I was 16 when I watched The Hitcher and man it blew me away it was so good! The next day even the other kids at school were talking about it! The critics unfortunately misunderstood the film.
Loved this review, my guy. You mentioning how C. Thomas Howell will always be Ponyboy Curtis from the Outsiders, is just what I was thinking. He was 17 when he did that film and he was 20 when he did The Hitcher.
@@KyleGauntReviews It certainly is It's Held as a great film in the film business witch It's just not as well known with the general public. I think The Similarities Between The Hitcher and The Terminator they both have a Relentless Killer and they both have a very 1980s feel and The Similarities Between The Hitcher and The Silence of the lambs Hannibal Lecter and John Ryder both have that Superficial Charm
I think the lack of a "relationship" between Ryder and Jim" adds to the horror. You just try to do the good thing and the proto-joker wants you to be the opposite of that decent person. I felt that at the end when we see Jim caress the Hitchers hair or when they held hands in the interrogation scene. Spoke volumes about their relationship. This film is prime example of show don't tell.

Excellent review Kyle. Loved it mate. I agree with you. This film is really underrated. I love it so much. Deserves to get talked about more.👍
Without a doubt man! And people have responded to it quite well so I hope its popularity increases. Now, it needs to get a blu-ray release!
@@KyleGauntReviews yeah definitely man. I agree.👍
My favorite movie!

@@KyleGauntReviews Not a problem, man. I love talking filmography and I love talking about this film.
Great review Kyle! As always I love this film I can see elements of the Terminator and The Since of the lambs in this movie
It inspired so many filmmakers, especially Christopher Nolan! And for good reason because it's fantastic. Thx for watching as always!!!
