Thank you for the wonderful tutorial. I have tried to do the peyote stitch years ago and it was a disaster. This time, using your tutorial I was able to complete a ring and I was extremely happy with it. I wish I could show you a picture of my ring, I am very pleased with the finished project. Thanks again. Bright Blessings
Hi Theo! That's so awesome; I am so happy that you were able to follow along and make a ring! Feel free to send me a pic to orchidopaljewelry@gmail.com. Thanks for letting me know!! 💜
Love the ring! I have only been making jewelry for about a year.....you have inspired me to try something new. I'm sure it will take me twice as long as you did, but trying something new is always exciting in the jewelry making world! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and expertise!
That's awesome! These rings can be so addicting to make, and once you get the hang of them you will be super fast, I just know it!! Thanks so much for watching, and I appreciate your comment!
Thanks for the tutorial. It took me starting over six times, but I did it! I used Sapphire in the middle and Galvanized Silver for the border and I’ve already gotten SO MANY compliments on it! Will be trying others, too! Keep ‘em coming! Thanks! 🥰
Hi Gina, thank you for uploading this tutorial. I never tried peyote before, but in your video it looks so easy that I try to do it. And it works! Many thanks!
Very nice tutorial! Speaking.only to explain what you were doing and what we needed to do, in other words, no excessive talking. I'd bought some delicas sometime back and had been wanting to learn peyote and now, thanks to you I [think] I can! New Subscriber here, thanks! Stella in Austin
Thanks for sharing this. I've been admiring your rings ever since I found your channel. You make it look so easy. I tried once and what a mess. That was a long time ago. Might give it another try. Love the colors. Thanks again! Have a blessed day.
Thanks for the tutorial, I've been wondering how you made the rings you've been wearing. I think I'll give it a try as soon as I can get some delica beads.
I just found your channel. I love you.I love your comments about some company's bead boxes. Good or Bad. Most people say everything is beautiful, and we all know it isn't love this simple ring and can't wait to make some for my craft fair in November.I noticed you had a bandage on your hand in some videos and now you don't looks like a bad burn. Hope it gets better soon. Keep up the great work.
Thank you, and I am so glad you found me!! I try to be honest, so I am glad you appreciate that. Yeah, unfortunately I burned myself on my curling iron, which is not so good when I show close-ups of my hands in the videos...ugh! It's healing, and of course looks so much more obvious up close. Thanks for your kind words!!! Thanks for watching! :)
Thank you for this. Because of seeing your rings, I made a peyote stitch ring but tried to add a center embellishment of beads...first try at the peyote stitch which worked great...the embellishment, not so much. 🤣 BUT I will remake and keep it simple. I know what I did wrong at least!
That's awesome, though! I think it is really great that you took it, and tried to build upon it to make it your own. I go through a lot of trial and error myself. The videos are definitely not showing all the times I mess up, but that's how we learn and create! Thanks so much for watching!
thank you for sharing...i love this and will be making my very 1st one soon. If we make these to sell, do you suggest we use a ring sizer to make them......
Awesome, Kim! Yes, if you want to make various sizes, it would be helpful to have a ring sizing tool to gauge the sizes and keep them consistent. You'll have to let me know how you did! 💜
Just started with peyote stitch and decided to try this, had some goofs, I chose 2 sparkly beads a sort of root beer brown color I don't have the name of and the 1 I have the name of is orchid, they don't have much contrast between them, I also had my cat come along and walk around in front of me, while I was trying to get her to go away she lunged at the thread and upset the bead pot so I had beads all over the counter I was working at. It's the first project I haven't taken apart. I think I made it a few rows too big but on the whole I'm happy with it. Next time I'm picking a sparkly and a matte color in very different shades. I couldn't get my needle through any of the thread bridges so I just wove zig zags through the ring with both tails.
Hi Gina. I'm glad for this. I will be making this as soon as i get my beads. Have you heard of a bead place called Golden age beads if so let me know what you think of them.
I really learn from your tutorials. I like your teaching style. This ring is addictive though...I blame you...Lol. I'm not quick, but I am satisfied with how it looks when I'm done. I know you're very experienced, so what exactly do you mean by quick for one of these rings? About 1 hour? Less? More? My obsession to finish has kept me up late one night this week already?😍
I am so glad to hear that you've been enjoying my tutorials! I think they take about 2 hours for me from start to finish because I have made so many. You can do it! Don't worry about the quick part, just try to enjoy the process, and know that you'll get there eventually. Beading should be enjoyable and not stressful. ;-) Have a great weekend!
Hi Kathline! You sure can! Just make the length as long as you want, and add a clasp. You can use flat crimp ends to attach the beadwork to the clasp, or you can bead on some loops on the ends to attach the clasps. Here is one example of a wider bracelet: www.pinterest.com/pin/576108977328090629/
Hi there! I'm not very aware of a stretch cord that would work since you would need to use a needle, and ones that will fit elastic are too big. If anyone else knows of a product that would work, though, I'd love to hear about it!
I love your tutorial that was a beautiful ring I love that color, bronze and Peach it's so beautiful,I we are try my hand at it and let you know that and that I made it thanks so much
Such a cute ring! I have seed beads but looks like I’ll have to get some delicas!! Is it always best to knot your tail in at the end? I’m asking because in knitting or crochet, you weave your tail in as you go so it’s hidden right away (you don’t make knots in knitting or crochet but I understand that it’s needed in beading to secure what you’ve made). So I was wondering if you could just weave it in after a couple rows and would it be secured? Thank you in advance! 💜
I have done a little bit of knitting and crocheting, so I know what you are referring to about weaving in, and not knotting. With beading, you will do a combo of knotting, then weaving to keep everything very secure. You can definitely weave in the tail as soon as you have a few rows done. Then the tail won't be in the way as much while you are continuing to bead, as well. Thanks for watching, and for your comment!
This is Wadiya here. Love that peyote stitch. I tried once to do it and failed miserably. I become a little confused... I think my first line of beads somehow turned without realizing it. So needless to say it was a disfigured mess. You made it look so easy!
Hi Wadiya! It can definitely be confusing at first. I think this is a great intro to peyote stitch for newbies since it is a small project, and there is not a lot of variation/change in colors. If you try it, I hope this one works out for you! Thanks for watching!! :)
Hey how do you figure out the patterns for other designs with Peyote? You wear the heart one a lot and I have found other designs so I wasn’t sure if there is a way to pre map them out for the rings
Orchid and Opal Jewelry & Beads oh awesome!!! Thanks!’ Love your videos!! I made a memory wire bracelet today and I’m in love! I wanna make so many more!
Hi Celissity! Your comment made me giggle. Seriously, though, one way is to take a piece of string and wrap it around his finger, then cut the string to the length of the circumference of the finger you are trying to fit. Then, make the beaded strip about the length of that piece of string. Hope that helps! 😊💜
Thank you for the wonderful tutorial. I have tried to do the peyote stitch years ago and it was a disaster. You're very welcome, Silvia! I am so glad it worked for you!! I appreciate you letting me know. :)
Thanks for this, I'm making two somewhat matching rings for me and a friend. I love the shape of the Delicas and how they fit so well together.
Awesome, Jessica! Have fun, and thanks for watching!

