    Good quality audio. I don’t know how you managed that with all that wind! I hope y’all are enjoying your summer in the park!

      We are enjoying our stay very much.......we have some fuzzies over the mics of our camera equipment, they are awesome for wind cancellation.

    Good job with video. I would never think there were so many rules.

      Right!? There are sooo many, but they are in place for conservation. It would be amazing that if in another 100 years, Yellowstone is still known for its amazing Fishing

      Thanks! Who knew there would be so many regulations for fishing in Yellowstone?

    Informative video but a little correction if you don’t mind. The only trout species native to the lake is cutthroat. Brown, and Rainbows are non native.

      I thought so. I looked up brown trout and found that they are not native to the Americas but are nevertheless catch & release in Yellowstone. www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/fsbdev3_018455.pdf

    Another thing to note: most of Yellowstone national park is fly fishing only, I believe only the lakes you can use spinning rods

    Thanks for the info. I will be working at Lake Lodge front desk this summer and I am sure I will get fishing questions. Where do I get the fishing rules and reg book that you have?

    Thanks for this useful information. Is that possible for to you make a video where to fish in Yellowstone NP 101? Especially, Yellowstone cutties. Thanks

      You’re very welcome. Thank for watching. We did not make a video of where to fish & Unfortunately, we are no longer in Yellowstone

    Hey Amanda did you or Ace catch anything? Do you catch and release? How would you prepare the fish with a Casita travel trailer? Just some curious questions for you to answer. I'll get there one day.

    • @2DovesNation
      @2DovesNation  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We haven’t caught anything yet. We just haven’t had any luck. They have a fish cleaning station at our campground and we probably would cook it outside. I’m thinking fish curry or grill in tinfoil.

    Good presentation! I'm disappointed, considering Yellowstone's position on going green, that every body who purchases a license gets a rules booklet. Seems a waste of paper. Are you folks considering posting the rules in the office? Are the rules posted online for those who have access to internet?

    • @2DovesNation
      @2DovesNation  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does seem like a waste of paper. I’m not sure if the rules are posted online or not.

    Wow, from $18 to $40 in just 4 years 😂😂😂 for a license to fish, ohhhh i love the freedom that we used to have.

    Are 2 stroke outboards allowed?

    • @2DovesNation

      Sorry, I'm not sure about 2 stroke outboards.

  • @MalachiLehbruh
    @MalachiLehbruh 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Umm browns and rainbows aren’t native and have a kill order on the lake right after the entrance along with cut bows I believe and brown trout aren’t native and I think they still said to keep them on Yellowstone river I haven’t been back in 4 years tho might this year

    • @2DovesNation
      @2DovesNation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We were going strictly by the fishing guide that comes with the Yellowstone license for that specific year.

  • @alsyoutube
    @alsyoutube 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Rainbow trout are not a native species, and can be kept. Same with brown. I'm not sure why she said you are not allowed to keep them.

    • @2DovesNation
      @2DovesNation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It could have been a mistake. We were just following the book that came with the license to fish inside the park at the time.

    • @2DovesNation
      @2DovesNation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching our video! I believe you can use power baits now, but I'm not sure the specifics. Things have changed a bit in 3 years.
