    We were in Yellowstone a couple years back and spoke with numerous people work camping there. Several were married teacher couples working during their summer break and everyone we spoke with said their experience working there had been positive. In the past we've spoke with a lot of people work camping at State Parks we've visited and their experiences have been mixed, from state to state.

      We find that Most work camping experiences similar. People have very mixed experiences. Thank you so much for watching our video.

    Thank you for the transparency, it is awesome to understand the boundaries of work-camping, because we too plan to do the same as we embark on full timing.

      It’s not always easy to be so transparent when it comes to talking about money💰, but Ace and I think it’s great info to have. We were a little wary of starting our work camping experience, because the information is hard to come by. We hope to encourage people to try this lifestyle by sharing the numbers. Stay tuned as we share interviews from other work campers & more adventures in Yellowstone. Thank you for watching!

    Just discovered your channel! We worked in West Yellowstone last summer at the IMAX theater and at the Marketplace Grocery. We had a great experience but I'm sure it's a better one actually working inside of the park. We are fulltime RVer's and workampers as well. Thanks for sharing how your pay was with Delaware North! Great info! I was curious if wondering if they would have given you an extra $1 an hour if you would have been able to complete the entire season. I know that a lot of companies will do something like that. Just curious if Delaware North does it.

    • @2DovesNation
      @2DovesNation  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. They have a completion bonus that I think is $1 for every hour worked.

  • @gregoryhodge9452
    @gregoryhodge9452 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    That doesn't sound like a good deal to me. Seems like the company is getting a lot of that $10.00 an hour back for themselves. Next time you should find a gig where they pay better and offer a full hook up site at no charge to you.

    • @2DovesNation
      @2DovesNation  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The pay is not that great, but it is about the location. It's a pretty sweet gig if you consider that you don't have to pay the entrance fee to the park or pay tourist prices for lodging when at the park.

  • @GabrielTheMagolorMain

    I love that you guys are able to find work while you’re traveling!
    That clinic fee makes me wonder, do you have health insurance while you travel? Of course it’s helpful, but could you have a state funded insurance (based on your income), but then how could you see your appointed physician? I’ve heard of people going to Europe and getting great medical care without insurance, but the US system is so complicated and varies so much state by state. I’ve lived in CA all my life and the insurance here has been great, even when I wasn’t working, but I know in many other states it’s not as easy. If you go to the clinic (which the fee makes total sense), do you just pay by service? Or could you use insurance? It doesn’t make sense to me that the fee would cover any service you need there, unless maybe a yearly check up. Of course you could still go to any ER, but who wants to do that for something minor. So many questions lol, I’m always interested in systems and processes and how things work. 😊

    • @2DovesNation

      It’s a unique experience. The plan is to be debt free by the end of 2020

    • @0906blue

      I've lived in Missouri and Wyoming and no neither gives you free medical. California is the welfare capital of America. Please be careful if you go somewhere else because it will be a culture shock. Most places you have to be self sufficient not government dependant.

    • @2DovesNation
      @2DovesNation  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The fee is to keep the clinic open. You can pay by service out of pocket or use your insurance. Ace is retired military and we have insurance through that.
      Ace & I have traveled around the world & have had medical emergencies in other countries.
