    Put moss on hard objects they can fall and crack their shell.

    Just so you know, you arent meant to put pill bugs straight into your tank from outside because they can carry stuff, also you need quite a few for them to be actually effective at cleaning up any messes your snail leaves.

      @Danny.G  3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Yeah that wasn’t my brightest idea, I work in research so for me it’s like an experiment. So far that single isopod has colonized and everything seems to be doing okay. Also the supplemental snail food helps with worms and overall snail health, so I was hoping it would compensate for my impulsive pill bug colony haha

    Pretty sure the small bug you thought was a baby isopod is actually a “springtail”, they are super common outside and probably hitched a ride on your isopod or your hands (or maybe the moss when you fist out it in) but either way they are also a great clean-up crew member and will burrow in the dirt more than isopods do! Also if you can get a few more isopods, they are really awesome critters to watch, come in lots of colors and will be awesome cleanup crew, they also self regulate their population so you don’t have to worry if they reproduce since they’ll never outgrow the terrarium you have.

    Awww I love this! My 4-year-old wants a snail pet! Please make more snail videos, like what you feed them and how you clean the terrarium and whatnot. Just some ideas. Thank you!! ❤️

    The plant u got from the garden place on Etsy is healthy, just needs to be repotted! It’s huge for that size of pot so if it’s wilting randomly and putting out yellow leaves that’s probably why!

    • @zahwazahira3305
      @zahwazahira3305 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      just make sure the bowl isn't too small! since snails actually crawl a lot

    • @Danny.G
      @Danny.G  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      For a cheaper alternative you can use a food safe container, just make sure there’s air holes. Maybe, if the bowl is big enough and you have a vented lid. Snails will crawl out without one, they’re escape artists!
