The ttc is actually doing quite well in terms of accessibility. The whole streetcar and bus fleet is accessible, and the large majority of stations are accessible with all the rest under construction. Good work is being done
Bro, did they hold the elevator opening ceremony yesterday? Because the elevators have been open since August with the quietest announcement buried in the TTC's website. What a joke. But of course, the TTC probably just forgot as usual that they have a second subway line and had to acknowledge it while they were busy giving the favourite child all the attention (Line 1). Also, I go to Donlands Station everyday on my school commute, and the day I get sick is the day that CityNews comes to film everything!? Man, when am I ever gonna be on TV again...
Why are we doing a negative framed segment when Toronto quite literally has the most accessible metro system in North America and has a funded plan underway to make it 100%
Stations weren't built with a future elevator expansion at the time. It's not the actual building of the elevator that takes time but where to put it. Some need an alternate entrance to be built, some need an entrance building just to fit one, etc. There's also only a handful of companies that install elevators.
Took long enough. That station has been in rough shape for a long time. While they are fixing it up, why not get rid of the close Gateway and add a Tim Hortons.

Quiet as it’s kept, Toronto has the most accessible stations in North America.
