What a great era of racing to witness, I had the fortunate past of practicing/watching with these boys, I am a couple years older placing me in a older age group class on minis at the amateur nationals (mosier valley, lake Whitney,Ponca city, Loretta) Alessi dominated everything as a youngster rider he had a career before it was his career, I remember Dungey always placing top 3-5 and he eventually became one of the best riders the sport had to offer, I loved these times and can go on for days

Tell me everything about moto, aside from the riders progressing, hasnt gone seriously downhill. Everything from the production, tracks on the circuit, tracks themselves lacking the gnarly jump sections etc. Idk what happened(Davey combs) but even watching it on tv, its like if it isnt a shitty drone shot its some split screen constantly ahowing irrevelent shots. Instead of just being able to watch the race theres 3 guys in the booth & then every 5 minutes they have to go to 1 of multiple different other announcers at track side who are gonna tell us jet has switched from donuts to frosted flakes for his weekly diet to see it can shave any time of his lap times. It makes it less about the actual racing and its hard to block them out because its like they mute all the sound coming from the track so all you can hear is them blabber. Never thought id find myself complaining about the one thing in life that brings me ultimate joy, but somthing is going on where we've seriously went backwards from these races almost 10yrs ago.

Congratulations again Alessi, that was so awesome, but Dungey I didnt feel good for him after finished.

These bikes are all still really loud for being fuel injected.

What sucks is, is that even if they were to put this track back on the circuit combs would never let them make the jumps so big & track so gnarly.

I've never fully appreciated Bayle because of his clean and relaxed style, tremendously effective but not very spectacular. Without a doubt, however, he was often superior to everyone.

Bradshaw the fastest rider to never win a titleb besides 125 he was braining Stanton and all other factory riders for years in supercross but his young 🧠 didn't alow it to happen. Here riding an Enduro bike WR500 factory bike Na definitely not pretty much old school YZ490.. old school community I wonder how he fell down well dude if you ever rode you would know

JMB as well as David Bailey. Always made going fast looks so easy. There were a lot of fast guys in those days. And you could see the hard work that they were doing. But when you saw David Bailey or JMB go bye they seem so relaxed. Made motocross look easy!!!

JMB his ability to read the race track was like now another. He could find lines that nobody else even thought of. And also he wouldn’t use those lines until he needed them for a pass. He gave nothing away. Like you saw. Jeff Ward never saw him coming. And of course Jeff Ward was one of the best in the world at the time. No disrespect to Jeff

My first national to watch was broom tioga. These guys were all in box vans. Staton and Bayle in separate one. Watching ezcka lusk doing the Carmichael triple. We raced District 34. Great memories
