The hole in the wall thing...I reckon it's where they had a small fire and the heat/hot air would flow in the cavity between the two layers of bricks and hear up the bricks. Fruit would've grown on the wall where it would've benefited from that warmth generated. Well, a possibility! Take care

If its owt like dales, lots of dry stone walls have holes in the bottom, usually covered, to move sheep from field to field. That looks a bit small for that though. But maybe.
So the holes in the estate wall is to allow wildlife in and out.....love all your videos and we can't wait to try some of the trails out.👍

They recently spent a fortune and about 2 years apparently re painting it to it's original colour...

Maybe for smaller wild life but to keep deer in?
Educated guess for holes in wall would be for wildlife highway.
