- I figured a way to use my wood pellets from my Green Mountain Davy Crockett grill as fuel for the Redcamp Wood Stove. That way, I can use it on quick bike trips and when I go to my favorite places with the Mrs. without looking for wood and it makes a good fire for a small campfire.
Great idea!!
You can also fit a solo stove Mesa inside of there for the pellets.
I have owned a Chinese stove exactly like this a few years ago and I love it… I also use wood pellets, bit I just had cut a square from an old cookie pan, drilled about 10 holes smaller than the pellets diameter and it works great as a base inside the stove…plus it is flat so it slides nicely inside the stove when folded
Easy way to fire up the pellets is get you some hand sanitizer gel and squirt it on the top of the pellets. Catches fire quickly.
I was just thinking about buying me one of theses wood burning portable stoves/ grill. Then i seen your video. I have the little portable camping alcohol stoves, that cooks on 70-90 % alcohol or denatured alcohol. I brought several of them from Ebay and Amazon. Temu has them as well. Different models and different prices. They are really affordable and very nice. I have the foldable camping stoves which takes the alcohol jel cans that's use at events and parties to heat up foods and to keep them warm . Thoses are great as well. Nice video.
The alcohol canisters are a really good option too with these stoves. I should show a quick video with them too :-)
@@acesdoggieinn557 yes, you should show them. Some people never seen or heard of them before. Shown
the different options alcohol stoves as well that they have.
Great idea with the pot inside how did the shifter hold up
@rolandrhodes1559 It actually held up very well! I like the fact that it cost $2.99 at a dollar store. I figure I can line the screen on the bottom or create a different method when it wears out.
I going to try that out next week going camping for Christmas about 10 days gonna use pellets and sticks, charcoal try different stuff
Do you think Stereo cooking fuel would work in the stove somehow?
I do not see why it would not work. The distance from the flame to the grate is perfect for a sterno can.
