I kinda like this look for 2099, it's very Batman Beyond / Justice League TAS with the big chest, skinny legs and small feet. The lack of any accessories is really disappointing as a Miguel unmasked head or a little Lyla hologram in his hand would have been good additions to justify the lack of BAF and ever increasing Legend prices. I'll still be grabbing one as he's the best of all Spider-Men. Great review MCU, looking forward to seeing Jessica Drew & Spider Punk!

Collectors are weird, how do you suggest they paint the logo underneath? Sure miles' is just 2 lines, they can do it. But 2099 has a skull on his chest.
The thing about marvel legends is they’re action figures, but also collectibles. This wave looks like toys, though. It sounds the same but it’s much different. These look like $10 toys, not $30 collectibles

Maybe some ppl will kill me but the basic toy line, I mean the ones who just Can flex the elbows and legs, have better details (at least the spider man 2099, who it’s the one I have), cus he has texture and pattern in aaaaaaaall the body 👌💕
I really want to love and support this line. I want more unique and appropriately styled sculpts like a possible earth's mightiest heroes line. But there's just something missing. I domt know if it's accessories or overall execution but just so fair these aren't doing it for me. Especially since I love 2099.
The stylized figures are a fun idea, but the execution (and QC) on this guy and Miles won't have me racing out for this wave. (Fingers crossed for the deluxe cyborg Spidey that I've seen pictures of online.)
Saw a handful of these at Target and they all had bad paint on the front. Inconsistent paint that showed big gaping white spots on the chest of each figure. Really sets my negative feelings in.
I really appreciate how stylized the wave is. These should be. 2099 looks like it's getting there but it comes off as a budget figure. The sculpt generally is not the problem. It's really the torso for me that lets it down. It's so large and yet it has basic articulation. No butterfly joints. No double ball joint torso. No articulated neck. The trailer makes him look like a predator. Someone who will run you down on all fours. There's always a way to avoid breaking up the patterns/logos. But it might mess with accuracy. Did the bottom legs of the spider really need to make it to the top of the thighs? I really want to see what Figuarts, Mafex, and Sentinel do. I feel they will take the design much further then where Hasbro was willing to go.

I thought this was going to be the 🏆of the wave. But now that I see hascrap mucked up the torso engineering I've changed my mind. My life and all life is now over ☠️
I’ve had a couple legends with that bicep issue. My RYV Spidey had that issue. I heated and popped the arm off, there was a tiny bit of extra plastic on the peg preventing it from popping in properly.
I think something that hurts this wave is the fact that Figuarts is also doing ATSV figures that look way more accurate, come with better accessories and they overall just look way better. I would buy this, but I know Figuarts has a 2099 they’ve yet to reveal, so I’m patiently waiting for that over this.

This makes me wish Marvel Legends would produce Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes styled figures like DC included Justice League Unlimited designs in their figure line.
I came back to this after the recent Trailer #2 and his proportions are all messed up. The shoulders are too high and way too wide. The whole torso is just a mess. Maybe it was an early concept art issue.
Probably pick him up on inevitable sale. Lots of places have been sitting on this product for a while since the movie release was delayed, multiple times even IIRC.
I'm to worried about the qc on 2099 but I am excited for the rest of the figures I like his design and the packaging but I'll probably only get the new peter b parker because I missed out on the first one and maybe spider punk

I hate to sound like this and I love Spider-Man 2099. I know this is based off a movie but shit man this looks so cheaply made that it feels disrespectful as hell. Almost like they are trolling us. Hard pass on this figure. Hasbro giving us happy meal figures smh. That’s why I been going down the 3rd party rabbit hole a little more pricey but you get the figure you deserve.
Honestly, this figure sucks. Hasbro knows better. But they cheaped out for this line. Anytime you have a chunkier "Dorito-shaped" muscle body style you need simple butterfly joints, lower neck articulation, and a way better ab crunch. Otherwise this is just a chunk of barely moving plastic. Also a huge shame the arm on yours is falling off. I appreciate when reviewers hold a company accountable for their toy that has gone from $19 to nearly $30 in the past couple years. The same is to be said for the Lightning Collection power ranger line. I have stopped collecting them due to awful QC, joints loose and falling off, and articulation that is featured but doesn't even work. Hasbro is really not cutting it lately.

This entire wave is a dropped ball, in my opinion. Hasbro easily could have displayed the iconic style of Spider-Verse, while also not appearing cheap. These figures are not appealing at all,and design effort seems lazy.

i just pulled hard on his web cape and it came off so now i can take it on and off

These all look insanely cheap. I kinda like the design on Miles but the articulation absolutely ruins it for me. Gonna have to pass on all of them
