I don't think this is quite the same as other cruise changes. How often does a cruise line divert you to a country that the State Department has specifically said not to go to? I can't think of one.
@@ByteSizeCruises, the whole county of Haiti is Level 4. If I remember correctly, the warnings on Nassau, for example, were specific to leaving the port area. Jamaica currently has some Level 4 areas, but I don't think at the cruise ports. Seems like the other places named have had qualifications based on areas and activities. Haiti is the only one that the State Department just has a blanket "don't go anywhere there" warning
There's no roads through the mountains that leads into Labadee. You literally need to take a boat ride to get there, if you don't belong there very easy to see you coming. Tracking the mountains to get there will be the most dangerous thing one can do. One of the safest spot in Haiti in which Royal Caribbean do hire private security to look after. Port-Au-Prince, Haiti is really the hotspot of all the turmoil going on in the country. It's like saying level 4 for all the state of Florida cause Miami high crime rate, but you're just want to visit Disney in Orlando.
Ohhh hellll nooo 😮

Btw, I have a cruise booked already going to Labadee. But I get their concerns
I totally get the concerns. But that happens a lot. Nassau and Cozumel and Jamaica are on and off the state dept list of do not travel to.

It’s a private island and those advisories are for people who are going to the actual country itself. Anyone going there is in a protected bubble.
Insurance dont cover you their neither.
Enjoy your trip, Holiday 😊
Thanks Leslie.
