    To improve the sound out the ear speaker, you have to go to Accessibility, Hearing Enhancement, and enable Mono Audio. That'll allow the top speaker to output sound at the same level of the bottom speaker, giving you a louder sound.

    Been wanting to see these two colors side by side. I prefer the glossier back of the Pixel in a dark color like this, but wish the Pixel was designed more like the S22 and S22 Plus (not Ultra). I do wish both phones were more of a graphite than a black though.

  • @a.m.2368

    I have the S22U and the P6P, and to my eyes the Pixel main camera is far better than the Galaxy when it comes to point and shoot. The processing on the Galaxy is disappointing. Oversharpened, chromatic aberrations, particularly in photos involving the sky, slow shutter speed which leads to blur. The Pixel camera processing just gets it right 99% of the time.

    I've never understood why many people make such a big deal out of build quality and the aesthetics of the phone, when most people are just going to immediately throw a flagship in a case. I don't think I've seen the actual outside of my phone for more than 30 minutes in 6 years.

    I just got the s22 ultra. Chose the green color although an argument can be made that it looks blueish in certain lighting. I definitely prefer the matte finish on the back of the Samsung devices. But I wish Samsung would go away from using the curved edge display. It makes getting cases a much harder task as the screen protectors that used to be built in by manufacturers are no longer making that accommodation. It's another expense that you have to consider when getting their flagship devices.

  • @BlaqMambaX
    @BlaqMambaX ปีที่แล้ว +6

    The cameras on these high end phones are all good enough. It just comes down to nitpicking in side by side comparisons. I'd be good with either as a primary camera that I occasionally talk on.

  • @jerrywu615
    @jerrywu615 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    imo as far as the camera hardware goes, sensor size matters just as much, if not more than resolution. A small 108 MP sensor is no better than a large 50 MP one. I feel like it'd be a lot better if reviewers include sensor size at least as a spec when talking about cameras...especially as companies start to cram in high megapixel (but small) sensors into midrange phones just to say they have the numbers.

  • @jonasfermefors
    @jonasfermefors ปีที่แล้ว +24

    I've always disliked the Samsung overlay and hated all the bloatware they put on the phone (and often even block me from uninstalling). My current phone is my first Pixel and I'm so much happier with it than the Galaxy I had before it.
    I prefer the matte black of the Galaxy, but I really like the camera bar on the Pixel so they are tied on design for me, but I'm always going to put a cover on it, so it doesn't really matter that much.
    I really don't like the curved display edges on both these phones. I hope that trend goes away pronto. I think I'm getting the Pixel 7 instead of the pro.. I just wish it had the same camera setup as the pro but I'll just have to live without the telephoto lens.

      I was tired, too, that why i went for the pixel 7 pro and at the beggining, it is a litle bit shocking. While in stock mode, you cannot remove the google bar at the bottom and also, it is not possible to remove the date at the top left of the phone. The customization is not like the offered by one ui, for example, the widgets in one ui can be faded, something that you cannot do in Material You. After some days you will get used to the Pixel 7 pro interface because it is so beautiful and smooth. In a couple of days you will love it.

The pixel 7 pro is new and I could get it for $17 a month for the 128gb model, I could get the iPhone 14pro 128gb model for $37 a month, or a refurbished s22 ultra for $12 a month.

    Pixel 7 pro gives your skin a more reddish tint imo and the s22 ultra is more accurate. At least thats what it looks like to me. Also Samsung is real close to pushing out official One UI 5.0. I am running the beta now and its really smooth. Sure fast updates is nice but not if they give you more software bugs. Just look at the train wreck the Pixel 6 series was software wise. Google tends to break their own devices more then fixing them.

    • @thatguy8841
      @thatguy8841 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's bs, those updates are what fixed the bugs in the 6 and the 7 came pretty much bug free. It's disingenuous to use the 6 to judge the 7, it's like me saying the S22 batteries are dangerous because Samsung phones exploded that one time.

    • @hhaste

      @@thatguy8841 Ehhh all Samsung batteries swell over time, though.. which is very dangerous. It *will* also happen with the S22, with time. Mrwhostheboss made a video on it, give it a watch.

    I still prefer my s22ultra because it is an overall better package for me in the eco system. I prefer the watch 5 pro and the tab s8 ultra and galaxy buds pro2 over googles like offerings. The pixel 6 pro was a bad experience for me and lacked features. People talk about smoothness and I haven’t had any issues on my s22 ultra, also if you open developer options you can change the animation speeds to your liking. Plus my security updates are better on Samsung and longer as well as software support. If Samsung could make their own os which they pretty much have I think pixel wouldn’t even be spoke of. I also have an iPhone 14pm with their respective eco system devices and so I like these two both imo. The pixel is good as a stand alone device but I prefer a more total package.

    • @a-terrible-fate532
      @a-terrible-fate532 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have both the Pixel 7 pro and the s22 ultra and I have gone back to the s22 ultra because of the simple stability of the phone I always have a software Bluetooth issue with Pixel phones and I just can't handle that even if the pixel 7 pro has a better camera and faster voice transcription. There are some AI features in the camera of the pixel phones that are absolutely love over the Samsung phones but that Bluetooth software issues I have with my headphones and routing the sound from the phone incorrectly just drives me away from the pixel until they can fix that stuff.

    • @kaiichinose9590
      @kaiichinose9590 ปีที่แล้ว

      @A-Terrible-Fate I went through the same issues with my pixel 6 pro except even worse, I think the regular pixel 6 and pixel 7 worked okay but the slow finger print reader ,apps crashing and buggy device overall had me send two of them back. It's sad because it's a clean device but samsung just performs overall better especially one ui and the wifi and cellular signal. I'm looking forward to the new snap dragon 8 gen 2, allegedly it's supposed to be as powerful and efficient as the A15 and just sliiiiiightly less powerful to the A16 in the 14pro series. I'm looking forward to having a more stable camera in the s23 ultra now that it will have the processing power to truly utilize its next camera.

    Since I use a protective case they could come only in bright yellow for all I care.
    I care most about how it performs.
    I did hear on the 108Mp that it gets a bit distorted above the 50 Mp setting.
    The picture looked better on the Pixel as the color was more realistic.

    Pixel cameras are better. Seen so many reviews and compared with my friends Samsung in real life. Definitely better on every camera. Looking at your pictures I will do it only confirms this more. More natural colors. Better focus and clarity. The Samsung literally makes your skin look yellow in the videos you were taking. I've seen enough of your videos to know your not that yellow 😆. This was a great review, but I do wish you went more into the user experience features that are only on there pixel that are incredible. One thing I LOVE about the phone is when you're on calls the AI creatures transcript and options to select, or will hold for you, very easy to do translations of languages, it does it's own CC in videos. There's lots of features but the ones improved in the phone calls and communication are untouchable by other phones. And most people would truly appreciate having those, yet they aren't heavily marketed features. Would be nice if someone did a full review on just user experience in daily use. 👍
