it more towards the big midrange style that I've personally been playing for weeks. I still say the Thanos tech everyone sleeps on is Gladiator...big but dodges Shang Chi is a super power on its own, plus if you draw out their huge thing you now have the ability to use shang chi early and still keep pumping big stuff behind it. I found vs most matches I could never use Shang Chi because they didn't play big enough stuff early enough. Either I had priority so I couldn't Shang or it was just better for me to Blob or Magneto than it was to shang....Gladiator solves all that.
I think KM was talking more general use 1-2s. X-23, black knight and quinjet are all very good but synergy dependent. Only nico doesn't require specific synergies to be good despite being present in a lot of heavily synergistic decks. Iceman would be the next best example of a good 1-2 with upside.
I dont think it's totally fair to call black knight a 1/2 with upside when the upside is just a bunch of above rate power. It's less a 1/2, and more a 5/22.
Most players are looking for consistency, which is funny. Marvel snap, consistency isn't as important, because retreat/snap mechanic. Strong turn 6 is probably the most important for cube gains.
Please try to get Fry Em Up for the series. He's the most well known player of PVZ Heroes. He tried the game once on lunch so he knows the basics of the game
@KMBestInASnap u know. Thats fair. U have to know ppl with limited knowledge of snap or its not fun. Fair point. Just know how enjoyable these are to watch then. If it was possible to do 7 a week I'd watch em all. And im a 34 year old dad lol. I watch with my daughter
Don’t worry KM, they nerfed. It went from the best deck in the game, to the best deck in the game. I would love to do this as the National Champ for my own tcg, but I actively play and follow snap, so idk if that works.
Ehh cerebro can be a meme deck yes, but I think more accurately it’s a deck that wants to be great but has too much going against it by definition and interactions
The comment about 1/2 is so wrong, in destroy itself there are X-23 and Nico proving him wrong, then there is Black Knight with its own deck and Misty Knight in every HE deck ever. And on the playable side there is Korg that was amazing until recently, Ice-man that is kinda forgotten now but still great, Nightcrawler that is in and out of the meta, Quinjet and Snowguard being Loki staples, and I would also say Echo which is meta dependent but not a bad card at all.
I’m here to support KM regardless but unlike everyone else, I’m struggling to find value in someone not from Snap, guessing more or less wrong about Snap 😅😓 maybe it’s just for fun plain and simple
Aha Mr. Best, if that is your real name, how are you playing the mindstone on one now that it has been nerfed? Again your inabilty to look into tge future made you vunarable to pedantic nerds!
Gonna keep petitioning for Magik in this series. You tell them it's a 6 turn game and show a card that adds a turn :P
Every single guest on this series has been amazing to listen to. Thanks so much for continuing
lol poor angel, almost tailor-made for one of the only decks that plays 1/2s with upside and he still isn't close compared to X23 and Nico.
If he was not a 1 drop that killmonger kills too. Maybe a 2 energy with 3 power
This is my favourite series in the channel. I love seeing the guest's thoughts and their reaction, as well as yours to that statement. Keep it up :)

PTCG is my game so obviously know who Azul is. Really keen to watch this.

i know this would be hard to organize but all of these guests have been such great personalities, i especially loved the mtg commander queen
think this might be borderline impossible lol
@@KMBestInASnap that makes sense but regardless this series is probably my favorite snap content out there right now and i appreciate all of your hard work 🙏
Yoo! Another Pokemon TCG player! Love seeing it. Azul really hit on a lot of good insights. Now we just need the VGC side 👀
Lol not VGC but Mogwai started w Pokémon singles and draft league content
Always excited to see new one of these videos drop!
It would be cool if you could get Day9 to do one of these. He played Snap in the early days, but pretty sure hasn't played in well over a year at this point.
THIS COLLAB IS AMAZING. had to jump out of bed for this one
no need, i’m about to get in bed and watch 😂
Wtf
Oh shyt. Im in the toilet watching.

