Medaase, Trisha 😊 I'm not a native English speaker but I don't think so. Please check the correct transcription of "tall" in an English dictionary and you'll find same: /tɔːl/. You may start here: www.collinsdictionary.com/amp/english/tall dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/tall
@@learnakan Actually there are two sounds in English - ɔː as in tall (tɔːll) and ɔ as in ɔrange - the difference is in the two dots, tall is a long vowel sound and orange a short vowel sound. Very interesting, thank you for your amazing videos!
they probably say it like "Akwaraa" instead of "Akwadaa". Akwaraa is how akans pronounce it naturally. But written form is akwadaa. Like how British english speakers say "water" liker "wa-er" instead of emphasizing the T.
Very useful lesson for improving my pronunciation. Looking forward to doing this for the diphthongs.
This is a very good lesson! Thank you.

I'm confused about Akwadaa. Whenever I hear it spoken in conversation, it sounds very different to how it is spelled.
