John ignore these nay sayers. People just like to complain to complain. Love your attitude and commentary. If people can’t appreciate it, they can keep on scrolling, right? Thanks for your time and review. As one who has never sailed RC, I really appreciate all the information.
Good video! Everything you said is why we only go RCL anymore! We've been on 20+ cruises with Carnival, Celebrity, Princess and mostly Royal. For us, unless you're going to Alaska or Europe, the ship is the destination. The Islands are great, but mostly all the same, save Coco Cay.
Just got back from the Sept 15 sailing. Had a phenomenal time. I liked the sea days and wasn’t really concerned about ports. They canceled Port Canaveral because of weather and we had an extra day so I was happy. Great weather for the perfect day.. I splurged and got the beach club. Got off the ship super early and had a great spot.. It never got really full, which I was surprised I thought the shows were the best I’ve seen and also had a blast at the street parties. A couple of nights the orchestra vocal leader for Hairspray plays the piano in the Schooner Bar. Connor was phenomenal. We had dinners in the MDR for most of the nights, but did book Choppes and Wonderland. I don’t think I would do the my time dining again, but do the late seating. I like the experience of having the same waiter and staff. We moved around quite a bit.. The most moving thing I’ve ever experienced was on this cruise ship when they honored all our heroes. The Cruise Director Elvis got the entire Royal promenade to go silent as taps was played.
I’ve done this itinerary twice on Oasis and doing it again next month on Symphony. Not a fan of the itinerary, but I’m an hour and ten minutes away so why not. Previous two times we went to Junkanoo and Cabbage beaches; hoping to change it up. We shall seel
Thank you, we go December 1. it is my husband’s first big cruise, we have done Margarita at sea not sure I count that, lol! I haven’t been on Royal since 2011. Can’t wait!
Can't comment on Oasis ships, however we sailed on Liberty of the Seas out of Bayonne. Embarkation was a snap! Baggage handling...same! TSA and airports could learn a lot from RC. Agree w/ your food assessment ! Tuscan's food was great, but just felt a bit rushed is all. Chops hit the spot! Sabor was fine, nice to have fresh guac. but we likely wouldn't revisit. Stewards and concierges service was over the top, really made the 5 day cruise for us. We had a blast...trying Celebrity next June.
I did Anthem for New Year's this past year. It was cold the first 2 days and last days, but we still had a great time. I wanted a cheap vacation at the last second (booked in Nov). I live in Livingston. You asked about Oasis, so I have been on Wonder. We have 2 celebrity booked for 2025. (from Seatle and Port Carnavel).
Hi John great video! I feel that because it left from NJ there isn’t great options. I have been doing carnival for years and it’s expected when leaving NYC. Carnival was great in the beginning but now…. I won’t comment how it is now. It’s big difference leaving from Fl. Going to sympathy oct 20th can’t wait. First time trying royal too.
hey, you mentioned X-rays at check-in - are these backscatter machines like at modern airports? haven't flown or cruised since 2015 so would like to be prepared.
I'm going on Symphony in October. Maybe you could comment on their reservation policies for their entertainment shows...Not really clear about when we can pre-book the Aquatic show and Ice Skating show. I'd like to pre-book rather than wait until we get on board

I was on 9/1/24 great cruise we were late getting off the ship due to ship traffic but it was excellent
Yep. i got on right after you.
hey, you mentioned X-rays at check-in - are these backscatter machines like at modern airports? haven't flown or cruised since 2015 so would like to be prepared.
No. The xray machines are just for bags. You walk through the standard metal detector ones

You got it. When are you going in October?
@@ByteSizeCruises We're on it back to back from Oct 6-20
@@pamgerris5481it's been up for a while now to book, I'm going on the 10/6 one
The Symphony is my favorite Royal ship
Love it
Anyone going Oct 13th to the 20th?
OMG, why has no one at this billion dollar company thought to have a separate drop off area and pick up area.
It’s insane
How do I get a job like yours? Going on a cruise is great.
Become a travel agent!!
@@ByteSizeCruises I might have too. Was on the Symphony of the seas September 15-22. Was a good cruise.
I heard the wizard of Oz museum 14:59 is beautiful in Orlando Cape Canaveral! Try that next time!
Definitely will. Thx!!