Love to see Azul apply his knowledge outside of Pokémon. He is a card playing genius 😅
I really enjoy this series. Keep it up!
love the series! PTCG is such a fun game, and I loved the insight from AzulGG
Ngl AzulGGs tag becomes exponentially cooler once you realize that’s also his legal name

24:42 our guy considered power creep to gauge power level 😂

I installed snap while watching the video. Made it to the last 2 minutes and was like, damn 😢...😂😂
hahahaha
It's not *that* bad if you just wanna play casually, and by casually I mean all the way up to Infinite Conquest which for most players is the top of the content. Please, for the love of god, get Day9 to do this. Hes so funny and it would be an actual blast.
i love day9 lol
@@KMBestInASnap YES!! He just reviewed HS cards after not playing for 5 years and I laughed more than I have in a looong time.
W Collab, new to snap but been around Pokemon for years. Azul knows whats up.
Love the series. Favorite marvel snap content creator by far!!!!!
I am glad you are now showing the vanilla stats to the guest
Azul is very good at these type of things. I think OGH was your best so far in entertainment factor but Azul was definitely the most accurate
Azul has always been one of my favorite Pokemon players to watch.

I don't play snap anymore (it was doing bad things to my free time and mental health), but these are still super entertaining
Killmonger gives me ptsd so I never used 1 drop decks anymore. I lost so many early games because of him.

This is suck a great series, I’m looking forward to your next guest👍
Love this serries, the guests are always top tier
Brilliant video idea. I’m a azul fan and almost never played Marvel Snip, but I really enjoyed this video.
So KM from one week in the past, since you're asking, we're still debating on whether or not they did good in regards to taking Thanos down a peg.
Mind stone got nerfed 😮
7:02 there’s actually around 4 good 1-2s with upside in good decks Nico, X-23, Black knight, and Quinjet.
I think KM was talking more general use 1-2s. X-23, black knight and quinjet are all very good but synergy dependent. Only nico doesn't require specific synergies to be good despite being present in a lot of heavily synergistic decks. Iceman would be the next best example of a good 1-2 with upside.

Also to past KM, they nerfed Thanos. it wasn't enough.
yooo we got Azul in here? lets goooooo
best series

I love azul so I am so happy to see this
Thoughts on Jean Grey be a 3/2 and be only your opponent?
Best Snap series in the business
Came from Pokemon TCG prior to Snap and this collaboration has me *so* excited 🥹😍
Please try to get Fry Em Up for the series. He's the most well known player of PVZ Heroes. He tried the game once on lunch so he knows the basics of the game
Yeah agreed FryEmUp should be brought!
What does the like goal have to be to get 2 of these per week like Monday Friday or something
lmao im pretty sure its "i need to know more people"
@KMBestInASnap u know. Thats fair. U have to know ppl with limited knowledge of snap or its not fun. Fair point. Just know how enjoyable these are to watch then. If it was possible to do 7 a week I'd watch em all. And im a 34 year old dad lol. I watch with my daughter
32:44 i'm pretty sure magneto pulls by order of played....?
Some of the 1 cost cards are good 😢 like sunspot, nebula and deadpool 😊
Isn’t Hell Cow good now?
Don’t worry KM, they nerfed. It went from the best deck in the game, to the best deck in the game.

Never before has a guest been so consistently deeply wrong whilst remaining thoroughly entertaining
for the first time in my long standing youtube career I am here to say one thing, and one thing only...First.
You should do This with rarran
Let's goooo

Can we just change Thanos to say, At start of game shuffle the stones into your deck. These stones count as starting in you deck?
Saying that all 1 costs are bad when deadpool exists is CRAZY
Or Nico too
I’m here to support KM regardless but unlike everyone else, I’m struggling to find value in someone not from Snap, guessing more or less wrong about Snap 😅😓 maybe it’s just for fun plain and simple
Pokémon lol
HELL COW IS NOT BAD, at least not in discard decks which is her home, sinerely an Apoc/Morb player
They did NOT do something good with Thanos....
Aha Mr. Best, if that is your real name, how are you playing the mindstone on one now that it has been nerfed? Again your inabilty to look into tge future made you vunarable to pedantic nerds!
