National NC60 Special Part 01

Just a first look at this 1959 American shortwave listening set, adapted for use on the UK mains supply. A brief look around the set, and some possible issues that might arise with it. The next step will be to remove the chassis, check and probably re-do the mains wiring, and replace filter capacitors and any paper ones.

Certainly looking forward to this series, Tim. I've seen this receiver before, long ago, can't recall where. Probably in somebody's shack. Love this kind of design, where the dial display dominates the face of the rig.
