yeah, Richter in Sotn is stupid, his side dash is a pain in the ass, and the R1, R2, L1 and L2 buttons are useless, they shouldve put the special moves in those buttons. altho in the mobile ver. he is very easy to use since his special moves are in buttons on the screen
@earlfloyd4076 what I hate is why does his whip hit in only one direction. Why didn't they make it like Castlevania 4 where the whip can go in all direction. Same as Mega Man. You can't shoot up or sideways like Metroid. It's stupid.
Get the Best ending and beat the whip's memory to unlock both richter and the sisters mode and to get the best ending you have to find a special spell that turns the sisters back to there mortal self

That was indeed a break. However, I did use one save state later in the run (as the footage clearly shows) purely to work around the double Frankenstein room in the Nest of Evil.
@@shovatar1635 Okay yeah that is very understandable. Nest of evil is pretty ridiculous to do in one go. For me the one row of enemies I couldn't do in one go without rewinding was the one with Abaddon at the end. For some reason I couldn't time him very well with Richter, even though I've already played Dawn of Sorrow, the game he's originally from...
I know why you didn't do a full playthrough of Curse with Trevor, you already played the whole game with Hector. But I was still hoping, quality play throughs of Trevor mode are hard to find on TH-cam
Under normal circumstances I would have, but Curse of Darkness is a very long game (by Castlevania standards) and also one that I didn't enjoy playing very much. The Tower + Boss fights were really the only parts that I thought were exciting. My apologies.

This game uses the SotN formula because SotN is the pioneer or perfecter of the metroidvania genre. With the success of SotN, Konami decided to abandon the classic vania games and move to the metroidvania we know today.
