Your test ride down Wildwood road over the "new" concrete bridge put in during Covid interesting as the old wooden bridge with 2 centre raised strips for wheel tracks was pretty hairy in the wet if you came in too hot, trust me I know.

Hi THT. great to meet you as well. You got a very nice classic 500. With the DesertX I was parked at the Martin Dillon Reserve on Wildwood RD. They are still doing road works there after the floods. Regards FPPete.
Great review Pete, only thing that gets a thumbs down on the bike is the back end of it... little pipe pillion grip, no back rack... that could of been a better design for the DesertX ... but it's still a cool looking bike.
Excellent run down Pete of the DesertX, the proof will be once on the dirt. Should be interesting with all the tech and rider modes. What I love about the T7 ( Kiss) it’s not over complicated and does the job outstandingly. I am sure the Duke rider will hold up the rest of the rider group trying to work what mode to be in. We need to remember it is about the ride not the tech. Looking forward to your next model run down. HWY

Think you'll have to sell the tenere Pete. Just on looks alone. Next the Aprilia Tuareg for a test ride. From what I've seen on you tube with the pros riding that's the bike. Ha, mainly because of filter changes and owner servicing and no " dealer BS requirements" with the Ducati but what a great bike. Shame you couldn't get it dirty. Cheers Pete.

Hi Pete, sorry I don't like the bike, the screen looks like a mobile phone and the way the chain comes through the swing arm, can see a twig or stone getting stuck in there, that water pump really needs a bash plate, having said that great video and looking forward to seeing more of your review and ride videos.
Hi Charlie. I have spoken to the Ducati dealership, and they said you can do it yourself or take the bike to another motorcycle workshop, however to get the service icon removed from the screen, only a ducati dealer can do that. So yes a bit annoying. Thanks heaps for your comment. Regards FPPete.

Why would you buy an Adventure bike that you can't change the oil or air filter with out taking in for that service?

Hi ETG, As far as I'm aware, No oil cooler, The bike is Liquid Cooled, so it would not require an oil cooler. regards FPP.
