Another interesting video and clearly shows the dangers of all the collapse. Looking forward to watching the next video and hope you all got out safely.
Thankyou, I had intended too, I expected him to still be putting them in when I got back from looking at the shaft, but he had already climbed lol. Last part up tomorrow :)
Awesome. These workings look very similar to the workings we explored Thursday and Friday on our first expedition outside of Wales. The arched tunnels with the ore chutes were spectacular and the artefacts, wow
Thanks, they are actually not too far from where you went, same ore field, which is why they use stone arching instead of wood instead of it's scarcity. If you arrange another trip up here, I can take you around them :)
Beautiful entrance this could be interesting! Love the blue suit Gary, very nice for now. Hello George! Nice random bucket like that. Very claustrophobic in there Steve bit of a squeeze in places. You have to be careful of those shafts 😱 oh can't wait for part 2! 😮❤❤❤❤❤👍
That wasn't my first thought when I first saw that entrance years ago lol. Yes, we have a tradition that if you pick up a bucket with a hole in it, you have to sing the song lol, you'll see that in part 2. Been a bit of a mammoth edit for part 2, but just finished.
Always fascinated with the stone work and arching were the miners adept at doing that work or were masons brought in to do it? 🤷♂️ Nice vid ! As usual awaiting the next vid 😆 especially part 2 of this one ☝️ ✌️🤙
Thanks, yes, it was its own trade. Stone was used in the area due to lack of wood which made wood very expensive. Some of the mines imported wood from America for the hoppers due to it's characteristics.
What a narrow and rotten entry tunnel! What are you using to film? The video it's really bright for that dark mine, or maybe it's just that you have a powerful light set 🤔
@@UKAbandonedMineExplores Wow! There is some serious light involved, i initially believed it was an action cam like the a GoPro, not a phone haha Have you ever tried using an action cam? Or mabye they don't perform well as the iphone in these environments?
@@iRicercatoriPazziused to use a GoPro 11 but the camera is more light sensitive, more stable and produced better colours. Also doesn’t freeze all the time lol
Well that entrance certainly has character😂 Can’t wait for part 2!
Lol, thanks, yes, it's.....interesting.
Happy new caving suit Gary! I hope it stays nice (and is easily cleaned!)
It won’t ;)
Very nice explore and thanks for taking us along
Hope Gary wasn't feeling too blue after getting his new suit dirty 👍
I'm sure he will get over it ;)

Glad you enjoyed it. You'll find out :)
I can't believe you guys are going to climb that dangling ladder. You're much braver than I am. Thanks for these videos.
It's not the dangling ladder we have to worry about, that comes later ;)
Happy new Caving suit Gary 😂
Fantastic video. You should have shown a little more of the wedges being put in place and then being climbed. 👍

Fantastic mine
Thankyou, more to come from it as much more to see
Oh I hope you got into the working stopes Matey great video
You shall see next week. Thanks Keith :)

@@UKAbandonedMineExplores thank you very much, we will definitely be making more trips in the future. And likewise with mines here👊

That start entrance...F#£k that!!!
That’s what I said the first time I saw it lol.
Nice one.
Thanks :)

Yes, it's not nice. Use an iPhone 15 pro max to record and it's a diver's flood torch that does lighting duties :)

@@UKAbandonedMineExplores Oh, thanks for your experience shared and the quick reply!! Happy future explorations! 🔦🦇
Thank.
Your welcome :)
were you safe in there?
No, absolutely not, it's under constant threat of collapse and has caused issues in the past :)