Thanks so much, Teri! I really appreciate your kind feedback, and hope yours turns out great. Thanks for watching!

I'm so glad you were able to locate it! I should have 3 peyote ring tutorials. I hope to do some more in the future! :)
Fun to make! Thanks for making the tutorial!
I made a thick band and a thin band with the same colors, these are fun to make.
That sounds awesome! They are kind of addicting to make, aren't they?! :)

Thanks for posting!! Love this Ring! Where did you get a 300yd spool?! I’ve only seen 125yd
Hi Mia! I purchased on Amazon. Here is the link: amzn.to/2BO2spv
I'm finding it difficult to do for I would love to see the whole ring being done around the other side as well. How do I measure my fingers for this?
Hey just wondering if could make it to be a bracelet and if so how would I be able to
Hi Kathline! You sure can! Just make the length as long as you want, and add a clasp. You can use flat crimp ends to attach the beadwork to the clasp, or you can bead on some loops on the ends to attach the clasps. Here is one example of a wider bracelet: www.pinterest.com/pin/576108977328090629/
is using elastic thread to make it stretchy, is that possible?
Hi there! I'm not very aware of a stretch cord that would work since you would need to use a needle, and ones that will fit elastic are too big. If anyone else knows of a product that would work, though, I'd love to hear about it!

Do you have a list of lengths that make certain ring sizes?
I don't at the moment. Google to the rescue! ;-) 💜Thanks for asking!
Hey how do you figure out the patterns for other designs with Peyote? You wear the heart one a lot and I have found other designs so I wasn’t sure if there is a way to pre map them out for the rings
Hi Mia, I will be doing one new ring pattern a month on my channel. I will do the heart one in Jan. :)
Is it possible to make the ring thinner? Like only do one row of outer beads and two rows of inner?
Hi Chelsea! Absolutely. Keep it to an even number of rows, and it is the exact same process. Thanks for watching!
Orchid and Opal Jewelry & Beads oh awesome!!! Thanks!’ Love your videos!! I made a memory wire bracelet today and I’m in love! I wanna make so many more!
